I asked a patron if this was the taco place and he let me know they'd moved to 546 N Brush College Rd. I hopped back in my car and made my way to their new location. I walked in right as they opened so the restaurant was quiet but inviting. After a quick view of the menu I ordered two birria tacos and one al pastor, Mexican style. First bite of the birria taco brought a literal tear to my eye! I've been craving a taste of real Mexican food ever since I left California for my new life in Decatur. My only request is that the pineapple not be cooked with the meat in the al pastor tacos. Pineapple loses its sparkle when it's cooked (in my humble opinion). Otherwise, this was the taste of home I've been craving! I will definitely be back.

The menu was basically what you would expect in a Mexican restaurant although they had a few entrées that were new to me. My wife and I both noticed the Pollo Ranchero which contained mushrooms which we both very much enjoy. We both enjoyed it, but agreed that it was a bit overkill with the grilled onions. We would have preferred shredded chicken instead of a thin piece of chicken breast. Even so, it was very tasteful. We will not hesitate to return when we're back in the area.

I just woke up one morning and found I was suddenly able to choose stellar restaurants from long lists of matches in Yelp's search feature. So this restaurant was my recent find. It had been a long afternoon of watching a young relative's baseball team lose in the regionals, and we were hungry and cranky. This restaurant was on our way home, AND it tingled my spidey senses. The strawberry margarita was chef's kiss. (And a cool side effect was the old Grandpa sitting across from me looked a lot more attractive after I finished sipping it.) We started with chips and salsa. Yum! I had two tilapia street tacos. He had beef tongue, shrimp, and chicken tacos. He proclaimed the tongue taco to die for! I thought the tilapia tacos were fabuloso. He had Mexican rice, which was sort of ok, but my grilled cactus was 50 shades of yum! What are you doing reading this stupid review? Get in your car and go to Tacos N Beer Taqueria (especially now when all the college kids are out of town). Sincerely, An elderly Yelp savant

I tried the burrito, elote, & quesabirrias. The burrito was 9/10. Really good flavor & easily the highlight. The quesabirrias were 7/10. Not really my thing, but they had flavor & were made well. The elote was 1/10. Canned corn is perfectly acceptable, but they didn't drain it at all. What I got was essentially a runny mayonnaise soup with corn in it. $10 for two, & both went into the trash. The burrito was great. The elote was an insult. I'll try it once more, but I'm never eating inside. Too cramped & easily well above 80 degrees.
