Checked out this big yet empty older mall in Joliet. It has a pretty good location close to the…read moreinterstate and still gets quite a bit of business but not as much as in the past. Louis Joliet Mall is the biggest place to shop in this big suburb. Has a lot of places to go inside even with many being closed. The quality of the stuff isn't is good as it once was and there's not much good other than seeing a movie. Better malls are certainly around but this one has a lot of interesting history about it. It's been around here since 1978 with it being one of two malls that had opened recently. The other was Jefferson Square Mall, which opened a few years earlier and closed in 2002 and was demolished pretty soon after that. Has gone through a few anchors. There's a Cinemark movie theater, JCPenney's, and Macy's. Basically the theater opened in 2009, and has since brought in the most business. There also used to be a Bergner's and Sears. A Sears subsidiary actually financed the mall's construction. There's been many instances of vacancies. The Carson's closed in 2018, but reopened later. Panera Bread, T.G.I. Friday's, and Tilted Kilt have closed. The Sears closed in 2019 and has not been replaced. Got to say it's been around for awhiles. It's not like it once was but it's still hanging on. There's still lots open but there's also tons of vacancies.

I took pictures to show the worker. her reaction was "you people must have moved the toys or displays around to get the price you wanted and rolled her eyes " I informed her then the whole aisle is that way because all the tags completely inaccurate. she. allied for her CSM and the CSM was beyond ignorant. annoyed to come over away from her private conversations, she told me the price is what it is before even hearing what happened. she then asked a young man to go look into it. mad we had asked her to look into it. I showed him and she sat with my mom at the register ( the CSM talking about me in front of my kids calling me cheap and how " white folks hate to pay the price it's marked ) the young man noted the aisle was not properly displayed to the CSM and it was stocked as such and it does ring one price but as far as how the toys are displayed on the aisle we were correct it is marked incorrect. he agreed with us. the CSM got very mad and her friend ( not a Walmart employee or in a Walmart uniform or security one) walks up decides to tell me and my 6 year old " either pay the price or don't shop at the store , cheap ass don't. are me show you the door" I told her excuse me ? who are you as she had no uniform or Walmart gear on just a black hoodie and jeans " she implied did I f-ing studder ? there's the door bye !! pointing to the door and pushes my cart into me hitting my child in side of head" I left my order and did file not only a complaint with Walmart corporate but a police report against the worker as she had no right to hit him with the cart.

A tire that's supposed to be completely covered turned into a $140 replacement. The mechanics there will rob you and over charge you so check your receipts. My warranty got voided because I didn't get tire rotations done through Walmart.... Hahaha I'm not forced to get them done at Walmart and that's why you won't cover my tire. The people back there are scam artists and will fuck you over to put more in there pocket DONT GO THERE!

After we paid, an employee pulled us to the side saying he didn't see my boyfriend scan Zebra Cakes. We had to go to the back with our kids, which was embarrassing. The total was only $12.69, and we explained it was an honest mistake from moving fast with kids. Taking our IDs and pictures over that amount was excessive. For loyal customers, this was handled very poorly.
