The hockey game was great but the food was terrible. Not really much to say. Nacho chips were stale. Hotdog was not fully cooked. The pizza was trash. The sweet tea was not sweet at all. But again, I enjoyed my very first hockey game with the Roanoke Railyard Dawgs.

I don't know how they do it y'all, but this place can seat like thousands upon thousands of people and not make you feel like your gonna lose your mind by sheer overload with this volume of people in one place at one time. It was more laid back then I imagined, and had plenty of helpers and vendors for snacks....so don't be afraid to come hungry! Seats aren't the most comfortable, but they'll do just fine for a few hours. I took my niece to a woman's conference here, and it was pretty insane...but good...not sure "good" and "insane" go hand in hand...but evidently at this place it does :). For anyone with vertigo issues though, beware of the slope the higher up you go for seating...it can get a little "woah...I hope I don't fall on this stranger while I am trying to get to my seat" sort of feeling at times. Other then that, this place is great. Well the parking...no comment. Ok, you dragged it out of me! You get trapped in it unless strategically parked. We decided to park across the street on a side road and that made escaping this crazy mass of women just a little bit easier, which was perfect!!!! I truly am not as anti social as I appear to be sounding right about now...but if you saw how many loud, laughing, crazy women were in this place, all at one time, you would totally know why I wanted a quick escape route when and if needed!

Morons trying to figure out how to do their job several hours after it was supposed to be completed!

They were very helpful to us when we visited the home show with my disabled mother. Very kind staff, eager to help!

If you wanna sell some things, Salem already. Why not…read more No witches were ever burned here, in fact not much goes on here. When I went to University in Virginia I did come out here once and thought, ooh, this is a big high school stadium. Which is really all it is, with 7,000 seats and not much happening here beyond High School football. First-Hand Experience: Info on my personal visit to this stadium - I don't tend to visit high school stadiums, but I had a friend that went to school here years ago, so I came to see her team play with her. Then very recently I came back just for the sake of memories. It hasn't changed a bit. It's a nice stadium, nothing too amazing. Pretty small. That's what she said. I've been to every cool stadium in the UK & North America, due to my obsession with travel & sport. I've toured America as a musician for 7 or 8 years. In that time, I've seen sports games at, or visited when empty (and usually both), at almost every major stadium in US and Canada. I have pictures of most which I will upload at some point. Also, on future travels, I plan to take new pix, and add more stadia! Watch this space! ***back to regular review*** It has turf and opened in 1985. The Virginia Swarm did play here but I've been swarm to secrecy about that and I've swarm not to even mention it. The Stagg Bowl is hosted here every year, so that's the claim to fame of the stadium. That's the championship game for NCAA Div III schools.

The parking was not to bad.. we parked in Duck Pond Parking and it was free and just a 10 min walk to the Coliseum, which isnt to bad as long as it isnt to cold and windy. The Coliseum seems to be a fairly old building. The seats are somewhat narrow but not as bad as some places. The concession areas are what make me think the building is old. The concession areas are very small with angled ceilings that make it look like you are in an attic area. But there are a lot of the small concessions so the lines werent bad at all. The place was close to sold out the night we were there and this is a loud place! A definite home court advantage for the Hokies. The student section and band does a great job keeping it loud and being engaged in the game. Unfortunately UNC lost but due to where we live, it is easier to see UNC here than go to Chapel Hill. Hope to go again. It is a fun place to see a game.

Time Will tell if new coach Buzz Williams can turn the hardwood Hokies into a Winner and fill the Cassell. The Coliseum has steep single level seating and the sight lines are great. All of the seats are wooden and quiet narrow and are somewhat uncomfortable for a larger person. Concessions are comparable with other venues, $4 hotdogs and drinks. One thing you have to try is the homemade milkshake by the Dairy Club. They are the best. The Cassell is a very good place to watch ACC Basketball.

Fun Times! Great atmosphere and great 50 yard line seats made for a great evening despite the brief light rain. Lots of concessions available. You can even order ahead on their app and pickup. They always had fireworks and fire effects throughout all of these years but now they added synchronized lights, brand new padded seats on the entire home side with an entire club level and multiple luxury suites, And a general admission turf berm area and private cabanas behind the south end zone where the marching band sits. Their team entrance is very similar to Virginia Tech's In which they would have a celebrity show up on the video board and lead the crowd in a similar chant, but instead of LET'S GO! HOOKIES! It's the letters L on one side of the stadium and U on the other side and after a few times, it will queue the team intro but every year the intros are extremely different then having them play the same intro like VT but that is usually their tradition is having the crowd jump up and down to Enter Sandman. But the intro videos along with the team running out still gives me chills because the music is very cinematic and theatrical rather then being all chaotic and heavy metal like and it's even more theatrical during night games when the lights turn off and our synchronized to the music. The tradition for the flames football is four quarters fury which is our fourth-quarter moment. During this, the lights will turn off during night games and the entire crowd will turn their cell phone flashlights on and waved them around as they sing along to don't stop believing by Journey all while the mascot and cheerleaders T-shirts out of air cannons into the crowd. Every time it never gets old and just seeing a good crowd being able to do that gives me chills. Now the best part of attending a football game is that tickets are extremely affordable and are usually around $35 on their main ticketing website and liberty university students get into the student section for 100% free without the need of them purchasing a ticket in which that is the main reason why I'm majority of the fans are liberty students and the student section is located on the visitor side and utilizes the entire lower bowl section and regardless of how packed the stadium is that entire section is always full of loud and enthusiastic students during every single game and they are very entertaining to watch as they do a lot of crazy stuff like having their mascot crowd surf while he rides an inflatable raft. I honestly think that William Stadium is the most underrated CFB Division 1 stadium in the entire country. And besides, their football team is the best college team in the entire state of Virginia.
