I purchased a jump seat for our 2016 Chrysler Town and Country van from CSO radio in July 2020. The…read moretotal cost including shipping was $685. The seat shipped quickly and we had it installed by a local auto conversion company. If you live in the Lakewood, NJ area, CSO will install the seat for $775 (seat and install). The jump seat isn't perfect. The main drawback is that once installed, the captains chairs no longer tilt forward to increase access to the back row. I understood when I bought the jump seat that we would be giving up the option for stow and go, but I didn't realize the captains chairs wouldn't flip up at all. The back rest does fold forward, but the seat does not flip up like it used to. It's a pretty tight fit to squeeze through to the back row, but thankfully all my kids are pretty little and so far this hasn't been a big problem. The second issue is the jump seat backrest. While the bottom seat portion fits perfectly flush with the two captains chairs, the backrest is significantly narrower than the space between the two chairs, creating gaps on either side. I don't understand why they designed the backrest to be so narrow, but maybe it has something to do with how it fits into other vehicles (since the seat is not specifically designed for the town and country). More importantly, the narrow backrest has a certain flimsiness to it that I find concerning. We have a rear facing car seat base buckled into it, so it doesn't matter right now, but without a rear facing seat I would hesitate to put a child there. It just doesn't seem safe. We initially tried putting one of our forward facing car seats there and while the lap belt made it feel secure on bottom, I'm not convinced the back rest of the jump seat would provide enough resistance in the event of a crash. The third problem is that the lap belt arrived about 3ft longer than it should have been. It's possible that this is an install issue, but our installer said he followed the directions exactly and it resulted in a lap belt that would only tighten enough to accommodate a 400lb male. We had to pay to get the lap belt cut and re-sown. All that said, the jump seat is a pretty low cost solution to the problem of outgrowing our minivan. With the arrival of our 6th child, we thought we would have to purchase a new van - either an 8 seater minivan or a larger passenger van. Even if we bought a used 8 seater minivan, the taxes alone on the purchase would come out to more than we spent on this jump seat. For around $1000 including install, we purchased the opportunity to keep the minivan we already have for at least the next 18mo to 2 years, if not longer. Seems worth it to me!

Dennis went out of his way to fit me in the schedule. Very much appreciated the great service today!read more

After searching around Monmouth and Ocean County for a reputable car audio installer, I happened…read moreupon Max Box Max Motion Stereo. After speaking with the owners for 10 minutes, I knew I was in the right place and I did not need to search on. I was most impressed with their knowledge since I am no stranger to car audio myself. They spent over an hour going over every detail and gave me all options available to create my new system. Making sure I was going to be completely satisfied was their goal from the beginning. They did not rush me into choices and did not have that same mentality as 99% of other shops, get them in and make a quick buck. The products are high quality and with anything else in the world the more you spend the happier you will be with the results, but they really made sure that all components would integrate well with each other and gave me many choices along the way. My car was not even two weeks old yet and the installation was precautious, detailed, and professional. My sound system sounds amazing and everyone who has heard it has been impressed. There are a lot of bad shops out there and hacks who destroy your vehicle in the process. Take my advice on this one. If you are looking for a professional install of quality products sold to you in a meticulous, thought out process, then Max Box is for you. I will most definitely be recommending Max Box to friends and family. Great Job! I recently had my second vehicle outfitted by Max Box. As if it could not have gotten and better from my first experience. If you are looking for a sound system, you do not want to go anywhere else. They do not try to sell you anything you dont need and not only an A+ installer, he also knows about phasing speakers and electric. Unbelievable knowledge. I know I wrote a lot on the last review but I just want to let you know there are a lot of unprofessional places around to get a sound system. Cheap equipment and horrible installers just trying to make a quick buck. If you are in need of a sound system or just looking to upgrade, rest assure you will be 1000% satisfied with the results. There are so many ways they go above and beyond on the install where other shops dont ground properly, phase speakers properly and use the cheapest wires they can install. I am guaranteeing you will be satisfied with everything about Max Box. You most definately do not want to go anywhere else. Another Great Job!

I came in to Maxbox car audio from reading some of the Google/Yelp Reviews. Other car audio stores…read morein the area have mostly bad reviews for install and service. I wanted to have my brand new 2019 Acura TLX retrofitted with an after market system. I installed a sub box, added 2 amplifiers, replaced 10 speakers and added 8 tweeters to my stock head unit. Jim the owner was the most professional and knowledgeable car audio technician I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with many over the years. He asked me what I wanted out of my system and personal preferences for sound and did not try to push any products on me. Gave me all of my options for my price range and asked me which route I wanted to go. If you are not an expert, I would let Jim recommend a setup or two since he has been doing this for many, many years. My system is close to competition sound. It is extremely loud crisp and clear with the amp gains set to a minimum. I could not be happier with what I received and at least 10 others are blown away with my system saying it was the best they ever heard. I have to honestly say that the Google reviews are 100% accurate on all accounts. I usually do not write reviews but I felt compelled to since Jim at Maxbox is worth my time and it will be worth your time and money to go here first before getting the run around at the other local stores. Besides everything I mentioned already, the part that was most important to me was the installation. Having a brand new car that is outfitted with a large amount of tech already, I did not want to have a sub par installation damaging any of my car or existing electronics. Jim was so precarious with removal of my car's parts to run wires, placement of my equipment, and using the best grounding wires (in the right location) and the addition of fuses between speakers and amps which is only done by experts for competition systems. If you take the time to read my review, you will not be disappointed regardless of your car audio needs. I cant say enough about Jim and the most reputable business he operates. This is the only place in NJ to go to regardless how far you live from his store. You dont upgrade car audio to often and when you do, you want it done right. Thank you Jim, I will be recommending many others in my social circles to your location!

The quality of the work performed at Jack's was superb, My vehicle was completed and returned to me ahead of schedule, and in perfect condition. It was spotless, inside and out. Good customer service is a key factor during these stressful situations. I was fortunate to have Kevin Wickham assigned as the estimator, for the work that was needed on my vehicle. Kevin made for a truly great experience. He provided superior customer service in a professional and courteous manner, and kept me apprised of the status of the repair, all through the process. Kudos to Kevin; he is definitely an asset to your business. I will certainly recommend Kevin and Jack's Body Shop to anyone needing your services.

My experience with Jack's was less than stellar. My 2025 Tesla sat at their shop for MANY weeks,…read morewith no forward motion, and NO updates, unless I called them. They blame Tesla supply chain issues. Ok, maybe. Called on the day my car was supposed to be ready, and was literally told my car is being detailed at the moment, and would be good to go, right on time. Swell. I'm an airline pilot and I could not make their early closing time, as it was a Friday, and they close early. Ok, fine. That's on me, not them. The problem arose when I paid for the balance owed over the phone with a credit card, and made arrangements for them to lock the vehicle outside in the lot. I didn't need the specific key they had, as Teslas can be completely operated by the Tesla App. I arrived, the car is indeed parked outside, left completely unlocked with the original Tesla keycard sitting on top of my final bill, for anyone in the world to walk by and see, or worse, steal. Absolutely nothing would have prevented it. Nothing. So whatever, it wasn't stolen, no biggie...I guess. It gets worse. Much worse. So so when I arrive to pick up my car, there was a Tesla identical to mine that was sitting a far away is off and didn't move the entire time. I was evaluating the condition of my vehicle. Turned out this gentleman identified himself as one of the managers there, and was I happy with the results. I was not, and showed him exactly why I was not. He agreed the car was in horrific shape for customer delivery, and to his credit offered the sun and the moon to make it right. I was too heated then to really come to any terms. Back to the car......The vehicle was in horrific condition. There was body filler (I'm guessing) dust everywhere inside the car outside the car on the windows on the inside on the windows on the outside. It should be noted my cars are kept pristine, garaged, always. I dropped it off pristine, minus the body damage. To add insult to injury, I have a 4K dashcam installed in that vehicle that records through 4 different cameras, audio and visually. Some employee decided to remove the interior camera from my windshield resulting to damage to my LEGALLY installed front window tint. They also unplugged the other cameras, sadly for them, not before I have beautiful 4K footage of the offending event. What they didn't realize is that was no ordinary dashcam. This dashcams live streams to the "cloud". It's designed so that anyone whoever damages your car couldn't just throw away the evidence. It works great. The manager was informed and shown EVERYTHING I claim here. I have lots of photos and videos, which is why this manager approached me in the first place watching me take all of them before I moved the car.So that's plenty enough said. Let me just say in summation that I've been contacted since by many "different" managers....so they have offered heaven and earth over the phone and Facebook messenger. Let me be crystal clear on that. I however that the lack of integrity, the outright lies told to me by employees, precludes me from ever returning there. Maybe if their ONE so-called "Tesla Expert" (he's not) had been the offender that lied to me personally. That told me car was being detailed. Might even be I have video of such expert removing dashcam cameras and ruining a $500 piece of tint film. Never before. Most certainly never again. Integrity is a rare thing nowadays, professing it means nothing.
