As a person who does his research I took several bids and educated myself as much as possible prior to picking a company for this job. I've noticed doing my homework beforehand has always paid off especially when it comes to doing construction or renovation work. First, there are a options when it comes to roofing. They range from necessity of removal of the existing roof to the type of roofing material used for replacement. Hunter at Bay to Bay came out and made a thorough explanation of every detail necessary. His explanations were directly in line with what I had researched so I appreciate that level of consistency and honesty. The fact that their quote was nearly 25% lower than another competing bid was definitely icing on the cake. Their quote also showed a great deal more detail regarding exactly what was being done as well as materials used where as other quotes seemed almost random and elusive. A group of hard working gentlemen came out and did a beautiful job installing the roof. The roofing also came with a great warranty that will stay with the house for decades to come. Additionally, Hunter came out to inspect the job and meet with me regarding any questions or concerns. That was a really nice professional touch on top of a job well done. I highly recommend these guys as well as a high-five to Hunter for seeing to it that everybody did a great job.

A few of their inside sales people said they have their own contractors that specialize in different types of many renovations . But then one of them a few days later mistakenly told me the truth. They use subcontractors! Oops - big lie. As a reference point - I have a 38 year corporate career in the forestry industry - - with the last 20 as VP of Sales. I know how legitimate business is conducted. I was practically begging these fools to come out and estimate a bathroom and window replacement job. Of course, this is before I read the multitude of horrible reviews. I confirmed on 4 separate occasions that I am responsible for making the final decision on these jobs and I would be paying the bill. Furthermore, I would oversee the renovation of our Lake Michigan house, as well as my daughter's and son's home. They were insistent my wife also be available - otherwise they wouldn't visit and cited their stellar BBB rating needed to be upheld and their salesman MUST have my wife available. I finally declined. To date my wife and I have spent $145,000 on several projects with credible contractors and couldn't be happier. Stay away from Scott and his band of bandits.
