Just an initial note to state that this business is incorrectly named, and should actually be…read morecalled 'Hylton John'. This business has been in Haverfordwest forever, and is run by a local family. Situated on Castle Square, right in the middle of town, this is the truly old-fashioned type of menswear retail, where they look at you when you walk through the door and can tell exactly what size you are (you almost expect them to say 'suits you sir' when they're measuring you up but don't worry, they don't!) They stock absolutely everything to do with menswear, and also provide formal suit hire. They provide men's clothing in short, regular and long fittings, and up to 56" Chest Measurement. They also stock school uniforms for the local schools, and have excellent customer service.

The clothing at The Wardrobe reminds me of something a Sloane Ranger or "Hooray Henry" (I love that phrase) would wear to a weekend excursion to the country. In any case, it's a relief to see a store cater to men who have outgrown graphic T-shirts, skinny jeans and trainers. Tasteful, classic and a bit on the expensive side, The Wardrobe offers a range of clothing from designers like Armani, Lacoste, Ralph Lauren and Henri Lloyd. I quite like seeing a man in clothing like this, especially a fine suit. Good Lord. Anyway, The Wardrobe also has an online store, perfect for a browse if you can't make it to the High Street Arcade shop, or if you fancy a bit of retail therapy outside of business hours. Do try to make to the store though, dahling. You'll be glad you did.

There are some really great items on display in the windows, ranging from ultra smart to really quite casual. They provide suits and shirts while also fitting in all the everyday essentials too. But always classy. This is quite a middle class shop, where rich boys with side partings might come to find something to wear for playing cricket in. But the prices are reasonable and they often have offers on the cards. It's nice to see somewhere guys can go and pick up nice clothes without having too much chance of it all going horribly, horribly wrong.

If she knows you or recognises you she will often hold items back for you ,then you can go back and buy them when you have some more money. The window displays are always good and they sell some great outfits for men and women. The only negative thing that I can say about the shop is that it is slightly smallbut it still has a lot in.

This is a large Next store and has two floors incorporating womens clothes, mens clothes, children and baby clothes and home furnishings. On the whole I find this store to be a bit better laid out than others close by and you will find a better range from the catalogue in here. The only thing I dislike is the fact that most of the clothes have a very steep price tag, I appreciate that Next sell clothes of a good quality however their prices seem to have shot up in a time when people have less to spend. The staff are as always friendly, helpful and polite and I would not hesitate to recommend the store.

Everything fresh and looked after and the staff extremely friendly - a great service altogether. I think we just discovered our favourite place for coffee in Carmarthen. UPDATE DECEMBER 2008: Another excellent visit to this pleasant cafe. Discovered today that all coffee and teas there are Tradefair and the very helpful and knowedgeable staff member, Ben, made us aware that the cakes and the other food items available cater for different allergies and dietary needs. For instance, there is a lovely gluten-free Christmas cake slice available at the moment. All staff are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

One thing I did notice is some very nice belts in the store that I got in Bali a year ago for about 1/10 of the price but this is London I guess! Multipazz does have a website but I don't think it does it justice- this boutique is worth seeing in the flesh.
