I have no idea why Luxe Sweets chooses to only deliver and not have a storefront! The items are…read morecertainly of high enough quality as to not necessitate running on a delivery-only basis. Alas, I don't have a business mind, so I'll leave logistics up to them. I got mine at Royal Blue Grocery. Too often you find blueberry muffins to have either a Betty Crocker uniformity, the kind boasting a smooth, almost oily mouthfeel without lumps. Surely, surely, this goes down the hatch with the greatest of ease. But there is no hand-crafted character to these factory-packaged, processed, and homogenized confectionary goods. Enough digression. The blueberry one was chock full of the antioxidant-laden little guys. It was a little on the soggy side, but you could tell that it was whipped up from scratch, observable in the fact that all the what-the-little-girl-from-Willy Wonka-turned-into's having fallen to the bottom of the bottom+muffin top muffins circa Seinfeld. Good mix of moistness and crumbly struesel top overall. Equally delightful, but standard, was the triple chocolate cookie. I loved the ingredients list, as I didn't see sugar on the list of minimal ingredients (about 10, total! woohoo, unprocessed!) until the 7th or 8th item. It was crisp, lacking a sort of chewy moist touch. Great chocolate nuances, though. All in all, Luxe cranks out some fine baked goods. I still prefer their excellent, albeit expensive French cookie sandwiches i.e. macarons. Get their other stuff where you can, as they actually have a storefront for the oddly colored confectionery delicacies.

Brooke not only took the order but she assured me that I wasn't bothering her with my last minute order and even threw in some extra goodies at no cost only because I assume she is amazing I was kept informed the whole process from the time she bought everything she needed for my order to the confirmation that my husband picked up and was on his way home with my amazing order. They had a ton of weirder flavors for people that like spicy snow cones but that's not my thing. The ice was on the crunchier side and they use the right amount of syrup. Their medium was $3 which a little more expensive that I'm used to paying but not outrageous. My roommate had watermelon with cream. Their cream is actually just condensed milk and they use a ton of it. I had blue coconut and it was good. The sugar crash afterwards hit me hard and fast though.

Because I'm on a "no sugar diet" right now, I had a Pina Colada snow cone with splenda. I know...with poison. I think I'll be fine but the funny thing is, I usually crash around 5:00 p.m. and I had tons of energy afterwards. Is it Kelly S.'s personality? Because that girl is bubbly. In a very good way. Like champagne. I must have vampired some of that bubbliness from her brain. The Cherry snow cone I had last week was so much better but the company today was excellent!
