There were volunteers at every barn who were kind, knowledgeable, and happy to share information about the animals while giving us veggies to feed them. It was clear the animals are truly loved and very well cared for. They also had thoughtful extras like complimentary flavored oat milk, fresh popcorn, a vegan food truck, a kids' play area with games, and a nice picnic space to relax. Everything felt welcoming and well planned. Our group had such a great time, and we're already looking forward to coming back for the Halloween event. Highly recommend for families, animal lovers, and anyone looking for a fun and meaningful day out!

Children are introduced to sounds and words of the French language through song, nursery rhymes, stories and general everyday interactions. As children are exceptional language learners by nature, this total immersion environment enables them to quickly become familiar with French and begin to know how to use it for themselves. Our days here at preschool are rooted in the idea that a child learns through play and exploration! We lead children each day through a fun variety of arts and crafts, story time, classical dance (ballet), cooking, science actives, music, outdoor and free play time. These experiences are guided completely in French to familiarize children with numbers, letters, colors, shapes, and other early vocabulary. We recognize that each child has unique talents, learning style and personality. LPJ is committed to ensure optimal social, emotional and linguistic growth. Classes are kept to a low student-teacher ratio for happy, healthy learning! Popular childhood songs and nursery rhymes from France will soon become some of your child’s favorites!

They teach at risk youth skills and discipline, but really its only a solution for parents that want to get rid of their kids because they cant handle them. Its great the diocese makes this attempt at helping society, but sending youth off to be in the company of other budding felons just makes them felons. Fights were very common as were sexual assaults from other boys. I didnt witness such improprieties from staff members who were largely very professional. In conclusion my criticism is less with Hanna and more with society in needing such places to begin with. Hanna wont transform your boy and just might make him worse. It could go either way.

We just got married here on Saturday and it was perfect!! I searched all over the internet to find…read morea beautiful and affordable wedding venue near my house in Sonoma and thanks to the wonderful reviews on this Yelp page, my search came to an end! I also wanted a venue where I could hire the caterer of our choice and bring our own alcohol - and we were able to both. Surprisingly, this is very difficult to do in Sonoma - most venues have a list of preferred caterers and you pay them for a limited list of wines/beers. From the beginning, I communicated with Denise and she was very helpful in answering all my questions. Her office hours allowed me to come in on a few Sundays, which was great. I was able to get a good look at all the facilities to plan my rentals accordingly. We were allowed to have a short period of time the day before to perform our rehearsal, and we had enough time to decorate everything before the wedding and tear down after. One of the rental rooms was made available to me as the bridal prep/storage suite on the day of - this was a great spot to hide before the first look, to have my bridesmaids bustle my dress for the reception and to run back to to powder my nose and change my shoes. FAHA is home to a number of folks, so I think we may have had a few onlookers during the ceremony, which was fine by me (I was asked beforehand). The site manager Anna was there on the night of the wedding to check us out and the hired security guard was very friendly. I came back the next morning for a few items and donated my flowers so that Denise could share them with the FAHA residents. I couldn't imagine throwing them out - better to share! The gazebo is so pretty as it is (and they power-washed it the day before our wedding), we only chose to add some tulle to frame the wedding party. There are string lights that hang over their lawn year round, so we just attached some paper lanterns to them for decoration (inspired by Chelsea R.'s photos!). Heritage Hall was a perfect space for all our guests and still enough room for a dance floor (we had a long head table and used 8 round tables). The DJ had enough space on the stage and the side foyer area was perfect for a photo booth my uncle set up. My uncle took some lovely pictures I'm posting here, but I can't wait for my professional pictures to come in from our hired photographer. The weather was great, the staff was helpful before and on the day of the wedding and all of our guests had a great time. Both my husband and I are so happy with how everything turned out. He grew up in Sonoma and didn't know about FAHA until this year. And it's only 1 mile away from where we live! We aren't Finnish, but are so grateful we were able to have our wedding at FAHA!

His family is from Finland and he has always taken great pride in his heritage. He brought me there 4 years ago and we watched the clouds together from the lush lawn. As our relationship grew, so did my relationship with FAHA and the Finnish culture. The Finnish community at FAHA accepted me with loving arms. I knew when my husband proposed exactly where we should tie the knot! The beautiful trees at FAHA cast beautiful shadows on the rolling lawn and there is plenty of shade to beat the heat. The grounds looks beautiful all year long. Our photographer was able to capture our most magical moments with lovely brush backgrounds. Everyone of our guests was blown away by the beauty of our event. Here are some things I would like you YELPERS to know 1. Holding an event at FAHA outdoors does not require a huge decorating budget because it is so beautiful on it's own. 2. You do not need to be Finnish to celebrate your event at FAHA (although you might wish you were by the time you leave :-) 3. FAHA has 6, very affordable rooms you can rent for your guests. They are modest, but you can't beat the opportunity to walk right out onto FAHAs beautiful grounds and there are plenty of amenities to take advantage of. Nowhere in Sonoma can beat the price either. 4. Staying the weekend at FAHA is an affordable way to stay in Sonoma (no event or occasion required) and it is located conveniently from so many exciting places to visit. 5. The staff at FAHA are extremely personable and helpful. To me, FAHA is a little piece of heaven. I highly recommend it for your next party, celebration, or quiet weekend away. I send these accolades with my whole heart.
