The 30 minute sessions go by so fast because there is such great variety, which is what I need because I get bored with the same old routine day after day. The app they use to sign up for sessions is great. I like being able to sign up ahead of time so easily. You can have the app add it to your calendar right away too. There's another app to be able to weigh in and create goals. Facebook groups for encouragement and to cry on each other's shoulders if you need it. So many great and convenient tools. The instructors and several of the other boot campers are so friendly and encouraging. The instructors do a great job of offering modifications to the day's exercises to suit your ability, which mine is certainly lacking. . .for now. I can't believe I was actually looking forward to hitting today's session and am still looking forward to my next one. Can't wait to see my progress six weeks in. I'll update this review then.

They offer you a six-week free program and get you excited to change your life by helping you drop 20 pounds or 5% body fat, and then ask you for a $400 deposit they'll return once you finish the program. So it's free, yes, but they want you to 'have some skin in the game.' They really just found a way to make their previous 18% six-week completion rates your problem. Of course you have 87% completion rates when you've passed the accountability buck off to the customer, so they have to choose between throwing away $400 or losing weight.

You have to be a full time soccer mom to fit in here and I feel like it gives off the vibe of every other gym. I upped my stars because I enjoyed two out of the four people I met but everyone always seemed too busy to help with anything. Not the gym for me...

If you want to lose fat, and actually be 'fit', this is the place. Sessions are in a large room with one instructor. Exercises are mostly body-weight, rubber bands and dumb-bells. The instructor demonstrates the exercises and makes sure you're doing them correctly. The pace is intentionally fast. Exercises often have three variations, so the same workout can challenge people with different abilities. The instructors are great. Exercises are never the same, which avoids monotony.

I was visiting Watertown this weekend and wanted some classes to use since it is too cold to work out outside. Chelsea's HIIT and Kickboxing classes were so fun and challenging that the hour flew by. And I was sore the next day so I knew it was an awesome workout! Melanie's early morning Bootcamp was awesome and felt like a workout party- I know I'm going to be sore from that tomorrow. Burn is located on the sid eof the building adjoining Anytime Fitness, you ca't really see the sign from the road but just enter in the Verona Athletic Center parking lot and you'll see signs pointing you to Burn. Today was cardio day so we did HIIT workouts. It's about 15 min warm-up/cool down and 30 min of the actual workout. I saw all levels of fitness and body type of all sizes there so don't feel intimidated. Plus everyone was super nice and everyone was high-fiving everybody. Maybe it's not your thing, but at least for this time, we had to partner up in groups of three. So if you're not into that, just bring a friend or be prepared.
