Find little spot outdoors to stop off after a hike or walk. Pizza was good, had rosé. Only beer and wine pretty much. Service was lacking. Bartender not very friendly. Just a pizza joint I suppose. Paper plates, foil containers, pretty much it. But Location and view made up for it. read more

I came to get one of their lunch combos on a lazy Monday morning and wow what a surprise this place was! The pizza had a crispy undercarriage but was not overcooked in the slightest. The sauce on top had good flavor and it was an overall great slice. The Caesar salad was huge and I considered taking half of it home (I never take leftovers). The garlic bite was delicious and reminiscent of the bread I used to get at my favorite pizzeria as a kid... will be coming back just for these. And the cherry on top was the freshly brewed black iced tea that they offer. Will be back again, likely this week!! read more

Need a casual place for a gathering that is good for families/kids, this is your spot - With pizzas by the slice, it's convenient and easy. Service from the pizza guy heating up the slices was friendly and nice. But everything was just ok. Pizza looked like it had sat in the case for awhile but was looking forward to a nice melted cheese (you know, the kind that keeps stretching when you take a bite), and was disappointed with just a mediocre heat. If you go, would recommend ordering a new/fresh full pizza, but be prepared to wait for it. Pasta bolognese was nice to have some other options besides pizza, but wish it was more saucy and covered the spaghetti better. Chicken salad was nice and fresh. Was just more hopeful for the pizza. Parking was limited but we came at a time that wasn't super busy. Also, one communal bathroom outside in the hallway. All in all, have had better NY pizzas elsewhere but appreciated the convenience and ease of finding a place for our group. read more

This spot is very close to the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve! After hiking there, you can stop by here to get some delicious pizza and great views. I ordered the two slices of pizza, a drink, and a garlic knot. The garlic knot was decent. I was hoping for more of a garlicky flavor. The meat lovers slice was great. I also enjoyed the spice from the jalapeño pepperoni slice. The pizza has a solid crust and great flavor. I would definitely come back here to get some pizza after a nice beach day or hike! read more

This spot has my new favorite pizza in the U.S., which is the Crime Scene (left in the photo, white sauce). The Meat Lovers (right, red sauce) was decent; however, the Crime Scene's ricotta absolutely had me stunned and wanting more each bite. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the pasta as it lacked any sort of flavor in both the bolognese and the alfredo, but I will simply come here for their pizzas. The pizza alone would have easily been five stars, but the pasta made me settle on 4 overall due to the price of it and its worth. read more

I don't know what to say. Last time I ordered from here to go when we went to pick up our order the pizza box was sitting in the warming oven empty. OK mistakes happen and we had to sit around for 25 minutes while they made us another pizza. Today I go to pick up my order and they said the delivery guy accidentally took our order of wings and they had to make our order of wings. What really made me upset was the way the handled it. Both times just a shrug and I had to sit around while they corrected their mistakes. No sincere apology no offer for a discount on a future order or an offer to take something off our current check. Just plain poor customer service. read more

Tried it a few times since they opened. Pizza is not too great and it was overheated so the crust was hard to chew. It was a little too dark on the patio at night, hard to find seating. Lots of loud kids also. read more

A friend of mine lives nearby and this is her neighborhood pizza spot. I came here for dinner with her one day. Pizza is decent but nothing special. The view overlooking Torrey Pines is nice and around sunset it's certainly a nice hangout spot. The beer selection is also very good. read more

This place offers some pretty good pizza. Next time, I need to try one of their sandwiches. I had the three slice special with a beverage for $12.50. I had a slice of the supreme, the crime scene, and the Miramar. All three slices were quite good, but my favorite was the crime scene with meatballs, ricotta, and dollops of house marinara sauce. the slices came on a very good crust. The crust was not only tasty but offered a slight crunchiness and a bit of chew. The red sauce on the supreme had a good balance between acidity and a touch of sweetness. They offer a lot of different pizza varieties and also make sandwiches, salads, pastas, and calzone & strombolis. Service is good. The place has a large patio and inside seating. Stopped by here after a nice hike at Torrey Pines! A perfect San Diego day to enjoy the outdoors. We were looking for a place to eat after and thought a few slices of pizza would be perfect. This has to be one of our favorite pizza places. If you like a good thin crust, this place is a must try. Pizzas are already made, you can pick whatever slices you want - buy by the slice or the pizza. Special requests are made to order, with gluten free as an option. We've tried most of their selection and everything was amazing, our favorite has to be the meat lovers. Bonus is the view. The restaurant sits overlooking the water front and at the right times, you can enjoy the sun set with your meal. There are plenty of outside seating to enjoy the weather. Parking is tough, mostly street parking but we never had an issue (purely by luck) every time we came. read more

This is such a great little quick pizza spot. You can't go wrong with getting a slice and getting it warmed up. It comes out great. Not only was the pizza tasty but it was quite reasonable. We are definitely coming back here again in the future. I would suggest the ricotta and sausage pizza. It's far better than the more well-known pizza place in Orange County that does the same thing. read more

It's great food with a great view! The patio seating here is great for seeing Torrey Pines beach. Their garlic knots and their pizza is amazing, but my favorite thing is their antipasto salad, which is massive, comes with salami and cheese, and only $13! i've never been able to finish it in one sitting read more

This place is adorable. It overlooks the grassy lands right by the ocean and you can see the ocean as well very very clean. The food is mouthwatering delicious. Came on a Friday around 7. There was a short line to wait in. They had several different kinds of pizza by the slice but we decided to order a full pizza assuming it would be hot and fresh. Sat outside on the patio as there is limited seating inside. There is a bar outside and ordered wine and a beer. There were people on the patio with dogs. It was chilly and they had heaters on. The patio is pretty dark in spots and some of the tables were not very clean. We asked for a towel to wipe down our table as it was pretty busy and we had waited for a table under a heater and with some light. There is parking in the back (shared with a taco shop) and it was decently lit. Street parking in the front that requires using stairs. Pizza came and was pretty meh to be honest. My husband loves pizza and felt the same. The crust was not very crisp, the pizza wasn't super hot and the toppings were pretty skimpy for the price. We got the supreme which is: Pepperoni, sausage, mushroom-we left them off because I don't like them, green pepper, onion and olive and cost $29. Overall if I went back I would try an individual slice to see how that stacks up. This place is pretty out of the way for me and I am unlikely to be in the area. read more

Buon pomeriggio! There's no parking lot so you have to have luck on your side with street parking! It's very close to Torrey Pines and next to Roberto's and Bird rock! We feasted on fried calamari, brussel sprouts, pizza w/ meat, flatbread w/ hot honey, chicken fettuccini, steak, salmon, tiramisu and chocolate cake a la mode (not all items pictured). There was way too much food, the price was a bargain, and it was better quality vs Maggianos or Buca Di Beppo. Regarding the service, it was on point. We had a dedicated team that kept the food & drink coming all night long. The team was super friendly and attentive. They made us feel like we were at home. I would definitely return to DE for a big family gathering, or a small intimate get together. There are plenty of tables of 2 & 4 inside, and the food & service are excellent.

Which is what brought us to Beeside Balcony in Del Mar during the 1st SDRW of 2026. We had Saturday night reservations & got into town early with some time to kill. We found nearby street parking fairly easily. The hostess was able to quickly accommodate us with a table despite our early arrival. Indoor dining space is minimal. But as an upstairs restaurant with "Balcony" literally in its name, the outdoor patio is where you want to be. Our server was a inconsistent on attentiveness & was slow to warm up, though she was quite personable later in the meal. Along with all of the al fresco charm dining on the balcony offered, there was also a curious & less desirable element of the ambiance. During our meal, someone went around shooting pics/ videos for social media. It felt distracting & intrusive. While the SDRW menu was what brought us here, we opted for the Chef's menu after looking over all the options. I ordered the Salmon Croquette/ Denver Steak/ Churros. She ordered Cioppino Soup/ Barramundi/ S'More Cake. Although the pacing of our courses from the kitchen was uneven, most of what we had was good to great to wonderful. Sharing tastes of our dishes with each other, the 1 egregious miss for me was the Cioppino Soup. The seafood in it was good. But that broth was not. Aside from that, the Salmon Croquette & the Barramundi were delicious. The Denver Steak was a revelation. I'd never heard of this cut before, so I looked it up. Truly, a bang for the buck all star. & prepared perfectly here with a fantastic chimichurri. For our desserts, my Churros were good but not anything to get particularly excited about. Now, on the other hand, that S'More Cake? Wow. insanely indulgent with an ooey-gooey center. I honestly can't think of a better way to end a meal. Overall, the ambiance, service, & food all had highs & lows. Collectively, though, the sum total of the experience was pleasant enough that I would be interested in coming back. My threshold for 4 stars is if I'd come back. So, 4 stars it is.

The HH runs until 5:30 in the restaurant, 7 at the bar, and the happy hour menu has a more extensive selection of food and cocktails than most places. Decor is old school Rat Pack style with lively music playing throughout the place. Their drinks and food were a mixed bag, but mostly disappointing. Pros: Cocktails there are a respectable size. Not huge, but on the generous side. Mussels and clams are fresh and cooked properly, and therefore tender. I had asked that the toast served with them be dry with no oil. Although our server assured me that they never put anything on the toast, it arrived with a slight slathering of something on it. The broth that the shellfish is flavorful and light. A delightful dish. Also, blue cheese stuffed olives are available as a martini garnish, an item not found everywhere. Cons: My husband ordered a "Vodka martini, extra dry, with just a whisper of vermouth". It arrived looking like a glass of golden colored liquid, so he sent it back telling the sever that it contained much too much vermouth. The second one was better, but still too much vermouth and so to sweet. My Negroni, up arrived with a large ice cube in it. The mini lasagna has shrunk to micro size. It's about 1/3 the size of the mini I remember from some years ago. I know well that prices have increased everywhere, but this is extreme even so.

I stopped by Buenasera Pizza off Carmel Valley Road for the first time, and I'm so glad I did! The pizza was fantastic--perfectly thin, with a crispy crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. The staff was super friendly, and even though it was my first visit, they made me feel right at home. The casual, cozy vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. On a clear day, the views are amazing! I tried the chorizo pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to come back and try more from their menu! read more
