We had a great experience with Bump N Play over the weekend for my son's 10th Birthday! Right from the start Pedro was quick to answer questions and emails. The day of the party Pedro and his helper were right on time, even a few minutes early to set up. Pedro was super friendly to me and the kids. Pedro lead a bunch of games, kept a good eye on the kids while they got used to the bubble balls and made sure the kids enjoyed themselves. The game is fun and these guys are AWESOME! Pedro is delightful to work with and communication is easy. They have 2 different sizes; one for smaller people and another for adults. I do have a helpful tip - do your group a favor and get your waivers filled out BEFORE your event. It's a simple process to fill them out, but they must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. read more

We had a great time with Bump N Play! We had them on our campus for a Welcome Week event and the students really loved it!

While the bubble makes one think that the game is going to be safe, it is not. First, the bubble is very restrictive, blocks the players' field of vision, and restricts breathing. Second, obviously the bubble makes it very difficult for a person to stand back up after being knocked down. Third, players cannot hear instructions or safety guidelines once ensconced in the bubble, nor can those supervising hear players' objections, requests for assistance, or cries of pain. Fourth, the bubble protects the upper torso and head, but it does little to protect lower extremities. Most of the time that a player falls inside the bubble, he or she will be falling with some velocity onto his or her lower extremities. The bubble adds a good deal of weight to the player and destabilizes the player, so the force required to knock the player down is reduced but the force with which he or she falls is increased dramatically. Expect twisted ankles, bruised knees and hips, and crying children if you rent this for your party. Finally, if you do decide that it just looks like too much fun or if you cannot talk your child out of trying it, be sure that you are providing extra safety features. Play on a soft or spongy surface like a mat or a grassy field. Clearly mark parameters of the playing area with brightly colored markings on the floor. Have plenty of adult supervision around to make sure that players are not being overly aggressive by hitting their own teammates, hitting opponents from behind, or targeting opponents' lower extremities. Make sure that you are watching for signs of distress or injury so that you can rescue a child out of the bubble if need be. My children did this at a public event, and we were appalled at the lack of care shown both by Bump n Play employees and by the staff of the Delaware 87ers. There are rules and precautions for bubble soccer. The Bump n Play employees don't even seem to be aware of them. My children both ended up in tears, and one ended up with several injuries after playing on the court at half time. These are kids who play sports in leagues and who frequent trampoline parks for rousing games of dodgeball, so they are not light weights or wimps. I do not recommend this product or this company. read more
