This is the maple BBQ Whopper with bacon and cheese. This is what I was promised.
    Dan L.

I had seen all the online videos about how the CEO of Burger King decided to receive phone calls and make things better. Well he had obviously not been to this particular Burger King. Let's break it down, shall we? Full disclosure? I was an assistant manager at a Burger King in willows California in the early 1980s. So I understand how a Burger King should be run. I am strictly basing my review on my experience and the food itself, I did not go into the restaurant but rather went through the drive-thru. For starters, there was only one other car in the other line when I arrived. I sat at the kiosk waiting for someone to talk to me after a good 4 to 5 minutes. Someone came on and said we'll be right with you. I sat there for an easy 10 minutes before they finally got back. Now they did apologize, but that did not really make me understand why there was such a pileup. There were not a lot of cars out front so I knew the restaurant wasn't busy. I was excited to try the new Whopper, and saw that they had the Maple barbecue Whopper with bacon and cheese, so I opted for that, went large, and then drove forward to the window. And there I sat Finally someone came to the window and gave me my Cherry Coke zero and straw. And then close the window. A few moments later. She came back and said, did I give you your drink? I said yes you did. She said I'll be right back with your food. A few minutes later she came back with the food, thanked me and I drove off. I got home, I opened the bag and was pleasantly surprised to see that everything was neatly placed in the bag rather than haphazardly thrown in, as I had experienced at some other fast food places. However, the big surprise was when I opened the box containing the Whopper. Now as you can see in my photos what the maple barbecue Whopper with bacon and cheese was supposed to look like, it was supposed to have fried onion slices and fried jalapenos, with bacon and cheese. Cheese. Was there cheese? Plainly see some cheese in there. Was there bacon? Yes, there was bacon that looked like it had been so thinly sliced with an exacto knife that I could barely see it on the hamburger. How about the fried onions and frieda jalapenos? Almost non-existent. It literally looked like someone had taken a pinch of graham cracker crumbs and put it on the hamburger top and bottom. The only thing holding it together was some barbecue sauce. The upside? My fries were hot. The hamburger was as warm as I was expecting, but you bite into it and and there was no flavor outside of a standard Whopper. Such a disappointment. Especially when you are paying for a premium sandwich. So here are my main complaints. The burger was absolutely not what I was expecting based on the photograph on the sign. Look I get it. They spend a lot of money to have food photographers make it look amazing but it should at least have some similarities to what you actually get in the bag. This was definitely not fast food, and I am still perplexed as to why it took so long to get the food to the vehicle.. or even take my order for that matter. As someone who was an assistant manager at a Burger King. I am familiar with policy and procedure. I don't know if this is the manager's fault, the district manager's fault or the franchisees fault, but there is a definite problem at this particular Burger King. Bottom line? Based on this experience, I doubt that I will ever return to this particular location, or another Burger King ever again. Again. You don't get a third chance to make a second impression.

Has to be the slowest drive-through in the city. There were three cars in front of me and it took 45 minutes.

Being able to customize your burger the way you want and not being overcharged for it is a plus. I would recommend everyone that I know to come here! The burgers are priced very affordable! Not too expensive. Delicious quality hamburgers. Two thumbs up for me!

I had asked my server what he recommended between the Applewood and the PB&J burgers and he said the Applewood was really good. It was alright. I didn't really taste much of the cheese on it, it was a little bland. My partner got the BBB burger and that one was pretty good. I liked the sweet potato fries with the pumpkin sauce that came as my side. My partner loves the bacon ketchup. Trivia night was good. They were quick at first but then the questions slowed down quite a bit and left us a little bored between questions. The physical challenge round of holding up a beer stein was interesting and I'm not sure if I liked it or not. The featured category for the night was Disney Parks trivia and the website said there would be two rounds of it. There ended up only being one unless you count the physical challenge because they put Gaston's name on it. I did not see anywhere on their website, reservation system, or the trivia posting that there were any requirements to play trivia. It was about to start and the hostest announced that each person in our trivia groups were required to purchase an entree in order to play. I don't know if they enforced this but that was frustrating to hear that when we had no warning and were not planning on having an entire dinner. They handed out the trivia sheets before announcing it and didn't warn us then either. The trivia itself was a decent mix of difficulty for questions. The trivia prizes are linked to how much you spent which we found odd but understandable. (1st place gets a Slater 50/50 gift card worth 25% of their total check amount. 2nd gets 15%, 3rd gets 10%) This ended up feeling like a mediocre night. Maybe I just got unlucky with the burger I picked combined with the frustration of not having two Disney trivia rounds. My partner and friend had fun at least

They were extremely bland, had almost no flavor, and it seemed like they were missing the breading altogether. They tasted like they had just been fried until they were dry. Mine didn't have any lettuce (I'm not sure if it's supposed to), came with one very thick slice of tomato, and what looked like the end piece of an onion. Overall, it was pretty average. The Hot Mess Fries completely saved the meal. They were crispy, loaded with cheese, and the sauce was delicious. The sliced peppers added a nice kick and brought everything together. I'd definitely order those again.

Inside it looks like most sports bars with lots of TVs and a variety of seating inside and possibly patio seating for when the weather is right. We asked about the meat blend of the burgers and our server said that she didn't know because she works at another burger restaurant and gets the two mixed up. I also asked if the burgers were ground in house and she shook her head no. We started out by sharing the macaroni and cheese bites. They were fried nicely and had nice cheesy filling. Not sure what it was but they also left a weird after taste that I didn't like but maybe other people might not be bothered by. Since I didn't know what was in the burgers I ordered a Chicken Sandwich called Fowl Play. It was a big sloppy sandwich. I really wish they used knives and forks here because it was hard to eat as it was. It was reasonably GOOD but did run on the sweet side. The fries that came with it were fresh made and good. My husband tried the Green Chili Burger and asked for it to be cooked Medium-Rare. It came out well done. It was very good for a well done burger with good flavors and all but still it was well done. It also wasn't very busy but our server didn't feel the need to check on us so she didn't stop by until we finished. We told her the burger was well done instead of medium-rare.
