    Pica pau (woodpecker)

It looks fancier than it is. I got a completely different steak than I ordered, also it wasn't cooked like I asked and included an enormous amount of tough fat (gristle), more then I'm used to. It came with a heap of salt, but strangely the meat was already quite salty. Also bo black pepper was available, which it could really use. Our server didn't ask if everything was ok, nor did we get a chance to ask for an extra drink. My wife's hamburger on the other hand was absolutely terrific, but remember the whole theme of the restaurant revolves around steak, not burgers. Also the pica pau (chunks of meat in buttersauce) was out of this world delicious. Not to go into details but I had to say goodbye to my meal as soon as we arrived at our hotelroom an hour later. But we did enjoy ourselves. Maybe the fact that musical classics like Billy Idol's cradle of love was coming through the speakers also helped :)

Butchers has a great location, a sun-bathed patio and great food - their aged meats are delicious and perfectly grilled, pairing with salad and with crispy sweet potato fries. You'll yum from the first bites. Their sangria - with options for red, white, or sparkling, is also a must, and to end it all they have a great panna cotta that you'll die for. Highly recommended!

Excellent steak and hamburger. We ate there 2 times. The t-bone was better than the ribeye.

I usually get the T-bone, but this most recent trip my waiter recommended the entrecote (rib eye) which was also excellent.

Bufalo Grill - You can't argue with a Brazilian rodizio and, here, this was just starting out with salads and cold cuts (business may be closed)

I ate at this Bufalo Grill, a Brazilian buffet styled rodizio grill, prior to eating at Chimarrao…read more In fact, I went to Chimarrao in the city center anticipating it would be like Bufalo Grill. It wasn't. I found Bufalo Grill to be much better. Bufalo Grill is located in Parque das Nacoes, and within a short walk of the Tryp Oriente Hotel. With several restaurants in Parque das Nacoes, I stumbled into it and was able to tell that it featured buffet style dining. The location is very nice, being modern and with a high ceiling and floor to ceiling windows that look out on the Rio Tejo and some of the Expo 98 buildings. Virtually every item I sampled, including all of the meat and poultry, was good. There was no doubt about that. Even a dessert ordered at the end of the meal was very good. The pricing scheme seemed simple. While the service was slightly less friendly than at Chimarrao, everything else, particularly the setting, was better at Bufalo Grill. A meal here called for a snooze afterwards. It was convenient to be a short walking distance away from the Tryp Oriente Hotel ... and a comfortable bed. What they didn't offer was a wheelbarrow ride back to the hotel!

My waiter was nowhere to be found. It's possible that this experience would be very different with a different waiter. Some of the other food looks amazing and I see my neighbors waiters all the time. Very dissapointing.
