When you drop in, it feels awkwardly like walking into someone's private home. People use it for events- and that makes sense. It's an events space rather than a historic one. The people are friendly. It's historic, but not impressive. You are welcomed with a small bottle of their local wine (Banshee Pinot Noir) and a personal note to kick off your stay. We appreciate the little details that make our stay enjoyable and special. If you score a ground floor room, the bathroom has heated floors. The water pressure, to note, is excellent. We also really enjoy the wood-burning fireplace for the ambiance and for the cold winter nights. A m e n i t i e s: There is a spa, gym, heated pool, restaurant (Layla), EV-charging, etc. Grounds are well kept. You can find a fire pit and water filling stations throughout the property. FYI - for the dog owners, there is no dog relief area on property. We went around the holidays and had a wonderful time with the festive events and activities offered. We thoroughly enjoyed the s'mores + hot toddy night and the hand-painted ornament workshop. We may need to return again during the holidays. And if you manage to get out to explore, downtown Sonoma is just about a 15-min walk away.

This is hands down one of my all time favorite hotel stays. Stayed here in August 2024. The Seven Branches Venue and Inn is such an incredible place. The inn has 6 rooms total so it made the stay very relaxing and intimate. We checked in on a Thursday and thankfully our room was available and got checked in early. We got suite 6 and this room exceed my expectations. The interior design was so cute and nice. The bed was comfortable and the balcony was my favorite place to lounge in. The baked goods delivered to your room was the cherry on top for me. The beautiful grounds of this venue is also gorgeous so it made the stay in Sonoma extra special for us. It also allowed for us to get some rest away from the heat with our little one. The staff is super accommodating. Before we were checked in, I asked if they had a lactation room (nope) or just somewhere I could plug into to pump, and they opened an unoccupied room so I could pump comfortably. That is enough for me to want to come back again. With both Marriott Elite and having booked this via Chase travel, we had several benefits including afternoon cocktails ($20 per person), $60 breakfast credit, and $100 hotel credit. Next time I'll be booking two nights so I can get my $250 credit!

They do wine tastings a few afternoons between 430 and 530 but the pours were minuscule. The room itself was spacious (I think we got upgraded since it was midweek). There was an outdoor sitting area including a big bath tub. There's a nice spa on grounds. You can't easily walk to square but they have a free shuttle in a nice VW van. Coming back we waited less than 10 mins. If you're coming to Sonoma, you should defn consider staying here.

I think this stop is a must if going to wineries along route 12.
