I had left a review 5 years ago on Yelp because I was really impressed with this business. Allure Nail bar always has been and still is a very clean and hygienic place that are safety conscious. Highly recommend this salon. I have been in the health profession for many years and am very particular about sterilization techniques..I am confident to go here. I have to add an update. I broke a nail and contacted Allure. They got back to me very quickly and fit me in. Ashley did a fabulous job repairing my nail! She was very gentle and careful and precise in her work. She is a very personable technician and it was joy to have her help me.. I would gladly have these wonderful people work on my hands again.

They did an amazing job, but after pushing back my cuticles and filing them, my cuticles were still there so I asked them to cut them off. This extra step counted as a manicure so it was an extra $12 charge? Which, okay fine.. but it just added to the cost of everything. For a gel refill (+2 nail fixes since they popped off from my first appt), plus design, plus covid PPE costs, & tip, it came up to almost $150! I don't understand how people can keep getting their nails done with these prices. I was okay paying for it since I needed PERFECT nails for my wedding - and I am BEYOND happy with the outcome, but the price is keeping me from going back unless for a special occasion. (The first time I went for a full set of gel nails & 1 colour with sparkle on top came up to $90 with tip).. so almost double the price if I went to a basic nail salon. You do get what you pay for, but again, not sure how people can keep up with these prices. I would still definitely recommend going to Allure Nail Bar. All the staff are friendly, clean up after each client, and know how to execute your nail look 100%.

My wife went in to have her eyebrows waxed and the technician pressed so hard onto both her eyes, she is badly scarred and has been in significant pain since then. While she was being waxed, she had to tell the lady to stop, that she felt that her bone would have broken. It has gotten so bad that we are now heading to the hospital. When she spoke with them and told the owner, he said sorry and was very nonchalant about it. No conversation about when it happened or who did the waxing, nothing. It was simply they didn't care about the fact that she was injured, and wanted to steer clear of it.

I had to wait for an email confirmation before my pedicure time slot was approved. The one thing I couldn't do online was book multiple appointments for the same time. I was originally hoping to come with a friend. The lot that is next to the building is actually for the orthodontist so you'll have to park along the street in front of the salon. I didn't realize this at first so I had to move my car. I also don't carry change with me but the receptionist was kind of enough to give me a few quarters to feed the meter. I was the first appointment in the morning at 10am and they had everything set up and ready for me. They did have a lot of colours to choose from and it was impressive that they knew the names of the colours too! The massage chair was really nice. I've never been to a place with one where even the seat where your butt goes inflates and stuff. My technician was awesome. What I really LOVED about this salon is they use a gel polish that is free from all the harmful chemicals!! YAY!! In addition to this, they DON'T use UV lights, rather, they use the more expensive lights to cure the gel polish that is actually used in high-end dermatologist offices to heal skin.
