A friend introduce me to this mommy and I class when my baby was 2 months old. I have attended these classes since then and my baby is 9 months old now. I highly recommend the Butterfly center. Rina is very knowledgeable, caring, patient, and friendly. These classes have helped my son become more social and these have also helped ME be better prepared as a new mom. It can be isolating staying at home taking care of a little one (and quite scary not knowing what to do as they grow). These classes have given me peace of mind and both my son and I get a lot from them. It also offers and opportunity to see other moms and learn from each other's experiences. I had no idea what I was in for when my husband signed us up for Childbirth classes through the butterfly center. I'm usually a high anxiety person and read that sometimes classes can cause more anxiety. Rina, an absolute angel, put all my fears at ease. My husband and I looked forward to Monday night birthing classes with Rina. I gained so much knowledge through the birthing process because of her class. I walked in more confident going to the hospital than I ever would've if I didn't take the classes. If you're on the fence and wondering if childbirth classes are worth it, I can promise you, you won't regret these classes with the sweetest woman ever. The Butterfly Center was one of the best things I did for my daughter and I. Together, we learned so much and met wonderful families. Each week, I looked forward to Rina's class and watching my little one light up with excitement and wonder. The guest speakers were always very informative and the field trips were incredibly fun. I took the Newborn baby and I class with my daughter and loved it so much! It was so nice to have such a welcoming and calming environment to go to every week. I learned a lot in the class, and have already recommended it to anyone I know who is expecting a little one. She fostered a community of support for us new (and not so new) mommas and created a safe space to be vulnerable, ask questions, and simply just be known among those going through the same things! She is highly experienced with this area and is constantly staying informed with new research and evidence based practices in parenting to help better guide her clients through these challenging (but wonderful!) times! Rina is amazing and an answered prayer! Even though we read all the books as first time parents we felt very overwhelmed and lost. Took us about 4 weeks post baby to find her but as soon as we met her things got better. She provided us with so much guidance and knowledge. We will never be able to thank her enough. Attending classes at the Butterfly Center was the best thing I ever could have done being a new mom. Rina is so knowledgeable and was so helpful with all of my parenting and breastfeeding questions. She is also so dedicated and passionate about her field. I felt so lonely being a new mom because none of my friends had children yet. I'm STILL friends with the mom's I met in this group. There's something magical about being around others who share common (and sometimes uncommon) hurdles and joys. We laughed, cried and LEARNED SO MUCH. The women who run the center are empathetic, supportive, and full of knowledge. I recommend this to any and every mom. My son and I love the classes at The Butterfly Center! We have especially enjoyed the Baby & I classes with Rina. The 0-3 month class helped me get out of the house and meet other mommies who were going through similar things. The class is very supportive and educational. We are now in the 4 month - crawling class and my son loves being around the other babies and I love learning about his development and what's to come.
