I would caution others in working at Burlington RET Physical Therapy. I was severely injured by a PT Assistant whom I had already requested not to see, because I could tell she was not understanding what I needed as a 70- year -old woman with a complicated proximal humerus fracture. One of her first statements was ' We don't play around here' and mentioned surgery which is fully outside her standard of care. I took my name off all further appointments with her, and then her supervisor, Natalie, who I was supposed to see came out one day and took someone else back and I got put in with this gal, Sarah, who I well knew was not a good idea to work with. I was treated very forcefully, and overworked completely. She then made me do some exercises I should never have been doing which further injured me. My whole arm and shoulder immediately got swollen and very painful, and it had been doing relatively fine before. I went to my orthopedic surgeon and he ordered an MRI and said, yes it had been severely injured, and that I am now behind one year in healing. This has totally impeded any further progress being made at this time and changed my whole life. In my opinion, this practitioner should not be treating people, as it is very unsafe and reckless treatment behavior. read more
