My son is enrolled in the Ladybug 3s preschool, and I cannot say enough positive things about his teachers and our experience. The kids are always doing engaging, educational, and fun activities. They also spend a lot of time playing outside and are extremely well taken care of. We've seen a huge uptick in our son's development and learning since he started at Ladybug! Erica is a wonderful head of programing who's always prompt to answer our questions and send us information. Another huge perk is Ladybug's camp offerings and willingness to stay open when other schools have snow closings etc. We are so happy to be part of the Ladybug family! read more

They have great programing and beautiful locations but the most important part is that I know my daughter is deeply loved by every staff member. I can't say enough great things about Ladybug's programming. We started our 2-year-old in their 2s program after having worked with a nanny from the time he was 5 months old. This was our son's first experience in a group childcare setting. The Ladybug team made the transition (something me and my husband were quite nervous about!) seamless. The staff and administrators are communicative, creative and absolutely lovely. Our son loves going to school each day, and he comes home with new experiences and vocabulary to share. Ladybug is the perfect mix of age-appropriate curriculum, fun & a nurturing environment; it's been the ideal setting as we navigate toddlerhood and all of the big feelings that come with it. It was important to our family to find a place for our son to develop both socially and academically. Our son will continue with one of Ladybug's preschool programs when he turns 3 next year. Our son went to summer camp here for 7 weeks and loved it! He was also registered to attend the preschool in the fall but we ended up moving out of the city. George worked with us on finding a replacement for our son's spot and refunded our initial payments. It is extremely rare to find a school in NYC that will be this flexible and we are grateful. Our son also went to the Ladybug daycare across the street when he was younger and it was clear that they really loved him. He also enjoyed the specialists that they had (karate, singing, yoga, etc). This is a great option for the neighborhood and we really miss it! read more

Ladybug is everything we had hoped a daycare would be - attentive, caring, communicative, clean and inviting, rich curriculum, loving caregivers, zen. Our 5 month old son smiles as soon as we arrive when the caregivers come out to greet him. When we pick him up in the evening, he is happy (and always in a clean diaper). Throughout the day, we get updates and photos in real time telling us how much he ate, when he took a nap and anything else we should know. We can always message the staff, and they respond immediately. As first time parents, the Ladybug team made this such a positive transition for us and our son. Everyday we get a photo of our baby smiling at Ladybug. It is the best feeling knowing your baby is in great hands. Daycare is for the kids, but Ladybug is for the parents too - we feel part of the Ladybug community. read more

We are new members to the ladybug family (daycare) and could not be more excited to be immersing our child into such a warm, social and encouraging atmosphere. We are transitioning from a full time nanny (who totally left us high and dry) - fortuitously leading us here. I decided I was a tad disheartened by the notion that my life running efficiently was centered on ONE individual being reliable. Plus our daughter was demonstrating the desire for more social activity- so I went on the "hunt" for the most suitable program. After speaking to and touring a few local daycares- hand over fist, we decided this one was the place for us. These people clearly love what they do... you can see it on the children's faces. All of the little tots are smiling, calm, and super inclusive to our little one. It melted me. They treat each child with so much love, run an AMAZING curriculum, offer a fully organic menu... it made leaving our 13 month old (for a few hours initially) lots easier. Not to mention our child is already potty training and they are patient and kind toward her preferences. AND send a doting mom pictures for the hours she was there. We are leaving her for a full day tomorrow ... daddy and I have nerves only bc of how much we love being with her all day, but when it comes to making our kid happy- we have no nerves about the sunshiney times she will have there. My daughter became a part of the ladybug family when she was 2. And we still consider them as family. We see George and Erika and all the other amazing ladybug staff in the neighborhood and it's always smiles and hellos and hugs. My daughter is currently attending the daycare and we are very happy with the school. She is excited to leave the house in the am, even grabbing her shoes before it's time to leave and pointing to her stroller. Upon arrival she walks right in and greats her teachers. I think the staff is top notch and is very caring for the toddlers and knowledgeable about their growth and development. I love the variety of activities my daughter is involved in and the communication between the daycare and parents is easy and efficient. I believe Ladybug shows the children the same type of love and affection they would show their own children and their philosophy as a family run daycare is what initially attracted me to the business. Our 2-year-old daughter is having the most wonderful year at Ladybug's new classroom for 2s, we can't say enough great things about it! She's our pandemic baby and had only ever been home with us and a nanny, so we were nervous about her starting school, but thought the structure and socializing would be good for her. She adapted quickly to the classroom and now bounds out of the house every day, so eager to go play with her friends! Teacher Ginny is wonderful and plans the most thoughtful activities for the kids, with stories, songs and lots of art, dramatic and sensory play. Our daughter loves all the specialists who visit weekly (Spanish, yoga, karate and music) and has grown into a bubbly, verbal, independent, happy kid this year! And co-teachers Eka and Nino are so loving and nurturing, they truly care for your kids. If we had to do this year over, we'd definitely pick Ladybug again! read more

Our son has been with LadyBug since he was 4 months old and we couldn't be more grateful to have found them! The caretakers clearly put their heart and soul into creating a loving, safe and enriching childcare environment, and my son is excited to go "to school" everyday. He clearly has a special bond with each caretaker and it's been heart warming to watch. He's also grown so much and we've seen his development progress everyday as he comes home saying / doing things that were not taught to him by us. We have been lucky enough to have secured spots for our two kids into the ladybug family for the past 6 years now. Our daughter entered at 6 months, made lifelong friends (even after families have moved away - we have reamined close bc the kids were so bonded), and was very well prepared for the more structured days in Kindergarten. Given this tremendous experience we enrolled our 2 year old (post pandemic) and he is also having a fantastic, enriching and overall very positive experience this year. All of the teachers and helpers are so caring, communicative, responsive and kind. They have a nice structure to the day (circletime, explorations, meals (included!)), and offer additional "specials" whihc include yoga/movement, karate, spanish/language, music (Mr. Simon is a fan favorite). I would highly recommend Ladybug to anyone in the area. It is by far the best daycare/preschool we know. read more

Nothing but great things to say about the preschool and the daycare. My daughter attended Ladybug Preschool when she was 3/4 from 2017-2018. Teacher Erica was so attentive and you can tell she's truly meant to be working with kids. When my daughter started pre-k she was way ahead on knowing her numbers and letters solely because of Ladybug (not because of me, I promise!). The owner, George, is on site most of the time and is keeping a close eye on the kids, the teachers and the special teachers. I once had to address a weird comment my daughter made about one of the special teachers and he took me very seriously, reviewed tapes of when he was there to make sure everything went well and got back to me with information. In the end, it turned out to be nothing, but the fact that George went out of his way to put me at ease meant a lot to me. I also recommend their daycare locations which both my children attended for 6 years in total. Lovely people to know and when you drop your kids off with them it feels like leaving your kids at grandma's house, not a "daycare" or "school". Highly recommend!! read more

Since my little one was 3 months old, the Ladybug staff has been like part of our family. They are caring, attentive partners to my child who is now 2 years old. Ladybug loves all their kids, provide a clean and healthy environment, including organic food! Quality, authentic experience and staff all-around and very fairly priced. My 2 year-old looks forward to go to daycare, which let's face it, what kid willingly skips to daycare when mommy and daddy need to go to work? They feel the Ladybug love. They offer toddler yoga, all kinds of art and crafts, educational content, dance, and there's a nice backyard for them to safely enjoy the sun. Our child is very in tune with their feelings, has been learning, and has amazing social skills. We think a big part of it is due to the Ladybug family. Another thing not to go unnoticed is how flexible they can be, they're super responsive when we have unique needs or when the baby is not feeling well. They're available when you need them. Our child is always well kept, clean and their ability to be detail oriented in all aspects without feeling uptight is an amazing balance many daycare centers miss the mark on. Overall a great daycare and they are about to open a preschool which we plan to tranisition to once our toddler is old enough. read more

Our daughter started at Ladybug when was 3 months old. It is always hard for first-time parents to leave their newborn at daycare, but they made it as smooth and easy as possible. My daughter, who is now 3.5 yrs, attended this school from July 2016 til mid 2017. She loved this school from the first day. Teachers Erica and Lena are supportive, very warm and educational.
