Let me get to the point: Whatever minor complaints you see from the other reviews, they most likely have no idea how good they've got it. Tutor Time of Brooklyn is probably the best day/child care in NYC. Prior to us moving, my wife and I have toured DOZENS of day/childcare facilities and none of them come close to having the quality service and care that this place has. From what I've seen, this place has the most amenities. Virtually everything is provided for like diapers. If you've visited any other childcare centers you'd know that's not common. Whenever my daughter loses something in class, the teachers and assistants take initiative and SCOUR the school to find it for us, even if it's something as insignificant as a hair clip. They'd always make sure our daughter had a clean diaper before we take her home. I cannot stress enough how caring and attentive they are - and this includes the director Stephanie. Stephanie's office is always open to children and parents. Any inquiries or issues you have, she resolves them right away. You'll sometimes find her in the classrooms taking care of the kids because she's not above that. And good luck finding another day/childcare in NY that gives parents webcam access. It's virtually non-existent! I had told the staff prior to leaving that my wife and I will probably miss this place more than our daughter. The school that we've had to settle with at the moment is nowhere near as good as this place.

The best part is that they do not operate the place in a rigid fashion, and make the whole experience comfortable for the parents as well. While larger facilities might have a few perks, the smaller, more intimate caregiving space seems much better for our daughter and the other kids at Dale's. They have the skills and intimate group size to care for the kids and teach them things that we do not have the bandwidth or know-how to teach at home. After a couple of short months, our daughter was speaking to us in rudimentary sign language that she wanted more food, was all done, wanted milk, etc. This communication meant that she wasn't getting frustrated that we were unable to read her cues, and we could be better caregivers and parents. She loves it there! She gets so excited to go to school, and the communication from everyone at Dale's is fantastic. They teach her colors and shapes and go on field trips to the children's museum and park. I cannot recommend them enough. If you want your child to be in a caring, safe, and fun environment, go to Dale's!

We have been SO happy with everything about our experience at TLE. As a family we have experienced 4 different age level classrooms and therefore had a number of different teachers and have loved each one. We have honestly loved every one. The teachers are all so engaged and loving and I really trust my kids are happy and in good hands each day. My oldest talks constantly about her teachers and my youngest will jump out of our arms each morning to see her teacher. They offer so many activities to keep the kids engaged, learning and having fun -- lots of reading and singing, pretend play, arts and crafts, science activities as they get older. Even my little one does multiple art projects a week in the infant room. The classrooms are big, bright, and clean. Plus there are a few additional spaces in the school (indoor playground) and another big play room that the kids all visit weekly. The kids also go outside daily if weather allows. Pre-covid they all went to the playground but now they go for neighborhood walks. I also really appreciate the communication from the teachers and the school administrators. The teachers post photos and notes all day long and are always open to questions and communication from parents. Reena (Owner) and Danyele (Educational Director) communicate often via email and also frequently set up zoom calls to be able to answer parents questions or allow the space for teachers and parents to connect. They have been so transparent and communicative all year as we navigate Covid together. Health and Safety is also a top priority at the school. Teachers are all in masks, there is no cross over between classrooms so kids interact with the same small group of kids and teachers everyday, and there are a number of other practices in place (indoor only shoes, drop off and pick up at the door, temp checks, lots of cleaning and hand washing, rotation of shared spaces like the indoor playground to allow time to clean and sanitize, etc. Overall we have been so happy with our experience at the school and are grateful for the community its connected us to.

The teachers are very nice, always giving a feedback, and a ratio is 1 teacher to 3-4 kids. This is our first daycare and I was scared that I would be nervous while my kid is away. Turned out I am not :) Feeling safe. One other topic which was important to me is food, I'm not a fan of those basic school lunches served in a single use plastic, neither of lunches taken from home (small kids always want food from the other plate). In this place parents themselves give lunches to the whole group in an order (so not that often), the rule is "a main, a veggie and a fruit". I like that system, cause parents always want the best for their kids, so there is always some good stuff, fresh fruit and veggies. I would certainly recommend this place to anybody who is sharing the same values!

When we first selected Seedlings for my oldest we looked into pretty much every option in the neighborhood. We were not just looking for childcare, but an environment that would be nurturing and stimulating. I come from a family of educators and my standards on this front are pretty high. I have been blown away by how they bring to life the learning through play model with literacy, socialization, science, art and music. My kids absolutely love the school and their teachers and most important they have and are developing a love learning. Seedlings teachers and the directors are so warm - they clearly adore the children. I have not seen a single program that does a better job of communicating with parents. I love knowing what they do in school, but it is more than just nice, it allows me to engage with my daughter on what is going on in school. Last, I have three very different children. I continue to be so impressed with their ability to treat child as an individual to bring out their best. One of the best decisions I have ever made for my children.

We always felt assured that their top priority was the health, safety, and well-being of all of their students, and they spent a lot of time helping with the kids' social development, which was so incredibly important, especially after lengths of social isolation during the pandemic. We loved the community feeling of Seedlings, and to this day (our daughter is now 7), some of our closest friends are parents of our daughter's Seedlings classmates - we still keep in touch with some who have moved back to the UK and Europe! The fact that Seedlings prioritizes age-appropriate learning and understands the importance of play in terms of learning and development was key to us. Each day was filled with reading, art, music, play, science/nature, and typically a new experience or activity. The outdoor space was such a nice addition to the kids' experience, and knowing they had time to play and learn outdoors each day (weather permitting) was so important. Our daughter grew in leaps and bounds during her time at Seedlings, and was well-prepared to enter Kindergarten. We really appreciated the small class sizes, and the personalized attention Tracy and the rest of the staff gives to each and every child. To this day, our 7-year-old comes back to "read aloud" to the current Seedlings cohort from time to time, and is always welcomed with open arms by all. Tracy and the staff are invested in her growth, even now, years later, and have always supported her journey of overcoming her initial social anxiety post-pandemic and becoming more independent and confident. Once you become a part of the Seedlings family, you are always welcomed and celebrated, which is an incredible gift for both the Seedlings student and the entire family - especially in today's busy times. Our son spent the first 6 months at Prospect Ave. location and then to St. Johns (because it was closer to our home). Here's the short version of why PKA is GREAT! - Great leadership - Josie and Quinn are awesome! They're always available for feedback and/or concerns, they love the kids, and run a tight ship (rules, curriculum, etc.) that works. - The teachers - Both locations have amazing teachers who are loving, kind, great teachers, and help our Gabriel and other kids LEARN. - The extras - they'll bring in Brian who plays guitar and the kids sing along, take field trips, do yoga (really), send photos to the parents, balance art/reading/play time/napping, etc. - They CARE! I'm new to this. First kid, etc. On several occasions I'd ask Josie or Quinn or the teachers for suggestions, tips, etc. and they would always solid, caring advice with encouragement. - I can RELAX - leaving your kid with somebody else is scary. You can't help but worry...is he okay? Are the teachers watching him? Taking care of him? Teaching him? I TRUST that he's okay and that he's being taken care of as if he's the child of Quinn, Josie, and/or any of the teachers. I KNOW he's safe, having fun, and learning. That means a whole bunch!!

Finding Young Risers was such a relief. The owner and teacher Gesenia is incredible with the kids and has obviously put a lot of heart into creating the space. It is comparable to any of the over priced park slope preschools. There are sensory stations, all the toys promote imaginative play, an open paint area. The kids are encouraged to explore the room and work on what their interests are. She also takes them out to the playground nearby on a walk rope twice a day. A lot of school the kids never see sunlight even. On top of everything...this amazing place is soooo affordable!!! I won't name the prices, but they are beyond reasonable!
