Great swim lessons program at Burbank pool
    Sylvia T.

My kids love this place! Feel so lucky that our town has an awesome pool. Very reasonable daily rates for residents and non-residents. They are open until 8pm weekdays during the summer & deal alert...there is a discounted entry rate after 5pm. They also have a family package you can buy to have unlimited access to the pool all summer long. Great gated kiddie pool with plenty of lounge chairs for the parents. The water is from 0-2 feet. There is obviously also a big pool, but for now we basically stick to the kiddie pool when we come here as a family. Plenty of lifeguards on duty for both pools. The concession food is decent, but nothing to brag about. The swimming classes they offer here are awesome. Done in a group setting, but more then enough staff on hand to give your kids one on one attention. Pricing is extremely reasonable too at $50 per session for residents. Non-resident fee is a little higher, but not sure the exact price. Each session consists of 8 classes total. The classes each last 45 minutes on M-TU-THURS-FRI for 2 weeks straight. There are 4 sessions total, but you can pick and choose which sessions you want to take. Super cute award ceremony and family pool day at the end of each session!

First kudos to whomever within the Woodridge town council who got this gem built. I'm so jealous, as my town's private elitist 1950s community pool (8 miles away) is insanely expensive and comes nothing close to Cypress Cove. What a great amenity for the community of Woodridge. Secondly, hats of to the staff and lifeguards working. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and eagle eyes of the entire lifeguards crew. We went on a Sunday and arrived 10 minutes before opening. I felt the daily entrance fee was a very fair price for our five hour visit. I also was impressed with the snack shop prices and appreciated that they didn't match movie theater or baseball stadium pricing at all. How lovely that they have kept prices low and not inflated. My biggest concern was cleanliness, and I was super impressed with how well maintained the park is, and the crystal clear pool water was absent any disturbing "odors" that occur at some water parks. I also appreciated that food was only allowed near the snack shops and not allowed into the pool deck areas. The drippings of ice cream cones, wasps and bees chasing sugary drinks, and hot dog mustard stains were absent. The landscaping, amenities layout, and thoughtfulness of the entire park was wonderful. I'll definitely visit again!

A pizza, a smoothie, and a frozen strawberry lemonade. Classic mistake. I just get my pizza, and I go, "Huh, maybe it's just busy." I couldn't be more wrong. I stand there, for 20 more minutes. At this point, I'm a little confused. I start seeing the people behind me get their food and walk away. BEFORE I GOT MY SMOOTHIE AND LEMONADE. My church friends at this point had gotten their food already and finished eating, and i'm still waiting. I decided to ask the lady about it. She nods, and I assume she is grabbing my drinks. She brings back a pretzel. I ask one more time, just to be sure she heard me. She has the AUDACITY to come back and ask me what I ordered. AND ROLLS HER EYES WHEN I TOLD HER I GOT A STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE AND A STRAWBERRY LEMONADE. Eventually, 10 minutes later, she gives me my strawberry smoothie. But the strawberry lemonade is nowhere to be seen. Ten more minutes later, she comes back with a NORMAL lemonade. I ask anyone if they ordered this, they all say no. So I assume the lady messed up my order and gave me a normal lemonade. At this point, I'm tired and want to get back to my church friends. So, I take the lemonade and walk away, enraged with my experience.

What an absolute BLAST of a waterpark!! Highlights: really…read moregreat staff/lifeguards & very clean. Summer 2026 the rate for four adults, two children under 5 and cooler for $126. Came here on at 11am on a Friday into the afternoon and we all had so much fun. There were some school trips there and all the chairs were taken but it still didn't feel crowded. Short lines, if any, for the lazy river and short lines for the slides. - The lazy river was a hit! 2'5" makes it easy for everyone to enjoy. You have to stay in your tube and the kids complied, mostly, LOL. My 5yo nephew quickly found his element and must've went around 50 times. When it gets busy and the line reaches a sign, you can only go around once. We did have to do that twice but the line getting back on was quick and eventually died down when the school kids left. By 1pm it was smooth floating. - They have four waterslides. Two of them are drop slides (just learned the term). The longer ones were so fun! You can even catch some air on the right slide haha. I think they're built more for the adults than the kids! The two drop sides are also so fun and give you that adrenaline rush. Or at least for me! I did unfortunately fall pretty hard into the water on the left drop slide and have regular issues with my ears as it is. I should have prepared myself better and am still suffering the consequences of not acting my age I guess HAHA. I will say the manager Jason Mata was incredibly helpful. He was able to put some alcohol drops in my ear to relive the fluid from my ear. However it came right back a few minutes later, no fault to him. Either way, it was so much fun and didn't ruin my time one bit! They also have a large pool with a partial deep section and a splash pad area for younger kids. There's also a beach/sandlot playground to enjoy. Lots of fun for everyone!! And the best perk is being able to bring your own food and drinks. This excludes any glassware or alcohol. I honestly think that's a clutch option and so awesome! Did I mention the place is clean and the staff is great?? Cheers to summer!!

I had a great time at Raging Waves! It was the most hygienic water park I've been to. The logistics…read moreof parking and using the lockers were straightforward. I liked the variety of tube rides and cleanliness of the park and equipment. All the tubes were inflated well and the lifeguards were nice (many asked if we enjoyed the ride). I got tickets during the Easter promotion so it was only $25 per ticket, and could be used any day during open season. The tickets say you need to physically print them out, but you can also just show the tickets on your phone. Make sure you bring a clear or mesh bag for your items. Parking is $10 and wasn't a problem even though I got it for the wrong day. There were many tube rides, including multiple tube rides for groups of 2-4 people, so it was perfect for our group of 3. Many rides were two-seaters but there's no problem going down solo. What I liked most about the park was that you don't need to walk very far from one ride to the next, it overall felt pretty compact without being crowded. The locker system was very user-friendly: the 3 of us shared a large locker and the self-serve kiosk printed out a wristband for each of us to wear. There were no issues getting in and out of our locker. There's a spigot labeled "filtered water" for refilling water bottles near the gift shop. The food is pretty standard fare for a theme park - chicken tenders, fries, burgers, etc. The hamburger with bacon for an extra dollar was nice but had absolutely no vegetables. It was nice that they sell Dole whip/soft serve right at the front near the lockers. They had pineapple, vanilla, and chocolate soft serve which was a great way to end the day. They had strawberry on the menu but they were out of it. My specific experience was 5/5 since it wasn't too crowded or too hot, and I got a great deal at 50% off. If I had to pay full price I would still give it 4/5. Please see the note below regarding weather. **NOTE: On the day we came there was a 30% chance of scattered thunderstorms around 3PM. We had planned to go on this day, which was the day before Labor Day. I was concerned with going to a water park while there's thunder and lightning, but then I read the website which said 30% chance of storm means 70% chance of it being totally fine. I liked those odds, and it turned out to be a perfect overcast day. The forecast must have deterred people from coming because the lines were really not that bad. I think if it actually does start thundering, they will shut the park down for safety concerns. Do check the weather forecast before you come, and weigh the risks and benefits if there is a chance of a thunderstorm. Also, different phones/weather apps may give different results, my friend's forecast said it was fine all day.

A holy-grail destination for summer days with kids. They have a lazy river full of innertubes, and giant 2.5 foot deep pool with a play structure and various splashing items, plus a splash pad, and a junk food concession. It is neither a real swimming pool nor a water park. Not a real swimming pool because the deepest part of the pool is 2.5 feet deep. Not a water park because there's no actual waterslide, though there is a slide ... into the water -- if you grasp the distinction I'm making. But as a consequence this means that you can feel much more comfortable giving even young kids a decent amount of freedom (obviously not too much! be safe!) and generating the kind of wet, chlorinated, hot, happy, exhausted summer day that you may have grown up with as a kid. Chicago is a big city of rich amenities, so there are not a ton of things that I say are clearly worth a 45 minute drive from my house, but this is one of them.
