This is great pizza. Loads of flavor. If you ordered a plain cheese your kids will it! I had a basic pepperoni. It's their square deep dish and the crust is light and airy with a nice crisp (very subtle) on the bottom. I gave 4 stars because this pizza for me is an every once in a while style. I'm a New Haven style fan so this is quite the opposite of what I prefer. Like I said it's really flavorful and not to mention a steal at their current prices! read more

AHHHHHHH THE BEST FREAKING BUSCEMIS!!! So boom! There's a ton of these right? Yet idk why THIS ONE is so great. During the lunch hour is the best time to go (honestly any time is fine) but the lunch rush has FRESH HOT immediately out the oven! Everyone is usually so efficient and nice here. It's a pizza place inside of a liquor store so as far as ambiance, ya a bit limited lol I always add butter and parm to my pizza and here is just, AHHH so good! For a good pizza you must stop by! Hi my name is beth Hello i go by junior wessel and i just wanted to take a second to talk about the HORRID experience i had a buscemi's party store. So first i called through in online call and order a vegan pizza party platter and requested for it to be very well done. Second, when i came into there their demeanor was VERY VILE AND Infuriating and it hurt me very much, when i finally got my pizza after waiting 600 seconds when i got home i looked at my vegan pizza party platter and it was RAW and there was bones in it even though i didn't order a bone in pizza and that pissed me off on my momma and another thing the cheese was had dairy in it and was horrendous to the taste and fell off in one piece. they smushed my slices that just came out of the oven so they were all stuck together and stuffed into a tiny little box. when i asked them to put it in a different box they said "they cants just put one slice in a box" but i go to this location often and they do not put them in a tiny box like they did today and all i was asking was to have the slices not on top of eachother and smooshed. i got home and the slices were all stuck together. I will not be returning due to their attitude and disrespectful behaviors read more

Quick and delicious - Buscemis in Utica is the perfect spot to grab a slice or two of their fantastic pizza and drink. The staff is friendly and generally efficient (very minor quirk: they could pay a little more attention to the line getting out of control and people lining up in the wrong spots). Best Buscemi location. Old school and hasn't deviated from the menu. Torpedo's made fresh to order and perfectly toasted (must request). Great service. Phone orders are taken in a timely manner. I've been going to this one for over 25 years. Since they opened and I'll tell you. It's just like the original Buscemi of the 80's. Can't say that about any other location. read more

i ordered two classic italian subs & when my husband went to pick it up they handed him a pizza & breadsticks. when he told them that wasn't what we ordered they claimed it's what was on the ticket (i have the receipt) & became very rude. One of my new favorite pizza places. They have everything from snacks, to beer and liquor, and pizza. I love the deep dish pizza platter. Each slice was big, filling, and the crust was just perfect.If I could change one thing it would be the sauce. I did not make the order, so the sauce was a bit heavy. I won't blame them for that. Next time I know to ask for lighter sauce. The pizza time was not to long. They have an atm with bitcoin, scratch offs, and lots of snack to choose from while you wait. I will come back! read more

One stop to grab a quick dinner and drinks to go with it. The pizza was good and not greasy like some other square pizzas. The crust had good flavor and was nice and crunchy. It was ready quickly. The large was also bigger than comparable pizza chains. They had a plexiglass shield to protect customer/cashier transactions and tape on the floor to help social distancing. read more

I only go to this Buscemis. I did notice a difference lately, and I have not seen the owner in the store, like I always did. I think that they may have new owners also. Like one other reviewer, I notice that they do not put as much pepperoni on their pizza like they did in the past. Anyways, I still prefer this location. The store is clean, quite a lot to choose from, and the food is great! I just happened to return to this Buscemis, and it is the same owner. I saw him in the store for the first time in a while, so I had just assumed that there were new owners. Happy to say, that is not the case. The change in the amount of pepperoni on the pizza lately, is probably just due to the person who is making the pizza that day. Not everyone makes things the same way. read more

Very nice since they've been updating. They have a very full staff, two registers and the food ordering is separate to likewise increase speed of service. They have pretty much everything you would need from this sort of store. Only downside is they are only open until ten. It does make sense productivity wise though. They can't have all those people clocked in when it slows down at night. read more

I have been going here for over 12 years. It saddens me that Mask Wearing by shoppers is not enforced along with the pro-republican election signs in front of the building. Everyone has a right to vote anyway they want. For me, I have the right to not spend any money on any establishment that promotes anti-mask, pro Republican candidate's. Also, the slices are not consistent. Whoever is making the slices must change on a daily basis. They are now too Doughy, not enough sauce, and way too much cheese. They are basically a breadstick with some stuff on it. That is disappointing. read more

I'm definitely liking this Buscemis as a quick and easy stop for something to drink or eat. They have a good selection of liquor, (local/craft) beer, wines and pop/water/regular drinks. The people that work here are friendly and the food is fast and fresh. Really, it's all you can ask for in a "party store". I'm putting that word in quotations because it evokes a dark and dingy type of place feeling to me.. and this is the opposite. The store is bright and nice looking, plus it is super clean! Last call for alcohol.....if I'm headed to my sisters, this is it before I get to her house, without having to veer off my path...but veer I think I'll do the next time... I just find that Buscemis is a bit expensive for my tastes... We came in for prom to buy some refreshments. My friends brother who has a stomach issue and isn't all there mentally asked to use the bathroom and they said yes and then no then kicked us out and swore at us to get out of the store after we complied they called the police and lied about a physical altercation. Super rude and unprofessional especially to try and ruin a prom night because someone had to use a bathroom. read more

Menu are both physical and virtual via QR code to access their website menu. There is definitely too much to talk about here so be sure to look at my pics as I've provided a quick summary in the captions. J Baldwin's famous calamari. After receiving the dish, I think I've had it before at J Baldwin's in Clinton Twp. The calamari is not your typical calamari and is sauced with his Beurre Blanc famed on the Food Network. While it's still breaded, the Beurre Blanc is enough to soften it completely while adding an explosion of flavor. The Beurre Blanc is made with olive oil, shallots, peppercorns, bay leaves, lemon juice, wine, and cream. Personally I think this dish was way too sauce heavy. There wasn't a single crispy bite. While flavorful, I was looking forward to a light and crispy texture, but didn't get it. I think this could have been accomplished with going lighter in the sauce, maybe just drizzling it on, and providing a serving of it on the side. 3,5 stars. Truffle Sausage Pizza. Tradition hand tossed dough that's not too thick and not too thin. Italian sausage, truffle oil, parsley, Gouda, Mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. The Italian sausage was not what I expected. Rather than slices or tiny meatballs, it was ground up. I kinda liked it to tell you the truth, but it wasn't evenly applied. It was more densely populated in the center, which left the perimeter sparse with toppings. While the truffle oil sounded good, it didn't work for me. Here's the thing you need to know about truffle oil, it's not made from truffles (mushrooms)! That's right, truffle oil is typically made from extract, which is why the flavor is so intense and a little goes a long way. Local Carbonara Bucatini. Made the traditional way with cuts of pork cheek (guanciale). The bucatini pasta was nicely done and not overcooked. The guanciale was also nice and crispy as it should be. It was lighter on the cheese than I would have liked and none was served on the side, but it was Pecorino Romano and it was shaved from a block. Did I ask for more on the side, of course I did! The black pepper wasn't also as prominent as it should have been, but the server did have some fresh ground at the ready when it was served. 4 stars. Overall, I would have to say that I'm still a fan of J. Baldwin's Testa Barra. The food is prepared fresh with quality ingredients, and the dishes are inspirationally classic, and sometimes with innovating or modern twist. I'm used to calamari coming with a side of marinara but this came with cocktail sauce. It was nothing special and probably wouldn't order it again. The escargot, normally a favorite of mine, was to rave about either. The sauce it came in was very bland and my girlfriend ended up adding salt to it to make it taste better. Main courses were a better choice. I had the gnocchi with Palomino sauce and it was excellent. They give quite a big portion so I had enough leftovers for the next day. The birthday girl got the Veal Mamma Assunta my other friend went with the shrimp Casalinga (their house speciality). They both said they liked their choices but it wasn't anything exceptional. I think depending on what you order certain dishes are better than others. We had a good experience and the portions are large but it just seemed there were a few things lacking that could have made it a great experience. I would still recommend Luciano's but I would come here when it wasn't a busy weekend or during lunchtime.

The first thing I took note of is the regular pizza sizes are incredibly small. I had to order an entire pizza party platter for myself just to satiate my incredibly humongous appetite. The pizza was ok. I'll give it that. the restaurant's ambiance is just horrible. It makes me sorrowful I ever set foot in there. It did however taste foul in my mouth and my sensory glands in my mouth were nearly telling me to spit it back out. I believe this is at fault of nothing other than the cheese. It was a solid layer of thick, rotten, horrendous cheese that most likely had been left in room temperature for an extended period of time. Following this I began to gluttonize myself with around 50 bread sticks. These most likely were left out for too long as they were cold by the time I took my hour drive back home. The restaurante is drab. It's bleak. I don't want to set my feet back in it. The thing that upmost upsets me with this place, however is my appetite was still not satisfied as I gratified my tastebuds to putrid food. I wanted to slake my massive unquenchable hunger. This is the best buscemis in Michigan. Personally my favorite pizza and everyone there is great. Meghan is awesome and Mike is a pretty cool guy too. The rest of the staff are nice and well put together. Store is very clean and they have all the alcohol selection that you may want, with the freshest and best tasting pizza around. I'll start this trip with Buscemi's, a well-known convenience store and delicatessen. I arrived a bit ahead of my expected arrival time, only to find out there was a problem with the order I was to deliver. They'd had a 'run' on sausage and had run out, and they were unable to contact the customer with the phone number they'd given. I, too, was unable to reach them by phone, and my texts asking them to call Buscemi's were ignored. The deli decided to put the order together without sausage and subtracted the extra cost from the prepaid order and asked me to deliver their apology with the meal. I delivered the food as instructed and had a chance to explain about the changed order with the customer; they appreciated the store's honesty and accepted the delivery as-is. What could have been a tense confrontation with an irate client was diffused by a simple explanation, and I was pleased to be part of the solution. I'd recommend Buscemi's to anyone who's craving a quality product from honest, hard-working people.
