I was told that he was a gemologist. No he's not! He thought a 99 carat topaz was 40 carats. Quite a difference. I was also told that well the stone is Smokey Topaz or Smokey Quartz. Same difference he said. Another big clue right there. They are two different minerals. Any gemologist will know this. Very disappointed! Glad I knew what I had before I went in there. read more
