While the niche is "grab and go" they do have seating for dining in. The menu is creative, constantly changing, and always filled with tasty items. Really wanted to rave about this place. Cheyenne needs a good fried chicken place. The fried…read morechicken was beautifully golden and coating wonderfully applied. However, everything but the collards lacks flavor. Chicken looks good, but tastes like nothing. Addition of black pepper, red pepper, garlic. Anything would be nice. Potatoes were instant, which could be okay if they added butter or sour cream. Again, anything to make it taste like something. Gravy was the same. Flavorless. Also a dark beef gravy is an odd choice for chicken. Rolls were off the shelf, boring, cold and plain. Not even a pat of butter or warm up. Collards were the one thing that had flavor. Downside was I got more neck bones in it, then greens. Maybe it was the bottom of the pot serving. Very nice lady at the window though. Pleasant and cheerful on a cold day.

Little Bear Inn has been operating on the outskirts of Cheyenne since 1958. Despite coping with…read moreownership changes, fires, Covid shutdowns and bad economies, this restaurant is a survivor. The decor is part rustic, part casual, part strange, but very comfortable in a cozy way. It's probably as close to "fine dining" as you'll find in the Cheyenne area, with a high-end "country club" menu that doesn't look like it has changed much in 65 years. I mean, where else would you find Frog Legs in a Rocky Mountain restaurant with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Perry Como on the background music? Steaks, chops, chicken, fish & shrimp will give any diner an array of choices. Everything we ordered was really very good (see pictures), not spectacular, but taste and quality was well worth the price. And, the bar knows how to mix great cocktails! Plus, service was OUTSTANDING, with our waitress, Cheyenne (seriously), who could not have been more helpful & pleasant all evening. Bottom line: I'm giving Little Bear Inn 4 solid stars, with one caveat if you'd like to get to 5 stars: I'm asking management to do a little more on plate presentation. The food is great, but it's served as if we are in a cafeteria, with no thought in the kitchen to making it "look pretty" before it gets to the table. I'm sure the kitchen can do better with some effort. A little more attention to making your dishes look as good as they taste would go a long way to keeping customers happy. I'll definitely be back, but I'm hoping for just a little more effort in dish presentation.

The bread was just okay, but the lemon chicken, sautéed vegetables, and French onion soup were phenomenal. Unfortunately, the experience really fell apart when it came time to pay. It took around 30-45 minutes just to get the bill and complete the payment. At that point, I was honestly considering not leaving a tip or just walking out. It's a shame because the food was genuinely excellent, but the extremely slow service at the end left a bad enough impression that I probably won't be back.

Peas and rice lacked seasoning and had 8 beans in it. I basically bought a bowl of under seasoned rice. Braised cabbage was good and goat curry very tasty. Just be warned, you dont get much of an entree for the price point. I love Jamaican food, but traditionally get a side of peas and rice rather than a side sized portion of the entree.

My coworker ordered cheese fries and was given cold fries with cheese sprinkled on top afterwards. Respectfully, how is that acceptable to send a customer? They don't care. Also what Mexican themed restaurant doesn't have jalapeños? They're super stingy on proportions. A side of rice is 3$, but is only two spoonfuls. Laughably small. You want to add onions? Yeah you'll get like, two tiny pieces... There are better options in town for the same cost, don't spend the money here.
