*EDIT 1- we were there again a few days ago(13/2/2015) and the onion is now FREE! Also just one raw slice rather than two. SIX STARS!+1 star for tasting just like in-and-out (burgers and fries)
*EDIT 2 - we come here quite regularly, and today (20/09/2015) there was a MILKSHAKE machine! If you want milkshake as a drink for your combo, they give you a token and a cup for the machine (2.50EUR otherwise). There are four flavours: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and banana. The portion for the milkshake is small. The consistency is gooey and not thick. It's not good milkshake, but they have milkshake.
___
+1 star for having even better cheese than in-and-out
+1 star for having a great location (right next to strasbourg-st. denis metro exit)
+1 star for the upper floor seating and everything is very clean, including the kitchen
+1 star for taking ticket restaurant and relatively decent service (the lady taking your order does't speak English but is super nice, sometimes you get guys from kitchen taking orders and they do speak English)
+1 star for having good pricing Paris standard (under 10 EUR for a double-double, fries, and a fountain soft drink THAT'S REFILLABLE!!!)
- 1 star for charging 40 cents for onions. Raw onions make in-and-out for what it is :/
I guess it's a good thing there's a minus one star there since I can't give out six stars on Yelp.
If you are looking for an amazing burger that is as good as in-and-out (btw, if you don't already know this, the perfect meat to bun ratio is double-double) this place is 5 stars.
If you are looking for in-and-out replica, this place is close but not 100%. It might look it and might taste it, but there are things that do throw you off. They charge extra for raw onions ("ognion cru" for the English speakers out there - if you just ask for onion they will give it to you grilled) and give you two giant slices which is an overkill, there's no milkshake, they ask you if you want ketchup and mustard on your burger as though it should be there, they sell coffee, latte, muffins and cookies (er..), and they have much better cheese. I'm pretty sure if you asked the non-english speaking lady for animal style, or maybe other stuff on the in-and-out secret menu, she will look get you confused, but feel free to try. I just want my double-double (a little less than 7 EUR).
They only have one cash-register and a tiny open kitchen, so I'm conflicted about writing this review. I want them to get enough business to stay open, but i certainly don't want a huge line. =P read more
