The Burger Project was a great, filling, "hit the spot" option in the Gateway Foodcourt. Having passed through multiple times given our hotel proximity, I wanted to dig into one of large burgers they had marketed. I ended up grabbing an early dinner with my wife. We ordered the double cheese, the deluxe, large fries with chipotle chili (and garlic aioli), and a drink. The staff member at the register was also very helpful and explained the options available. I personally had the double burger and I felt it was a great value for the price - the parties were large, higher quality and juicy. Moreover, the supporting ingredients were fresh and flavorful (tomato, onion, pickles, American cheese, good bun as well). The fries were reminiscent of American Boardwalk fries. The seasoning was prefect and the composition of the fries was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Accompanied by the aioli, the fries became more than a simple side. On a prior occasion I had the malt vanilla/chocolate shake which was also delicious but likely too much if consumed along with a double burger and fries. So happy I stopped in and tried The Burger Project.

1st check-in Why: I was near there and I have been interested in trying THE BURGER which Australian icon chef Neil Perry projected. What I ordered:American Cheese $9.90 and Chips (Small) with plain salt $3.50 Total $13.40 What my friend ordered: Classic $8.90 and Chips (Small) with chipotle chilli salt $3.50 $12.40 American Cheese-Grass fed beef, cheese, onion, pickles, secret sauce and rose mayonnaise. It was really juicy and yam. I will come back but next time I'd like to order Cheeseburger which has lettuce and tomato on it. I need some veggies with the burger. My friend ordered Classic and she enjoyed it, too. Her recommendation was Magic Mushroom, which has crumbed confit mushroom, cheese, onion, pickles, tomato, lettuce and secret sauce $10.50. Surprisingly they have alcohol as well such as Wine and Beer/Cider. The Dining area is reasonably roomy. Trading Hours:11am-9pm Monday-Sunday Good for the group, couples and single. It's not really cheap but reasonable prices. You can enjoy burgers projected by Neil Perry. You don't have to go to the exclusive restaurant of Rockpool.

Burger project seems a bit like a more upmarket MacDonald's at double the cost. In saying that the burger I had, American Cheese was lovely. The burger itself was meaty & succulent, the cheese gooey & added flavour without overpowering the burger & the pickles & sauce complimented the burger & created a bridge between the bread & meat. The chips were hot & crispy, with a choice of small or large. The menu is not massive but there is enough there to tempt the most dedicated burger eater & you have a choice of drinks including milk shakes & beer. The decor is simple & the food arrives in disposable packaging. All in all it's a great place to drop in after work or for a first date if you don't want anything too intimate.

    Cheers !

My first Burger Project experience and last !! ...... it's clear that it's a failure. The Burger patty had a tonne of salt ..... and the rest of your meal tastes bland and uninspired. The Burger fell apart on the first grab ....... no taste ...... no good experience...... if they didn't sell beer ...... they would probably be struggling to sell anything. Just disappointed....... expected average to good ....... but got poor ..... it's in a busy part of the city ...... you would think they were top quality.

The fries were on the crisp (but not crunchy) side outside and soft inside.

I hadn't been to this one before, and I loved it!! I loved the outside area, which really isn't…read moreoutside as it's in like a little shopping centre type place. But the inside as so cute, and more seats than I thought there'd be!! The lady that took our order was so nice too!!! Their chairs aren't that comfy though!! LOL!! But they actually have USB chargers as well, but the lights that are on the end of the bench seating along the wall where the chargers are are weird. It's like being in a library LOL! And it's awkward if you're with someone cause you have the light there between us. We used it as a spot light for the chips we were sharing LOL! But again, I love their burgers, and it didn't disappoint! https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/ShowUserReviews-g255060-d7255842-r646700822-Burger_Project-Sydney_New_South_Wales.html#

We were looking for a burger place to eat and one of the locals recommended this place. We were…read moredisappointed, they don't got nothing on Five Guys! Sorry maybe I need to stop comparing, but when you find a good burger and fries stick to it. Too bad no Five Guys in Sydney, they don't know what they missing. I got the Outback Burger which was small and flavorless, my Hubby got the Deluxe Burger it had a big beet on it, I've never seen that before, that was different. He wasn't impressed with his either. We also got Fries(Chips) is what they call them with a Soda. The Burgers are ridiculously overpriced we paid $39 for Burgers that weren't fulfilling. And they surcharge you $1 for using your Credit Card, because they don't accept American Cash, seriously who turns down American Cash?
