If anyone has been to Oslo, or knows anything about Oslo you'll know that the food here is quite expensive. You don't come here for the food, you come here for the sights. So I was hungry, trying not to spend a ton of Kroner, and ended up at this Burger King.
Honestly, my favorite thing about this place is you were able to get free refills. How American is that? In a place where most fast food places charge you 10 Kroner, or $1.28 just for a refill, you appreciate anything and everything that's free.
And since I was in another country, I couldn't get a Whopper, that would be boring. I ended up with this chicken BLT sandwich on one of those long buns. It was two small circular patties with a thicker coating that norma chicken back in America, which I enjoyed. It of course came with bacon and had some sort of spicy sauce on it which was very good. The fries didn't taste like American BK fries, but were still good. The plus here is that the fries were actually hot! The biggest difference was in the lack of salt.
The Burger King was rather small, a little dirty (kind of felt like home), but overall, it was exactly what I needed. I still paid 140 Kroner ($16.42 USD), but honestly, that was a steal. read more
