Instead of a polite answer (or even a "sorry, I'm not allowed to chat"), I was met with eye rolls, attitude, and complete disregard. The workers acted like I was bothering them just by speaking. I wasn't being rude, I wasn't holding up the line -- just trying to be a decent human being. But the vibe was cold and unwelcoming from the moment I walked in. I get that fast food work can be stressful, but basic respect and kindness should never be too much to ask. They were extremely rude to me and told me to "keep it movin bud" when I was simply just trying to make friendly conversation. These workers had no respect and need to have an attitude check. I grew up going to this McDonalds but I will not be coming back....... I just wanted to feel something from the workers. Even if it was just a smile or a small conversation. Won't be coming back to this location. Do better.

It always used to be good and sometimes better than good but yesterday it was awesome. Big chunks of short rib really fresh delicious pico de gallo and fresh guacamole. And the red salsa is better than it's ever been. It finally has authentic Mexican flavor and it's not afraid to put a little heat into it. Something changed recently because the food is more authentic now than it's ever been, and it's always been good, but they now have taken the steps to the next level. I can't recommend them enough. PS and the owner and the staff really believe in what they're doing and it shows in every aspect of the business. You just can't go wrong there.

We typically do take-out on night number one, and like in years past, the food is always ready on time and prepared as ordered. We ordered an array of items including Cheesesteaks, Chicken Caesar Wrap, Burgers, Grilled Cheese, Fries, and Onion Rings. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The line stretched around the side of the building the night we stopped for ice cream, but it moved quickly. Staff efficiently took orders, prepared cones and sundaes, and kept the line moving despite the large crowd. While take-out is always great from Kessel's, I will always prefer dining in! You really can't beat the old-school diner vibes and decor, and the service is outstanding. Julia, our server, did an incredible job with our party of 7. She was highly attentive, frequently checked in, and really added to our experience. My Cheesesteak Hoagie with hot peppers may have been my favorite thing I've ordered from Kessel's to date, but it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. The burgers and wraps are also solid choices. I also ordered a fresh Peach Sundae and I highly recommend! Julia even made my sundae herself in addition to waiting tables, and it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Absolutely picture-worthy! Kessel's is a cash-only establishment, but for seven people--including sandwiches, burgers, wraps, multiple orders of fries, and a few desserts--the total was just over $100. That's an incredible value especially at the Jersey Shore. Kessel's will always be a staple of our family vacations and continues to be a highlight for our nieces.
