Five stars. I have been with Burrtec since I moved to Jurupa in 2019 and never had any problems with them ever. They have some of the best and quickest service ever. Fast forward to 2026 I know most of the drivers, and we talk occasionally every week. They value their customers and some of the drivers even love to talk to their customers and if someone was late to take out their cans, if there in range and noticed the drivers will turn around and get it no questions asked. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Customer service is completely absent from this company. They now have a new rule - no box pick up unless you schedule it with them and only two per year are allowed free of charge. This is truly a horrible company and I wish them the worst. There was no communication at all on this change and when you inquire you get a rude representative that acts like she is doing you a huge favor by picking up the trash that I already pay for. read more

I called on Friday, Dec. 27 to arrange for a large-item pickup on Jan. 3 - my normal pickup is Thursday but with the holiday it would be Friday instead - but they didn't pick it up. I talked to someone this morning, Jan. 6, and was told the driver indicated they drove past on the 3rd and there wasn't anything there, and that she could only reschedule the pickup for this week. My grandsons came over on the 2nd to put it in front of my house so I know it was definitely there. After arranging for it to be moved to my driveway today and put back on Wednesday for my normal pickup on Thursday, I called back to make sure they had the correct address on the request in case the driver had just gone to the wrong address, but that wasn't the reason. I was going to give them 1 star, but when I called back to confirm the address, the woman talked to a manager and arranged for the item to be picked up tomorrow. Really no problems here in Jurupa Valley and have used Trico/Burretec since we moved here in 1981! Have ordered bulky item pickups and items were picked up as requested. We have had a few drivers miss our little culdesac in the past but when we called, the cans were dumped the next day. They answer the phone with "Thanks for calling Burretec, we'll take care of it" or something like that, and they truly have for us! read more

I don't know how this company stays in business because it's customer service is truly bad. They have not picked up my trash twice this month so far and even after contacting them and being told to put it out again the next day it is never picked up. I needed to get rid of an old couch so I called them to schedule a bulky item pick-up and they were able to send someone out the next day. Jenny scheduled my appointment and she was friendly and helpful. They will ask you for an itemized list. I did have to call a couple of times before I was able to set up an appointment because their system was down, but once it was back up everything went smoothly. I'd recommend using them if you have large items that you need to get rid of - you're allowed two pick-ups a year. read more

I ordered two 3 yard dumpsters within a week span. I only received one on and when I called to get that second dumpster I was told that the driver said he dropped off 2. I called 10 times and they refuse to drop off the dumpster stating that the driver made 4 trips already of dropping off and picking up the dumpsters. There are no inventory numbers on the dumpsters so I am unable to prove that I didn't receive the second dumpster... Long story short is that they still owe me a dumpster or a refund and no one will assist me because it is the driver's word against mine. I have been ripped off and need to file a complaint with the better business bureau. read more

I have been using this place for more than 18 years. The service hasn't been any good but now is getting worst. Each time I come here is less organized. They think that we work here so they don't put signs to follow the proper procedures. I was in line for a long time and when I reached the window, they told that I need to go to the other line because that was a comercial one. No sign, no person giving instructions. Ive always have had a good experience here, all the employees have treated me with good customer service. The only reason for the three is that the line is always really long and takes forever. Especially when they do their free dump days. Expect to wait 4+ hours to dump your load. read more

Picked put my black trash bin on 1/18/2021 and never return it. Called a service rep said it was a accident, will reissue for another bin the following day. We didn't give a ticket to collect the black bin. Rep states will come by Tuesday or Wednesday, will have another bin, by Thursday no trash bin! No apologies. This company's quality for there Semi Trucks in the Riverside area is Ridiculous. First off, the trailers are unbelievably filthy. You can't even see some of there license plates and back lights because of all the built up debris. That alone is a safety hazard for other drivers. Secondly, because of all the built up debris, pieces of rock, dirt and who knows what else break off the trailers and shower all over the cars behind them. Now, this is not just one truck, it's multiple trucks daily. I commute to work daily and have to pass a landfill entrance every morning. And every morning I see and drive next to these filthy trailers. I drive by at least 50 or more Semi Trucks daily, and Burrtec by far have the most filthiest Trucks on the roads. read more

Well, I can see I am in good company, because everyone else wishes they could give less than 1 star too. For a full year I had bad customer service, and then find out they didn't tell me when I signed up about the senior discount. "It's in the newsletter" the rep said--like, who reads that? And why is that considered good customer service? I consider this a dishonest practice. Then to do "change of address" I call ahead of time. But they won't take it. I have to call the day before the last pickup, when I am already on the road moving to a new state, or the day after the second to last pickup, when the moving van is here, and pay with a credit card. I had a large roll-off dumpster delivered on December 28, 2021. Burrtec charged my credit card $400+ and stated that after they picked up the dumpster and weighed it, I would most likely get a refund, depending on how much tonnage I placed in the dumpster. Burrtec picked up the loaded dumpster and weighed it by January 5, 2022. I waited for my refund of $145. I finally called them in late January to ask about my refund and was told some story about only posting to their books at the end of each month. So I thought, if that is true, I would be getting my refund in early February. No credit showed up on my credit card in February, so I called again on March 1, 2022. The customer service person confirmed that I had a credit on my account, so I told him the history of this transaction. He said that he would get the funds to me and it would take 6-8 weeks to arrive in the mail. I could not believe what I was hearing. It had already been two months since they should have credited my credit card, and now they wanted to mail me a check and take two months to process it...NO WAY. I told the customer service person that their system is something out of the 17th century and demanded to have my credit card credited immediately. He said he could probably do that and then place me on hold for about 10 minutes. When he returned, he said he was sending my request to the financial department and my card should be credited with 3-4 days. But it is March 3, 2022 at the time of this writing and no money yet. WORD OF WARNING, IF YOU DO THIS KIND OF TRANSACTION WITH BURRTEC, GET THEIR COMMITMENT TO GET YOUR REFUND UP FRONT BEFORE YOU FINALIZE THE REQUEST. By the way, later on March 1, 2022, I received an a "NO ACTION REQUIRED" email from Burrtec which stated that I have a credit on my account. But no word about sending the credit to me or how to obtain my credit. I also received the same message on February 1, 2022. Today, if one makes a purchase with a credit card which results in a credit balance, they will automatically send a credit to one's credit card immediately. I definitely have the feeling that I would have never seen my money unless I would have tracked it down. Even the first time I called, the person on the other end of the line did not mention anything about when or how I could get my refund. Let me just start off my saying DANGER!!!!Where do I begin, everyday I take my son to my sisters house for school , I was parked up In her driveway. Car in park as I said good bye to my son , as my 3 yr old son started screaming cus a trash truck was backing into my car on his side caving in his door. I put my hand on the horn as my sister came out waving her hands and yelling stop !!!! The driver tried to call me down as I was shaken up obviously as well as my children he told me he was so sorry that he was just very tired as he stumbled out. But once his boss took over the report he treated me as if he was the victim not even there on scene . They refused to cover any damages done to my new car which were over 4,000 . I picked up an extra job due to being a medical student to pay for damages and my insurance covered the rest . They LIED to there insurance supposedly a parked car can drive sideways n collide with another truck , the police even laughed at his statement . They have avoided my insurance company that of course found me at zero fault . They will not respond nor rein-verse my deductible . This has caused me so much grief and the fact that there trucks cover out city of Yucaipa is chilling after this behavior .Always outside our homes where our vehicles are parked and children crossing. I LOVE Burrtec! I have been a customer for the 34 years we have lived here in Jurupa Valley (Pedley). I especially appreciate their green waste guys (as they work harder than any still hoisting trash cans) I put out several trash cans of green cuttings in addition to the required green one per week and these guys are always cheerful about it but today was top customer service by Devin as he even offered to take the cuttings I was working on after he had already collected ours. Burttec of Rialto has been over looking my trash cans every other week and my neighbors , they constantly miss it when it's due on mondays , I call them the following day to pick it up because they missed it . They say they will send someone before 6pm I wake up the next day it's still there so I call again they ask for my address again and say they send the driver to the wrong address so they will send it again . So they come after 2 days of me piling my trash for the new week which from last week was already full and they only took my green waste and blue cans and completely left my black trash can there full of trash and yes it was over filled but in bags and tied down so when the driver picks it up they won't fall out , but they left my trash there and didn't take it it's now Thursday and called back and now they want to charge me to come out again and pick up the black trash can Burrtec is doing a horrible job at my location read more

I had a situation that I dealt with not to long ago where my trash was not being picked up and over seen. It was frustrating to begin with but at the end it was taken care of. I had to call Burrtec office which lead me to deal with the Supervisor of Rialto, Mr. Quinones, who was very helpful and attentive. He had someone come back to pick up my trash within the hour and shortly after he personally called me to make sure my concerns where taken care of. He then gave me his direct line to insure me that if an issue was ever to arise in the future I had someone who could deal with this directly, which he assured me that I would never had to deal with this again. I have lived in Rialto for almost 5 yrs and like it quite well. Burtec is the exception. They seem to pick up your trash barrel when they feel like it. They will lie to your face and say your barrel was not out on time when it was. Sometimes they will say it was because a car parked to close, how is that my problem, and not pick it up although they are suppose to" tag it." that they have to roll their lazy ass out of the truck to perform the "tagging" that they would move the barrel and dump it. They don't. Last week they did not empty the recycled barrel for any of the houses on my street. I called on Monday they said they would be out to handle it. They did not, shocked right? So I called again on Tuesday spoke to the route manager Joe Quinones. He answered "what do you want do you want your trash picked up or what" or words to that effect. My reply was do not get smart with me asshole. His reply was f@@k you. I replied in kind and he hung up. I know given the how Burtec operates no surprise. The surprise came when I spoke to some department heads for the City of Rialto. They said they would contact Burtec and investigate but that there was real nothing they could. Most likely I would have to go to the city council meeting and bring my issue to them. Why? My role is to make sure my trash is at the curb the night before and pay the bill. It seems that in their rush to stuff their face with free Burtec shrimp the Rialto City Council gave the company free reign to give Rialto citizens the finger.
