Great shop and great service. Taylorr, Nicole and Alex are so very wholesome and holds the shop down very well.

Staff (I think it was Taylor I spoke to) was really friendly, and answered all of my questions. The product is great. I just wish I could find loose leaf (non-powdered) kratom more easily, but I understand that most people prefer the powdered form. Thanks Bumble Bee. read more

The man working the front desk was friendly. Very knowledgeable about kratom. I had never tried kratom before and had lots of questions. Will definitely be back to try other types of kratom they offer. read more

Long term 'kratomite' here ...the product itself is consistently amazing here , up there with the best kratom shops I've ever visited , and would say based on the last couple years , that it edges out the local competition in the quality/price department , any day of the week imo . In addition , have noticed the employees here are A. Full time /permanent staff , hence respite know their ish' , and B. They're all much easier to strike a conversation with than competing stores , imo.. I forget the dudes name ,but Alex and Nikki are both sweethearts and fun to converse with . always seem to leave here with a better vibe as well as a bit more head full of knowledge ! So unless you've really got a hankerin' for some kava to complete the set (??) then I would heartily recommend making ' bumble bee botanicals ' your first stop , and ASAP! read more

The product is amazing, lots of different options for all sorts of needs! Workers are very helpful in guiding you to what you may need.

This isn't a tobacco shop. It's a kratom shop. The employees are wonderful and the store is lovely- but the actual substance is EXTREMELY addictive. I went there for a legitimate medical condition and the kind employee told me it was as addictive as coffee. This is a blatant lie. Kratom acts as an opiate and is easy to get hooked on and unbelievably hard to get off of. Please be thoughtful about using it. read more

I've been coming to this shop for a couple years and have always had an awesome experience. Nicky is a sweetheart and really all the staff makes you feel more like a friend then a customer. The Kratom is good quality and a fair price. This is the OG shop in San Diego and the only one I will be going too, despite the desperate pleas of the shop that stupidly opened next door. Not the smartest business move, let's just say. Kratom helped me quit drinking a year ago and has had multiple other benefits as I know it's done for others! Make sure to come try this place out you won't be let down. read more

I came here because I wanted try Kratom for the first time since 2019, from a safe place and in order to avoid getting sick from Kratom again, a privilege I was willing to pay for. So I went away from the shady smoke-shops and towards a more controlled and regulated option - what looked to be a healthy botanical option. I bought $15 and 3 varieties of capsules in order to get a good sampling before I bought the powder-form. I was even prepared to give a good review and return after I found their product to be effective. The first day I took the Kratom, I felt a nice slight energy and euphoria. Then I began to feel congested, I took a second pill the next day and proceeded to feel more sick than I've been in over a year, my nose was running, my head throbbing, my stool was oddly colored, my stomach hurt, I felt fatigued, like I was being colonized by bacteria. I am almost certain that I have had Salmonella poisoning for the last week, which I am only now recovering from. I am confident that if this product were tested, it would come up positive for Salmonella in all nearly all the capsules I purchased. Additionally, since this company purports to be cGMP sourced, it is probably highly likely that they are misrepresenting their heavy metal levels as well. This is beyond disrespectful to waste a good portion of my week bedridden because a company is cutting corners on testing, and not even advising capsule purchasers to cook-off Salmonella that is very likely in their product. I still have unopened merchandise because I am considering getting it tested for the above mentioned Salmonella and heavy metals - a kit of 10 petri dishes for Salmonella is $28 for a brand called HardyCHROM, and that may be worth it. I may never use Kratom again, and if I do, it will be from American growers who use clean water, harvest it with sanitary methods, and store and package in safe ways. To those considering this store, please be advised; grow your own Kratom, or buy it from American growers - not overseas in South East Asia, where the FDA or U.S. Agricultural Laws cannot regulate or reach. read more

This shop is really nice! Very clean, knowledgeable staff, and a lot of variety in options! Out of all the kratom shops in town, this one is by far the best in regards to quality of product, knowledge of product, and overall ambiance. I'll most definitely be coming back! read more

I've been coming here for years and will always continue :) I've become friends with the staff so it's an enjoyable visit in addition to helping me ease my fibromyalgia pain!! Lots of stars. Nicky is my girl & I love taylor too read more

I always love coming here because the vibes are always immaculate. I stop in for what should be a 5 minute errand and stay for 30 because Matt (the tall guy) and I will get into awesome conversations with depth, the other customers will join in as they come and go and it's such a welcoming vibe. The customer service is top notch. Matt and Nicole are knowledgeable but personable and show a deep interest in every customer that walks through that door, new or regular. The product is also top tier and their quality is incredible and most important CONSISTENT in that quality because of their supply chain being direct, short and personal with two vendors they trust. The cash only thing isn't a deference. I'd rather stop at the bank on the way and get that top shelf customer experience and top shelf quality. They have some really good deals as well with their collection and the rewards system has really helped me in a pinch a few times. Personal Fav's and Recs (by vein color) -Red Bali for night pain -Red Maeng Da for my chronic pain during the day/evening as it's not as sedative but great for pain -Gold Bali for social events as it's the best one for my personal anxiety - Green Maeng Da for my depression (seriously it's been a life saver during this unusually gloomy and rainy SD winter) -Not as versed on the whites but have tried the Thai and it got my day going but without the jitters of caffeine overload. -Some awesome extracts as well. Black diamond is my go to for breakthrough pain. They've got everything you're looking for, and Matt and Nikki will be able to guide you through the options clearly to help you find what's best for you. I'm not one to talk down on anybody else as I think the quality speaks for itself, but having tried all of the surrounding spots Bumble Bee Botanicals has earned my loyalty. Not sure why it won't let me post a picture after v despite my email being verified? read more

Alex was super informative on all questions asked super amazing service can't wait to return!!

Wonderful spot for Kratom users new and old. Menu is always up-to-date and product is superb! Test results for batches are always available which puts me at ease when trying to find a specific strain or effect. read more

The workers made me feel very uncomfortable causing me to leave, I'm not going to support a store that makes me feel that way.

Awesome customer service! I was recently diagnosed with Lupus and researching alternatives for symptoms. Kratom fit the bill according to Reddit users suffering from autoimmune symptoms like Lupus. Matt and Alex were very patient and spent an hour answering a lot of questions regarding product quality, different strains, etc. They even provided a lab analysis for their products. read more

Need to kratom and really enjoying it. A friend told me about bumble bee and I decided to give it a shot. Alex was really helpful and answered all my questions, and I had a lot. He was patient and very knowledgeable about all the strains. I am loving the Red Bentuangie. This is def the go to place for all your kratom needs! read more

This is still the best and ORIGINAL Kratom shop in San Diego. There may be some new shops close by but Bumble Bee is still #1. Everyone who works here is always pushing to learn new things about Kratom and how it can be used as a medicine. There are plenty of times where I swing by and the employees are taking the time to make new customers feel welcome and confident in what they are buying. They are also great at recommending certain strains for all kinds of different ailments. If you are looking to try Kratom for the first time, this is THE place to go. This places doesn't create customers for life, they create friends for life. read more

Whoever the employee there this morning was did a great job educating me on what you guys sold and helping me choose what I needed.

Nicky is the best! I called ahead and she answered all the questions I had and made me feel comfortable. I then drove over and was greeted with a smile and felt a very welcoming ambiance. She said hi to my dog while answering all my questions. In no time, she had helped me out with my needs and put a smile on my face as well. As an experienced Kratom user I highly recommend this shop compared to sources that may not be as reputable. If you have any questions or concerns, rest assured that Bumble Bee Botanicals will help you out. I will definitely be back for more Red Bali in the near future, thanks Nicky! read more

I went to bumblebee botanicals for the first time about two months ago. The customer service gal was sweet, helpful, attentive, knowledgeable and her understanding of my questions and needs were met with experience and graciousness. The store is simple but welcoming and actually perfect! The second time I went in there was a week ago and the same gal was there, and she was again very willing and able to talk to me about my needs. I also wanted to say that Kratom is an amazing product, it's helped me in so many ways and I am actually amazed that this product exists and of course it's from mother earth so you got to trust it! I am grateful that there's a store here in town, it's amazing! I believe there are only four other cities that Bumblebee Botanicals are, and that Reno is one of them, thank goodness!! The different strains, variety of Kratom, and prices compared to other places I've looked alone is quite outstanding!! Thank you for being there for me! I recommend this business, five stars plus!! read more

Love the variety and quality of products here. Honestly, I would give it three stars if I based it on the employees that work here. I had quite a few questions my first time here and they were all answered by a very knowledgeable and friendly employee. Subsequent times some of the staff either has been ignorant or just blase in general. You only sell one thing, so its not to much to expect someone to answer basic questions. read more

Awesome customer service! Nikki is always super friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend their products to anyone looking for kratom!

People who work here are extremely pleasant and helpful. The kratom is hands-down best anywhere... very fresh. The environment is the furthest from a smoke shop that you can get... it's like an upscale cooking store, bright and clean, with stylish displays. Prices are similar to other high quality product and prices decrease as you buy more. There's one other good quality mail order kratom distributor in San Diego that's about half the price, but I find myself coming here more often (also great not to have to purchase in advance ;) Thrilled to have a new store in Carlsbad! read more

The best shop in the county. IGNORE the jerks next door who opened an identical shop and are trying to sabotage Bumblebee. I remain loyal to Bumblebee, great selection, great prices, and the nicest people. read more

I wrote a review a year ago and I stand by everything I said. I do want to say that the new kratom shop that open almost right next to bumblebee (The Kratom Store?)is using some pretty petty tactics. They couldn't come up with their own labels or ideas? Or even business location? That alone looks really bad but the woman that runs the place pretty much chases you down as you leave Bumblebee. Now fake reviews are being written on Bumblebees site? Like I said, petty and pathetic. Thank you BUMBLEEBEE BOTANICALS for your unwavering customer service and always having exceptional product. I believe the community that supports you will continue to and hopefully steer clear of the ambush that is next door. Your customer service and product far surpass anything I have experienced and that is what keeps customers. Not chasing, hounding and petty bull from your competitor. read more

I love this Kratom place. I've been coming here for awhile now and they by far have the best kratom. Nicky is always such a sweetheart and always makes me feel so comfortable.
