We noticed that they had a workshop area and spontaneously decided to sign up for the candle making class later that day. There were spots available, so we were able to enroll on the spot. You can also sign up for the workshop online on their website. We came back a little later for the workshop, and everything we needed to make our candle was provided. The owner, Lindsay was absolutely wonderful! Her instructions were clear, and she really made the process fun! I also appreciated that she came over to check on each of us and provide some insight/suggestions on our scent combinations. As a newbie to candle making, this was so appreciated! She also answered any questions I had regarding the process, as well as provided helpful tips on how to best burn my new candle! I love that they have a wide variety of different jars and scents to choose from. It was so much fun picking out my scent combination. They change out their scents, so there's always something new to discover! Since we were one of the later workshops in the day, we left our candle at the shop overnight to cure. We were able to pick it up the next day and bring it home! We picked up a couple of other things from the shop and had a nice chat with Lindsay and her husband, Jason, who were so kind and fun to talk to! We also found out that Candle Bar 111 does candle refill days, so we'll definitely have to come back and do that sometime!

MANY. ITEMS. I walked in and let the staff know about the massive return. They were so kind and helpful, immediately getting to work! I had no idea which item went to which order number, as there were so many duplicates, and the staff figured all of it out for me! There were two gals helping me specifically (luckily the store wasn't busy) but I only remember one of their names (Ximena, I think?). Both were super pleasant, sweet, and worked really hard to get everything right for me! I was so grateful for their help. This location is lucky to have them!

I know the names and MY favorite scents of all the choices she offers now! I have used Yankee and Woodwick brands but even those expensive, mass made brands can't compete with Jojo's candles. She goes above and beyond for her customers. I like the tealights b/c I can put them different places around my apartment so the scents fill the whole space. As a matter of fact, when I told the cashier that I was excited about the rare find, he walked away from me to bring me back the bike plate with my name on it. I squealed in excitement and he asked, "Would you like the bike plate too?" This tells me he wasn't selling me the product, he wanted to SHOW me another product with my namesake. Positive customer experience, the staff knows their products and store, and UCSB (University of California, Santa Barbara) clothes. I checked every souvenir shop from top (away from the beach) of State Street down to 'Only in Santa Barbara' (towards the beach) searching for a Santa Barbara ornament that best represented my vacation.
