The parking was the only thing about my visit that went well. Tonight was my first time in the United States where there was armed security with a stanchion that you have to be allowed through to shop. I popped in to hopefully find a grill brush. In the kitchen section, I found a grill spatula. Some of the shelves are stocked. Some packages have been opened or are damaged. There were no associates around to ask. In another section 8 asiles away I randomly found grill tongs. There so much random stuff on the way to the cashiers... There were 8 - 10 associates in the front of the store milling around with no customers. One told me there was a recall and they didn't have any. read more

I haven't been here in ages but was just curious what it was like so decided to just peek my head in. Even though it's been revamped from back in the day the store is quite bland, the selection of clothing is not great, and this particular location had very few coats. You can definitely tell they deal with a lot of theft as there is signage everywhere warning people against it and a lost prevention guy guarding the entrance at all times. The fitting room is also quite dirty. You're better off sticking to competitors like Marshalls and whatnot. read more

Even as a new building, the store is completely dirty, monitored, and only on entry. They have a loss prevention guy standing to let people in and out. Has this place really gone downhill? It's not the same Burlington it used to be at Antioch Mall. For a coat factory, there was barely any coats, selection of clothing is limited and Almost everything has a security tag on it. Some of the clothes were dirty like blood stain or whatever stains. Pretty gross out, the fitting room in the back is close and you have to use the fitting room in the front and only allowed to try 6 garments at a time. Everything is out of place, clothes everywhere even on the floor, lines to checked out is long too. Sale items weren't even cheap or a bargain. You're better off at Marshall, Ross, or TJ Maxx. read more

I have lived within walking distance of this store for over 10 years and have always had less than thrilling encounters. Each time I visit, I end up telling myself that this will be the last visit. Then a couple of years later, I tell myself that it can't be that bad, so I return and start the vicious cycle anew. As I was leaving for work yesterday my belt broke, so I made a quick stop here to replace, instead of driving a bit out of the way to Target. Quick should never be mentioned in the same sentence with Burlington. I was in line to check out for 30 mins. Two clerks handling layaways, returns, people without enough money... an absolute nightmare with no assistance from management. Selection - pathetic. They literally had 8 mens belts hanging from a hook. fortunately one of them was a dress belt that fit. Organization and display - even worse. The rows of mens socks and underwear that I paused at was a clust****ck of randomly thrown packages. I've seen some pretty bad Dollar Generals in my day, and this was just as bad. So Burlington - NEVER AGAIN - and this time it's in writing. read more

Don't waste your time here unless you have half an hour to spend in the checkout line. There's always a minimum of 12 people in line and if you're lucky there's 2 registers open. Not sure how they even stay in business. read more

None of the store employees that I encountered were friendly. The store had some good deals but I didn't like the actual store as much as I used to. It is now down to one level and everything is just laid out or lined up like a second hand store. No real displays at all. It's ok but I used to love this place. read more

It's 3am. Your clothes are splattered with someone's blood and is that... grey matter? It IS. Yikes. Everything you thought you knew yesterday is nothing compared to what your world has become. You need to get on the first flight back to the Dominican but your current threads would arouse the suspicion of the most inept airport security screener. What to do? I'll tell you what to do. First, get some sleep. You're no good to anyone in your current state. After you wake up, head to McDonalds and get a McMuffin and an OJ... a small, not a large (you don't need that much sugar this early in the morning). Next, head to Antioch Mall off of Antioch Road in beautiful Gladstone. Go to Burlington Coat Factory... There are two entrances, it doesn't really matter which one you choose. If you go in the Westside entrance, you can stop at the candy kiosk and get some gummy Cokes. Those things are delicious. But I digress. Go into Burlington. Avoid the approach of the salespeople. There are a million of them here, outnumbering the customers by an impractical ratio. You don't need their help. To the left is the business attire. Reasonably priced suit-separates, swanky ties, slacks that say, 'hey, I know a bargain when I see one.' Just be careful when you buy your ties. Some are from the Steve Harvey collection. Ties from the Steve Harvey collection should only be purchased if you are, in fact, the comedic namesake or a preacher at an inner-city revival church. Although some of the business attire is flashy--chocolate-pinstriped suede jackets--you can buy stuff that WON'T make you look like a pimp too. Stick to the non-pimp clothes. The less looks you get the better. If you're looking for something a little more comfortable, head due east. There, you'll find 4XXL t-shirts embroidered with the faces of Fat Albert and friends, Woody Woodpecker or the Portland Trailblazers logo. Giant pants are there as well, to complete the ensemble. Burlington Coat Factory also sells brightly colored shoes, area rugs of varied wild animal patterns and cologne. You probably don't need any of that stuff (unless the blood got on your faux zebra-skin rug and pillow set) and I think they sell coats as well. Side note- if you're in an Aryan hate group, you probably wouldn't like it here. Just a heads up. I'm not racist, by any means, but I'm not blind, either. Too little selection of everything and every day the clothes quality available gets worse. It wasn't like that a year ago though. Coats are overpriced for the quality and the time it seats there to get sold. I have seen clothes with signs of wear. Go wonder. read more

Went to this Burlington in May, and there were not coats. Barley a single rack. I was tying to find a raincoat but I guess they really meant it when they took the "Coat Factory" out of "Burlington". read more

I've never bought anything from here, but the place is falling apart, I feel like I'm in a cheaply made crappy 80's sitcom when I'm walking around in here. All of the clothes seem like they're outdated styles, and there's always obese women standing in the middle of the isles yelling at there feral children in a different language. read more

Staff members are disrespectful and when I asked them a question they immediately responded with attitude and acted like they didn't want to help me or my friends family at all. They would sit there or some girls would eat while trying to help customers. Overall it seems like they didn't care about their jobs and it's a very unprofessional environment read more

Store was dirty and the selection was not good. Everything has anti-theft tags, and I do mean everything. I was afraid to get a drink out of the water fountain which had spit all over the basin. They are doing construction outside but that can't explain how awful it is inside here. I won't be back. read more

Brand new building makes the whole store look amazing. Super low prices on name brand stuff. Always something new when you come in.

We went to shop for coats. We walked thru the door and there was this musty old building smell it reminded me of an old dirt cellar. We bought a coat and we had to wash it to get the smell out of it. My daughter bought 2 purses and they have that same smell. I dont know if we will get the smell out of them due to them being leather. read more

I had come in on no tax weekend to get my children's cloths out of layaway for school I then returned my layaway to get my tax free witch was over $35. I was then told it would be placed back on my card within 24 hours. This was not don't so I then gave it a week and called the store. I spoke with the manager who had told me she was having a lot of people with the same issue and she would be calling corp. A few days later she called and said it would be placed back on my card within 15 days I am now on day 19 with no return of my $194. I am not happy right now with this company and all I want is my money back!!! Called corp and all they have told me is they will look into this matter.
