You know, Burlington Coat Factory and it's contemporaries aren't the kind of store I particularly like to enter. Ok, maybe, once in a while you can find a deal or two... mainly clothing... but I hate going to a place where I know what I want and have to search for it! Then, of course, once you find something you like, they don't have it in your size or it's a different color. Then there's the housewares department. OMG, is this where they get the prizes carnies give out at the state fair? It's tacky, the "art" comes in a shiny, gold-colored, plastic frame. I suppose it's good enough for a student needing something for the dorm room but, I hope, even they have more discerning tastes than that! Yes, they carry knick-knack type things with a wonderful middle eastern flair. I'm experimenting with glass painting right now, so I did find a few things that were perfect for ruining. The electronics?? I often wondered how a pair of $8 wireless ear buds would be, so I bought some. I will say they're JVC (probably a knock off) and as seldom as I use them they've been a value. You can, of course, get better elsewhere but if you're constantly blowing out the "speakers", they could be worthwhile. Oddly, they have a "beauty" section where they carry the discontinued Wahl clippers and trimmers... I bought one there 2 years ago and it's still running great. But I don't understand why they think that Paris Hilton perfume will sell here, even though it did poorly at more upscale stores. Going back to the clothing (excluding women's because I don't know), the men's items seem to be targeting a younger type of clientele. I did find a pair of Levi's jeans but they were that awful stretch denim stuff (I bought them anyway) and the only really good deal was a black Calvin Klein jean jacket.
