Bacon Cheeseburger was good and it hit the spot!
    Ruby B.

Glad we stopped in to eat at Burger Queen during our drive through Lakeview. Menu is straightforward and prices are reasonable. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my hubby ordered a double cheeseburger with grilled onions. I enjoyed my cheeseburger as it was a traditional flat-top freshly made burger. The burger had a nice crunchy edge, the bacon, lettuce and onions, and their sauce combined was a good collection of flavors. Just needed a sprinkle of salt and a dab of ketchup to perk up the flavors. In a good way, it reminded me of a homemade backyard grilled burger. My hubby said his double cheeseburger was good too. The tater tots were hot, happily meaning they were just fried and not just sitting around. Pleased that they were freshly cooked. Service was friendly and thankful. We waited a few extra minutes as there was a large order before us. The place is light-filled and clean. They also have a drive through window. We like supporting local businesses wherever we go, so we would happily stop here again the next time we pass through Lakeview. Overall 4.4!

It's your standard small town burger place. There are a lot of options so I'm sure you can find something as long as your like burger or hotdogs. I didn't find anything amazing nor did I find anything horrible. There is a small drive through window but it's probably just as efficient if you park your car and order inside. There are several simple seating options inside the place but nothing fancy. I order the spicy burger and it's somewhat spicy. The meat is not huge but good enough. The meat is not super juicy but considering the location it's alright. The curly fries are slightly too hard even though they are freshly fried. As I said, it's middle of the mill and good choice if you are hungry and need somewhere simple to eat. I wouldn't come here just for the food but it's a good choice if you happen to be in this town. Service is efficient and good enough. As I said it's so run of the mill that I actually have a hard time come up with anything good or bad. It can get loud if you have a big family eating inside.

Simple menu, prices for individual items but can make it a combo for $5+. Food came out hot and tasted very good, fry's were below average. Service was good, but when you order at the counter, you are prompted for a tip. (I didn't think ordering at the counter & getting my own drink warranted this) Overall my wife and I enjoyed our food and thought highly of it as it's not a chain store.

Burger Queen is a family-owned joint that's been around for several years. It's a must-do whenever you're in Lake County. The burgers are not quite thin enough to be called "smashburgers" but they're unlike any you find at any franchise / chain burger joint. The fries are also a hit; they aren't the frozen "crinkle-cut" that are becoming more common. The place is surprisingly clean; ample parking, and the staff always treats customers like family. Pro Tip: Get the "Fry Sauce"

Mushroom burger and Josh burger w/ bacon

Passed through this litttle town and stopped for a quick bite. It was recommend over another spot nearby. Ordered the Josh burger (for myself) and the mushroom burger for my husbands, Both meals. Burger was flavorful and the fries were all crispy! Suggested we get the sauce that "everyone gets" and it's a mayo with flavorings (similar to tartar). Over all we're leaving full so a decent experience!

It's always nice to find an alternative fast food option other than a big chain, and I like supporting local businesses. The food is nothing fancy, but is tasty and reasonably priced. The patty was a little rubbery for my taste, but better than most fast food burgers. Service was quick and my burger arrived quickly. The interior was modern, but harkens back to classic burger restaurants.

I booked an Uber...it was taking forever and eventually I got the message that drivers were BUSY try later. It's a SMALL TOWN. (:-) SOOOO Holiday Market DELI to the rescue. They make subs to order on several breads. It's a similar system to Subway EXCEPT HERE at Holiday they are NOT stingy with black olives and other goodies. They even have GOOD SPROUTS. We arrived at peak lunch and there were only 2 people ahead of us. OUR SANDWICHES WERE EXCELLENT and BIG. My husband ate all of his but I only had room for half. This was our first meal of the day and we were very hungry. Sandwiches come with free drinks. It was $18 for both of us. The market seems to deserve its great reviews. My compliments to management for hiring friendly employees and encouraging them to give off a HAPPY VIBE. Aisles are wide. It feels great in the store. It's clean. The whole market gives off a higher end market impression. Very pleasant. And some YUMMY GOODIES if you just need snacks. If management wanted to add one simple thing for us Tesla shoppers eating from the Deli, it would be a couple picnic tables with colorful umbrellas outside along the wall we walk back to the chargers. That would be pretty nice so we wouldn't need to eat in our cars. (:-) But even without it's an awesome Tesla charging stop. If you find this review useful please VOTE!

This store is small, it is a bit sad even, one could certainly hope it one day gets a major upgrade that this town clearly needs. But it's almost homely in a sense. Many of the employees are absolutely wonderful, some notable names I recall from my visit was BobbieJo, Leslie, Larry, and Ashe, although many other employees were very kind and welcoming, however, there was a few notes about another employee that I feel was perhaps having a bad day, A tall individual, I didn't catch their name, was complaining rather loudly to a customer about quite a few things and giving seemingly snide remarks about other people, now I'm unsure if perhaps this worker was simply having a bad day or if this is their typical behavior- But as a first experience it wasn't all too pleasant, to hear a worker complaining and calling their fellow employees some rather not too kind words I would rather not repeat. Other than that general experience, the selection was sparce, but given the size of the store I wasn't all too surprised. Again the overall general review I give this place is that while it definitely needs some TLC and a Major upgrade for the towns sake- the people seem kind with a few exceptions and the store was at the very least, comforting in a small town charm way.

His demeanor was not a good first impression. The exterior store design is what I remember from my 1960's childhood and the interior is tight. I have been to many small towns with Safeway stores and they have the newer layouts that have all the departments mentioned above. Lakeview deserves the upgrade to a whole new store.

We were driving thru town, looking for a deli sandwich. Any place we could get a good sandwich quickly, to get back on the road quickly, that wasn't yet another fast food place. I had a simple turkey and cheese on white. I can't describe quite why it was so good. Maybe it was just very, very fresh, and prepared exactly how I ordered it. No one overthought it or gentrified it or anything like that. They did the thing they do, and they did that thing well. My wife had a roast beef sandwich and it was the same story. Not sure why it was as good as it was, except that it was fresh and didn't have a bunch of extra toppings or "accoutrement" she didn't want. Even though this is clearly a very local establishment, they were friendly to us, and the bathroom was clean. We ended up buying some other supplies from the convenience store section, saving a stop. A Leap of Taste was one of the few spots open, and after seeing all the great reviews, we decided to give it a try. The ambiance is really cute and cozy -- lots of decor, lighting, and seating that makes it feel welcoming and comfortable. Service was also quick and friendly, which we appreciated. We ordered the Green Machine smoothie and a matcha, and both were really good and definitely a highlight of our visit. Where the experience fell a bit short for us was the food. While the presentation was great, the taste didn't quite match expectations. The breakfast tacos listed potatoes, but they ended up being more like tater tots, and the tortillas weren't warm -- my friend wasn't very fond of them. I ordered the #5 sandwich, which was described as being on jalapeño toast, but it came on regular toast instead, along with a pickle on the side. The sandwich itself was okay -- not bad, but something I could easily make at home. For the two drinks and two food items, we paid around $40, which felt a bit high considering the overall food experience. I can see why this place is well-loved by locals -- it fits the neighborhood vibe and likely appeals to the regular crowd -- but as visitors, the food didn't quite live up to the hype for us. Overall, it's a cute spot with great drinks, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. I'd probably come back for beverages, but I'd skip the food next time
