Don't waste your time or money @BurningRiverTattoo. Paid I'm full for a full sleeve only to have less than 50% completed. Dan (Hatcher) is undependable, slow, cuts appointment times short and continuously cancels appointments. Spoke with Dan about doing a full sleeve in Sept 2023 and started this sleeve in Sept 2023. He wanted paid up front for the entire sleeve. which I did do. Appointments were scheduled one week at a time and were supposed to be for 2 hours. The appointments were always shortened to between an hour or an hour and a half, which would includes 2 to 3 breaks. On two occasions, my appointment was paused so that someone else could be taken care of, and then the appointment would still end early. There was a 50/50 chance the appointment was valid or not. I had a total of 8 canceled appointments. Then, on top of that, he paused appointments, causing an additional 2 month delay. Dan has to be the most undependable person I have ever done business with. As for the tattoo... slowest tattoo person I've ever interacted with. I had 4 appointments for something that could have taken someone else a couple hrs or just one session. This part of my sleeve still isn't finished, along with 4 other items that were started and not finished. I finally had to walk away with an unfinished sleeve that I paid in full for because of yet another canceled appointment spanning across 7 months (making 9 cancelations)... Not even 50% of the sleeve is complete after 11 appointments. After indicating that I can no longer do this anymore because of the canceled appointments, I was never offered any sort of refund for unfinished work. Now I'm left with less than half of a completed sleeve and have to go to someone else to fix/finish. Save yourself the headache and your money by going elsewhere. read more

The staff was very accommodating to my last minute request for two appointments. They had moved locations and google had not been updated. I was later than my appointment, and still they were accommodating. However, when requested to put on a mask, the tattoo artist/owner refused. read more

i gave Hatcher a deposit for a tattoo, when i showed up for the appointment he had someone else in the chair and i waited 40 minutes for him to finish. once i finally got in the chair he accepted a walk-in appointment for a piercing which took another 35 minutes. i had no more time to wait so i left. i came back the next day and Hatcher was slurring his words and could not even communicate with me. i tried for 2 weeks to get my deposit back but was unsuccessful. read more

My recommendation is to go to the mall for piercings. Not only will you save a substantial amount of money, but when I got my other 4 piercings, at the mall, the pain was minimal. It's been 3 weeks and my ears are still painful around the piercings, despite me cleaning them as recommend. The only earrings they had were the little jeweled studs that catch on everything, which they did despite me being careful. I had a feeling at that point to postpone the piercings until solid studs were in stock, but stupidly didn't listen to my gut. I lost $100 on the 2 piercings because of the ridiculous cost plus basically being conned into leaving a large tip. And now, I may have to let the piercings close to heal because it feels like there is scar tissue around the piercings. I should have let a professional pierce my ears. I also question the dude who pierced my ears because I think he might have been high. He definitely seemed a bit off and squirrelly. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Going to BRT is a decision I regret. read more

Seriously are the best! Amazing at what they do! Lique did an INCREDIBLY detailed realistic elephant for me! I have been stopped by people to take pictures of it because it is so detailed and realistic! while dan did a beautiful carnation, he even helped me find the perfect spot for it, working it in beautifully with a previous tattoo. Tried to buy a gift certificate for my husband on Tuesday. Dan couldn't get the printer to work so he said he would deliver it to me on Wednesday. I didn't hear anything from him Wednesday or Thursday. I called the shop number and reached Angelique. She was very apologetic and said she would email them to me "first thing". According to their website they open at 9. By 11:00 I still had no email. They were nice and friendly until I told them I wanted my money back and their review would not be a good one then the attitude changed. I wouldn't trust them in the least. read more

I've been there twice and each time the staff was nice and friendly, I got 2 tattoos and both healed quickly and look good.

Started off well, but tanked quickly. Multiple appointments cancelled at the last minute and promises of a gift certificate refund that were never kept. We are not only without the tattoos we were hoping to get, but also out the money my husband spent on a gift certificate for me for Christmas. Very disappointed. My husband also advanced Lique some money as a favor and she has refused to pay him back. Twice burned by Burning River. Never again. read more

This place is amazing! The artist's are very professional and still very personable at the same time. From the time I walked in for my first tattoo from Lique, I felt like I was home. Lique is an amazing tattoo artist and created a custom piece just for me, which if I may say so, is absolutely amazing. I was a very special piece to me and brought tears to my eyes when I saw it all finished. Not only is she an awesome tattoo artist but she truely cares about her work and her clients! The woman tattoo artist known as "Lique" did my tattoo.  Lines are crooked and it is not lined up at all.  Looked awful.  In process of finding a real tattoo artist to cover it up.  No wonder they had cheap prices!  LOL.  You have been warned!!  And don't fall for their lifetime tattoos for $1,000 scam.  A person I spoke with paid upfront for numerous sessions and they failed to live up to their obligations.  Apparently he is in process of suing them.  Again, you have been warned!! read more

Very unreliable. Requested a refund for the gift certificate we had purchase due to appointments being cancelled repeatedly on their behalf.. Was told a refund would be issued and never received it. Do not do in advance purchases or get certificate from these guys. They will burn you ! read more

Cant say enough about burning river!! Both myself and my wife were both impressed by Dan's work. My wife was a little nervous about getting her first tattoo but dan explained everything and made sure she was ok throughout the whole process...needless to say she walked out with 2 instead of 1!! And mine blew my expectations out of the water!! These other reviews that was left must have been a fluke cause we received excellent service and scheduling was easy also.
