This is the second time this place has scammed me out of money. It's been 1 year and 3 months since I last ate here. I thought I'd give them a second chance but nope, same scam. Now I have to dig through my trash to find the receipt so I can go pay them a visit. Last time this happened, I think it was March 2024. The manager or owner whoever it was told me there's a password on the card terminal that only he can access to re-process sales and that he "accidentally hit a button" that caused it. I call BS. My gut says: never come back here. Once I find the receipt, I'll post a photo showing no tip. If the owner tries to show a receipt with a tip added, then they forged it and I'll demand to see the CCTV footage of me signing that receipt. How does this keep happening to me? The lady at the register said they haven't seen the owner in weeks. She told me I could take cash on the spot or wait for him. I was like, "Weeks? Yeah, no. I'm not waiting weeks for my $2.18 back." I didn't need to play the long game with the bank which can take months or sue for $2 (which, ironically, could later cost the owner hundreds of thousands in court and recovery fees... plus the $2). And yes, I'm that petty. If you know your card terminal is doing this, and you didn't even argue when I mentioned being overcharged then why haven't you changed your terminal or processor in the 1 year and 3 months since it last happened? It's as if you're the one doing it. Trying to quietly score an extra couple bucks per customer. Some might say, "It's just $2, let it go." But if they're doing this to every customer, all day, every day? That adds up. We came across Ol Buckaroo off a recommendation by our AirBnB Host. It was so good we came in TWICE for dinner on different days during our stay. I'll highlight both meals I had. But first, the service was great. Both times we came in the restaurant wasn't terribly busy (around 5 PM on weekdays) and we were seated right away. Keep in mind by 6ish/6:30 loads of customers were coming in. The restaurants is cute and small inside with maybe 10-12 tables, but a ton of outdoor seating with mist-fans. We decided to stay inside both times. Our servers who take care of us on both days were attentive and kind, getting us everything we needed quickly and constantly checking on us. Regarding the food: 1st night I ordered the "Pesto Pasta with chicken"--Spaghetti with a creamy basil pesto sauce. To drink I ordered their house-made soda--soda with Watermelon flavoring (yum). You get a large portion of delicious spaghetti (definitely your money's worth) soaked in pesto sauce. The chicken was tender and moist. It was a perfect, carb-filled meal following a long day of hiking. The soda was also tasty and fresh. I highly recommend this dish to anyone coming in with some big-time hunger. The 2nd visit I ordered the "Buckaroo Burger:"--a durham ranch beef patty, American Cheese, lettuce, tomato and Buckaroo sauce. I had a side of fries and to drink, the "Pims Cup:" Sparkling Water, lemon, cucumber, and fruit garnish. On the menu the drink is described as, "slightly sweet and refreshing with a hint of anise flavor," perfectly described and true.
