Shoe and bag prices have doubled in the past few months, the only pair of sneakers in good condition I saw recently was 20 dollars!! They now split up curtain sets, dishware, and home decor pieces so you have to buy all of them separately. The men's section is 60% more expensive than the women's. This is shameful and greedy. I no longer donate here because i have seen some of the items i dropped off priced for more than i bought them for. I'm not sure if it's new management or if this business forgot that they were a thrift store in a low income community, but this is very disappointing.

The neighborhood was nicknamed "The Devil's Back Porch" back in the 1920s. I hope that was not a reference to his butt. 2. This was one of the busiest streetcar stops in all of Dallas in the 1930s, which is the reason the shops are close together. 3. The restaurant Paradiso is L shaped because it was built around century-old trees. 4. Bonnie (of Bonnie and Clyde) worked as a waitress in this area before her crime spree began. Rumor has it she needed money to afford the $8 slices of pie at Emporium Pies. Only three things sucked: 1) Parking is difficult on weekends. 2) Cops are everywhere, so don't jaywalk. 3) The people with clipboards asking you to donate to blue whale abortions or whatever are aggressive.
