This park has everything! It is a pretty big size that contains baseball fields, soccer fields, skate park, and One basketball court. The first thing you notice about Burgess Park is how big the fields are. They are plenty of eating areas and benches. Also in the park is a Rec center, Library, Police station, Gym, and Pool. Good size park with plenty to do!

Burgess Park!!!

Burgess Park is a beautiful, massive park in Menlo Park with an impressive set of all different kinds of athletic facilities - it has everything!!! It's a huge recreation area for baseball, basketball, soccer, frisbee, swimming, skateboarding, tennis - you name it! I sought to take as many pictures as I could to capture everything - the park is absolutely enormous. All the fields, parks, courts, pools, etc. are so well maintained and well run. So many people were hanging out all over the park on the basketball court, the skateboard park, the pool, or eating at tables with friends, family, or by themselves, just having a good time. The flowers and plant life in general around the park were also colorful and gorgeous. I would definitely recommend spending quality time in the park - it is a special place, and you will always be able to find activities there that you will enjoy and keep you engaged and happy!!!

This park has everything (but not enough shade!)--basketball court, baseball & soccer fields, skate park, playground, etc. There's even a duck pond & the Menlo Park library is right there. A great place to do activities or just relax.

Burgess Park is great! I walk through it several times a day, and I am always amazed at all the activity. There is: - a Little League field, - a separate softball field, - a soccer field, - other grass area, - a kids playground, - picnic tables, - barbecues, - a gymnastics facility, - three pools, - tennis courts, - a brand new gym (for basketball, badminton, exercise classes, & more), - a newly renovated recreation center with conference and exercise rooms, and - a new building on the way with conference rooms, aerobic studios and a state of the art gymnastics facility. The library is less than a two minute walk from the park, and the train station is only another two minutes away. This is a great place!

Excellent family park in Menlo Park. The community center, library, city hall and police station are in this area. Contact city park division to reserve picnic table and groups for events. I believe you can reserve rooms inside the community center.

Wonderful park! Great place to take kid and play with a nice mix of shade and sun. You can also run over to the library nearby as well!

I love that the park is so close to my home. But why is there never anyone walking their dogs (or even walking without their dogs) at night?

Hiked at Wunderlich Park on a sunny Saturday in March! We used AllTrails for directions and we…read morereached around 9am - to our surprise, the parking lot was full by then so definitely recommend coming earlier. There were multiple cars circling around looking for a spot as well. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes before parking. We did the Bear Gulch and Alambique trail clockwise. There are some brief steep sections, but for the most part, the trail was moderate in terms of difficulty. We didn't encounter too many people despite all the cars in the lot. We spotted a small snake on the trail and there was a lot of horse manure on the Alambique portions, so we had to watch our step closely. The trail was mostly shaded which was nice, but there wasn't much of a view. Overall, the trail was well marked and maintained (minus the manure on Alambique). Good hike for a sunny day, but the parking lot situation could be improved.

EXPERIENCE I recently visited Wunderlich Park to visit…read moretheir museum and carriage house. I didn't go for an extensive hike but want to return someday to do so! STARS (stand out qualities) -Beautiful and well maintained park -Well preserved historical site STAIRS (areas of growth) -More signage clarifying which of two entrances to enter at TIPS -Parking is limited so good to carpool or come during weekday if you can -Try signing up for tour. I learned interesting history of Chinese laborers!
