This is a man that cares about his work & his customers…read more I've lived in the Boise area since March & not one friend could give me the name of a trustworthy reasonable mechanic. I tried using Yelp to help find a shop that had high ratings & mostly positive reviews. I had a shop (Walter @ Mac's Automotive) convince me that replacing my rear end assembly instead of rebuilding the differential would be more cost-effective due to labor & parts. Initially quoted me $2300 ($1700 for the rear end) + $500 for 2 sensors that had to be replaced (told me that I had to do all 4). Ended up having Scott tow my truck from that shop to his & I told him what The prior shop had told me. To my surprise, Scott came back that same day quoting me $1300 for the rebuild. Then he mentioned the sensors & expressed their importance but I didn't have to do all 4. All said & done........$1655 out the door! Thank God For Perfection Drivetrain!

He also put some gas in my car to test drive it and didn't charge me. When I went in to the shop it looked like they have a thriving business going on so everyone must like their service with a smile. I wasn't familiar with any mechanics in the area since I just recently moved back here after loving in Eagle and Nose the last few years. I paid more than I would have liked to but Inflation had caused everything to go up. I'm sure they are inline with the industry standard for the cost of their work. I was traveling through Mountain Home area from Louisiana when a fuel line started leaking on my…read more2012 F250 diesel a little before 8 am. I was able to drive it to this shop. A mechanic on duty informed me that he had a used line on on an old motor. He pulled the line off of the old motor but said his boss wouldn't let him work on my truck until he finished a "locals" truck and then that would be a maybe so. I asked if I could buy the line and change it myself. The owner then stated that he wasn't sure he wanted to sell the line. I called the FORD dealership and they got me one out of Boise by 2:30 in the afternoon. I ended up changing it myself in a parking lot but the owner could have saved me a lot of time and could have replaced the line with a new one the next day knowing he wouldn't need that line. If FORD hadn't had the means to get me a line in 6 1/2 hours, this man would have had me sit for an extra day because he didn't want to sell someone 1,800 miles from home a used fuel line. The mechanic and receptionist are great and really tried to help.

My husband's truck broke down last weekend in Mountain Home, On Monday, he was back out working at…read morethe base and called AAA to have it towed home to Kuna. These guys were absolutely amazing. They got there within 15 minutes loaded up and when they dropped it off they did the absolute best they could to put it where he wanted it. They even offered to help him push it to prlercisely the exact spot he wanted it. Hopefully we don't need the service again but if we do they would be our first call! Thanks guys!!!!!
