"Cool Story":
I cut my hair at this barber shop 6/7 times and always booked a haircut and wash, and was always happy until the last time. I have booked an appointment for my birthday with a Senior Barber named Marshall (according to the barbershop's website). I asked for the "skin to fade" haircut.
The attached picture shows how the mentioned Senior Barber here implemented a "skin to fade". I was not shown the result of his "work" at the back of my head after it's finished, and I noticed how it looked only when I returned home. Also, before washing my hair he made me very uncomfortable by sprinkling some water on my face (a couple times) when I was expecting the hot towel (which is being offered here as a part of wash service). However, after the next day's conversation with him, I understood that his intention was to simply make fun of me. After that he greeted me "Happy Birthday" (this info was in my account in their system). I felt like I am being mocked after all this, but I have chosen to ignore it, until I have seen the result of this haircut later that day.
I came back the next day with a simple request to fix my haircut by someone else and I needed to do it quickly because I had an appointment. The manager named Kenny (as I have been told) agreed that the haircut was completely messed up. However, he said that I have to wait at least for 2 hours. I asked Marshall why he did this to me and he said that he did it intentionally and exactly what I asked him to do (ridiculous). Frankly, I can't even imagine how one would explain what you can see in the picture except for using the negative connotation phrases like "...please do a bad haircut..." or "...please mess it up.." or "please, make it look ugly..." When I said that I will have to go to another barbershop to fix it, in order to be in time for my appointment at 11am, the manager made me understand that I better do it in another barbershop. I had no other choice as to follow the suggestion given. The mentioned barber still works there.
To be fair, I have to say that after all this I have written a message to the owner and I was fully refunded. However, that does not make this overall horrible experience any better - that's definitely not what people go to the barbershops for. read more
