I was his neighbor 2 years ago and all he did was complain about EVERYTHING. It's so funny that i find a review of his complaining about tipping. The owner of this place Tree of life is so kind... He would never prompt a customer for a tip. Nonetheless 20 percent as Jacob says lol I think he's salty because he can't get his 7 o anymore. I think Jacob is a bad Apple and shouldn't be allowed to review on yelp. Anyway, hopefully kratom is available for sale in the future because i definitely like this store and will be back in a few weeks for a refill. Thanks for reading!

TW: Sexual Harassment I was so excited to discover this…read moreplace, as I need herbs on an ongoing basis for my business. It seemed cool and not of this time when I went in and saw all the jars and met the man who owns the shop. He gave me the herbs I needed and started commenting on my looks, saying he likes a woman like me. I was uncomfortable and wouldn't go back, but it got worse when he kept asking for a hug, to which I declined. Then he came out from behind the register area and tried to hug me. I pushed him off of me various times and felt super unsafe and just wanted to get out of there, so I booked it and never went back. I see many other reviews saying he's so cool and nice. I guess I was just his type. Gross. It's really sad because herb shops are hard to come by in San Diego, but thankfully Datura in North Park is a reliable apothecary with kind/ non-rapey staff to boot. So I get all my stuff there now.

Step inside and you'll see a vast array of labeled, empty glass jars. The shop owner is kind, knowledgeable and generous. He explained that he keeps his products sealed in the back to retain freshness, which I really appreciated. Though he was out of Arnica, I decided to purchase other items including a toothpaste powder that he recommended for tooth pain. I noted how lovely everything smelled and mentioned lavender was a favorite of mine. He disappeared in the back and then reappeared with a large bag of the most fragrant lavender I've ever smelled. It was from Provence! He offered me a sample to take home and I happily accepted. It continues to smell like lavender in my kitchen. No doubt I'll be back to support this local gem. Tip: this is a cash only vendor; stop by the ATM ahead of time.

She's rude, moody, and makes customers feel like they're doing something wrong just by standing there to buy. No respect, no manners, no basic understanding of how to treat people. On top of that, some of the products you sell are spoiled or expired. That's not a small mistake, that's straight-up negligence and disgusting, especially for a store selling food. With this kind of attitude and this level of carelessness, don't be surprised when people stop coming and start warning others about your store.

Well, this last trip to Sprouts was different, as I was checking out this guy, David, was bagging my items and talking with me and the cashier. There was a sample of apple something or another sitting there for me to tryout. I am not really an apple kinda guy, I prefer pumpkin. I make a mention of that and thIS DUDE!!! So I was hesitant to try this therapy out. I have a very old knee injury to my left knee. It has been twice the size of my right knee for 24 years. My sports injury doctor really was at a loss, so he sent me to see Melanie and told me she was fabulous. I trust this man, so I called and made an appointment. I came for my first appointment and Melanie made me feel very comfortable and at ease with everything. She explained what she was going to do and doing every step of the way. I stared at the ceiling because I didn't want to watch the needles going in. I didn't even feel the first couple and barely felt the 3rd, after that it was very easy. After my first session I was very relaxed, so relaxed that I wanted to take a nap. I never nap. She explained to me that since this injury was so old, it was going to take a while and several sessions to see a difference. What I noticed after the first session was an immediate lessening of pain. What I noticed after a few sessions was that my swelling had started to go down. It's amazing, I can actually wear high heels again, and I have not been able to in a long long time. On one of my sessions I came in and my neck was painful, so I laid face down and had my neck worked on too, that was awesome. I'm a long way from healed, but I am way ahead of where I was just a month ago. I really look forward to my sessions and time with Melanie. She and I have the most amazing deep conversations. I can't stress enough how much this alternative therapy can really help so many conditions.
