I was greeted like a family member as soon as I walked in the door. I want to give a special thank you to John Clingman for his excellent customer service. Not only did he help me with the two things I needed walking in, but he also very patiently helped me find a gift for my wife's birthday. He then proceeded to advise me on acquiring a very special Rolex anniversary diver watch that I have been long waiting for, but was not 100% sold on. I'm so glad I bought it - because he was right! I absolutely love the watch, and it hasn't left my wrist since leaving the store! I hope the valet parking across the street returns soon, as Haltom's is truly something anyone looking for fine jewelry and timepieces must experience.

I made my way to the back of the store before anyone acknowledged my presence. A woman finally asked if I was looking for watches. I replied that I was, and she pointed out the 4 to 5 remaining men's watches. One of the watches really caught my eye, so I pulled out my phone to look up its specifications. At that moment, she snapped at me, saying, "NO PICTURES!" Her tone was loud and caught me off guard, making me feel embarrassed. I quickly put my phone away, but she continued to lecture me about the reasons for the policy. She said something along the lines of, "If you were allowed to take pictures, we would just post these online." At that point, I was both annoyed and embarrassed, so I decided to put away my credit card and leave. It's no surprise that this place is going out of business.

I stopped by with my girlfriend to look at rings, and when we walked in, she did not feel comfortable and didn't want to stay. After I had exchanged a few words with the salesman, I too did not feel comfortable nor wish to continue the interaction. Another customer walked in, and after a brief moment, the salesman excused himself to go address the new customer. My girlfriend and I took that opportunity to gracefully exit and try to do so discreetly. This is when I realized we were locked in the store. The salesman had a key-fob that unlocked the door when a customer rang the doorbell, and in order to leave, he had to be the one to let you out. Unfortunately, I had to get the salesman's attention in order to leave. He asked if we were done talking with him, and after my "yes", he said, "well, before I let you out, do you want to come over here and get a business card?" Immediately, I felt trapped inside this store, wanting to leave gracefully and discreetly, but I couldn't. Let me be clear. I do not appreciate being locked in a store and not being able to protect my woman (even by simply leaving the building) when she feels uncomfortable or threatened. I have absolutely no intention of returning. I will add, before we went to this place, we went to Duffy's Jewelry, and had an absolute 10/10 great experience. They were very pleasant, professional, and extremely kind and knowledgeable. I am someone who is well above the average when it comes to the knowledge of Rolex, the history of Rolex and the movements of Rolex when I walked in, I was greeted by some heavyset man with thick glasses, and he came on very strong and somewhat passive aggressive. He told me there was no possible way that I could ever be allocated to watch since I do not live locally I know this to not be true because of my history with Rolex in different cities due to being a pilot, he began to show me some other watches, and he seemed very pushy about me purchasing a Breitling, and I was just turned off by his overall energy and demeanor. It wasn't that he was outright rude, but he just came off very strong and pushy. Definitely not somebody that I want to do business with which is why I didn't even buy a watch while I was there. I ended up speaking to the manager and telling her about my experience before I knew she was actually the manager, and she was extremely nice and accommodating and wanted to make it right. But to be told just because I live out of town, there's no way that I could be placed on a list of potentially be allocated to watch, even though I have a buying history was the first time in my life that I've ever heard that and I've been into a dozen Rolex stores throughout my lifetime.
