Great place to stop for a quick bite on a beach day or when you're not feeling up for a full meal…read more Sandwiches are large and taste great! Plenty of customization options. A counter seat is hit or miss but nice to have available instead of only being a walk up window. Skip the smoothies. They're watery and thus not very filling or flavorful. You're better off getting a sandwich (again, as this was my 2nd visit) or going somewhere else for a smoothie.

Just one block away from South Beach on 14th Street, this place is a very popular fast food spot…read more Since South Beach restaurants are either expensive (20% gratuity even for a party of two) or extremely crowded, we walked one block inland and found this place. From a distance, it looks like a food truck, but it's actually a full setup designed to look that way. Even in the scorching heat, there was a line--but it moved quickly. Their menu has everything. Think of it as a Subway style setup, but with smoothies, tropical ingredients, and lots of fresh options. Now the main part...We ordered- Chicken Mix Baguette Tuna Baguette Am I the only one who found it just okay? At Subway, at least they toast the bread for a bit. Here, I genuinely struggled with the hard bread--it was tough to chew. Also, the meats were cold, which I'm not used to. I knew that beforehand, but still wanted to try this hyped spot. They have about 5-7 bar style stools for seating, but in the humidity, it's not the most comfortable experience. Freshness (smoothies & ingredients): 5/5 Overall taste & experience: 3/5 Or maybe we're just spoiled by the big fast food chains?

Listen, if you're looking to explore some BBQ, this place is FIRE. It's got good food, a friendly…read moreguy cooking it, and my only regret is not coming here first thing in the morning so I could have the freshest pick. One thing about me is I love to have BBQ fresh off the smoker, but I do like that this truck is well equipped to keep everything warm, soft, and juicy. We tried the ribs and they were BUSSIN. Soft and amazing. In my life, I've never had ribs that soft before. They were seriously incredible. The pork sausage, though, was a HIT for me. I'm a girl who loves sausage, any kind, and the way this was so juicy just hit a spot for me. Matter of fact, I'll stop cooking sausages at home and simply come buy them by the pound here. The pulled pork was good. It's my fault for putting Sweet Heat BBQ on it without trying it first because LORD JESUS. I don't know what I was thinking. I underestimated the heat, and usually I love it hot, but LORD. I think my bread absorbed all of it. So, tread lightly with the hot sauces. For me, next time I think playing with a regular BBQ sauce and adding little dashes of the heated sauces myself would be the move. BUT IF YOU LIKE CRAZY HEAT, THEY GOT IT. The mac was good. The beans were FIRE. Perfectly sweet, and they actually have protein in them, which I can't say for all BBQ bean spots. Overall, it's worth the money. The service is respectful, and honestly, I will be coming back. I'll be ordering less food next time because LORD, I bought too much, but I'll definitely be back for a fresh brisket straight off the smoker. I can't lie. All in all, they're great. I like BBQ that tastes like hard work. Frankly, I want some love put into my BBQ, not just something that was simply cooked, and here they definitely have that. Only a true master can get sausage the way they do it here. 10/10. All juicy, all good. I'll be back. I can't recommend enough that you need to pivot your Thursdays through Sundays and try this place, ESPECIALLY IF IT'S FRESH OFF THE SMOKER. Real BBQ isn't about the presentation. My car, my hair, and my clothes all smelled like I rolled around in a smoker, which is exactly what I want from my BBQ. P.S. My dogs were going crazy for my fingers and trying to jump on the counters to get a bite, so you know it's good because they're well trained.

Basque-Spanish-inspired cuisine cooked by a Basque native chef bringing high-end cooking techniques…read morefrom Northern Spain's Michelin-starred kitchens? Sign me up. This is not a hidden gem, this is a whole treasure chest hidden in a North Miami corner. It's a very modest, cozy, casual and intimate setting but focused on the Basque region's distinctive gastronomy and best ingredients. What was the cherry on top? His mom was bringing out all the delicious dishes to us, and by us I mean most of the patrons in the joint at the time. Love the fact that it's all kept in the family. She's a very sweet and attentive lady. I can't even comprehend the quickness in which those dishes kept coming out while simultaneously removing the used ones. Needless to say the kitchen works fast and the moms works faster. Service is exceptional. Now as far as the food, everything and I mean every bite was superb and a 10/10. It's a family-style menu so the best way to do it is to order different dishes and that's exactly what we did. We opted for the tuna tartare sitting on smoked peas foam, smoked shiitake mushrooms, the octopus on root celery puree, sweet corn cream pasta with blue crab, the gambas or shrimp al ajillo and ended with arguably the absolute BEST Basque cheesecake I've had not only in Miami but anywhere in the world including Spain. I can't honestly say one dish stood out more than the other because they were all different yet so perfectly executed. I didn't expect any less from Chef Aitor. Flavor profiles I had never experienced before pleasantly shocking my taste buds. What a culinary adventure it was to say the least. Now that cheesecake....Mamma Mia. If it sounds like I'm exaggerating or overhyping, go see for yourself and then come back to me. I can't even fathom how incredibly perfect and exquisite and divine this dessert was. So good that when the Chef came out to check up on us I told him I needed to take one home which I've never ever ever done because I don't really have a sweet tooth. That should be testimony enough to spark curiosity. Okay fine I'll stop overhyping if that's what you think I'm doing. Again, go over there and embark in that extraordinary culinary adventure and you'll be convinced way before your last bite of that cheesecake. I'll leave it at that for now.

When entering Edan Bistro you are met with, no host and once you are finally sat you are lucky if the waiter checks on once throughout service. For a place that chargers about $30 a plate you would hope they would properly staffed. The food was good, but nothing impressive. Sorry to say I will not be back here.
