Less than 24 hours later he sprayed both inside and out. He is quick and lets me know what else to look out for. I just moved into a new, to me, house in Portland, TX. Not wanting to let the insects and critters get out of control and based on a recommendations, I contacted Bulwark Exterminating. They were able to schedule me in short order for initial coverage. John Harden showed up on time with his professional credentials and ready to protect this little homestead. John explained exactly what he was going to do and then he went and did it. When he was finished, he reminded me of what he did and gave the assurance if any insect or critter issues arose to give him a call and he'd come treat again as necessary. Ten days after the second treatment we had many bugs. I called to schedule a retreatment and they scheduled it. When the scheduled time came I received a text saying they could not service my home. I called for an explanation and 30 minutes later a scheduler called wanting to schedule another appointment. I explained they did not show up for this one and I am not waiting for another based on this performance. Canceled my contract and requested a refund for the ineffective service. I was transferred to a supervisor who said they could not issue refunds and disconnected the phone. I called back and the phone was disconnected again without answering it. Very, very poor customer service and not at all reliable. read more

A very professional locally family owned business. I set up an appointment and they arrived early. They accessed the pest problem and explained how it would be treated. We were wanting a preventative treatment. We have several indoor cats and wanted to make sure any chemicals would be safe. They used pet friendly insecticides inside and outside our house. I was so impressed, we signed up for a one year contract. They come by once a quarter for routine care and will come out if needed. I would highly recommend Bulwark Pest Control to anyone. Before he got to work, Micah explained everything about his service, paperwork, cost, frequency, and recommended callbacks (free). Micah sprayed the perimeter of the house and the whole interior in a very professional, deliberate, and thorough manner, paying attention to most likely problem areas. I am very satisfied with Micah's service, appearance, mannerism, and subject matter expertise. He introduced himself and his company before he entered and even asked if he needed to remove his shoes! That's a huge plus for me! He also gave step by step instructions as to everything he was going to do and assured me my new puppy would not be affected by the product they used. Posting a follow up to my glowing first review of this company. Four visits later, the ant and roach problem, which wasn't that out of control, is still ongoing. I had to take off work 3 times to work with their schedule as it i. When I finally got a Saturday I had to wait a couple weeks. On the 2nd visit, the rep came and left WHILE I WAS HOME. He said he knocked and then left. He wasn't happy to have to come back, but I have no idea why he did that in the first place. I'll be canceling my contract and finding another company. read more

I have been with Bulwark for about 2 years now. I have always been satisfied with their service. Rick has been very helpful and courteous. Only once in this this time did I have to call for a retreatment in the house and I was not charged for it. Rick has been friendly and approachable for any questions I have had. He will go the extra mile to make sure that I'm satisfied. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I don't like the automatic scheduling system they have. I do understand why they do that, but I would rather just call them when needed. But it has not been a problem to call and cancel those when necessary, but that is an extra step I have to take. As far as the service and courtesy goes... I have zero complaints. I would recommend them and Rick. read more

Rick was great but Bulwark moved him to San Antonio. Then a technician by the name of Josiah came out. I thought he was good at first. I gave him a check when he came out on 10-2-2020. Apparently, he left it in his truck for six weeks and Bulwark kept sending me nasty letters telling me that I owed them for the 10-2-20 service. I have talked to supervisors at Bulwark over the last couple of months. They note the account but nothing is ever done. I got another nasty letter from Bulwark in the mail a couple of days ago telling me that I still owed for the 10-2-20 date of service. I called in response and was told that Josiah was no longer with the company. The last supervisor I spoke with said that she would call Josh, the Corpus Christi branch manager to see if Josiah ever mailed the check in to Bulwark. Again, the ball was dropped. I am still waiting for a response. I am done with Bulwark. Their billing dept. is in another state and they are horrid. Best to go with a local company. I know that now after spending hours on the phone with supervisors trying to clear this up over the last couple of months. They are a mess!!! Nothing ever gets done. I have mailed in a check before to their billing dept. and they take several months to process it. In the meantime, their billing dept. calls to harass. That's why I thought giving it to the tech would be better. But that only made it worse. Run away from Bulwark!!! Run fast!!! read more

Sad that ya'll are quick to bill after a visit, yet can't show up for scheduled appointments. I scheduled twice and had my son and husband on two separate dates stay home for the hours selected for visit and no one showed up or even called to let us know ya'll weren't coming. A young sales man came to my door today and tried to pressure me into have them spray my house this coming Friday. He informed me that I would get 60% of since the whole neighbor hood was being sprayed. I told him that I had someone else and I was not interested. He then informed since my neighbors housed were being sprayed all there roaches would run to my house if I did not have mine done. He then said they could cancel my service with Orkin and I would not be charged there cancelation fee. I told him I did not use Orkan and I was happy with the exterminator I use. I had to close the door to get him to leave. I felt threatened and reported him to the home owner's association and the police. The was this person acted I feel I could never trust the company he represents. read more

I'm a new customer that was approached by one of their salesmen and promised a thorough spraying from my mailbox to my back fence. He stated that they sprayed inside the walls also to ensure a thorough kill. When they arrived to spray, they skipped the whole front yard and only spot sprayed inside, not through the walls. I informed the sprayer about what the salesman had promised and he stated that only if it was needed would he spray in the walls. A week later the bugs were still here and I had to call and complain, the second spraying was a bit better but they still did not spray inside. Bugs are still all over the place.. I was also informed that it would cost me $79 as a promotion, they took a voided check and charged me $139 for this worthless spraying. I get better results spraying Spectricide myself and at a much cheaper rate. Consider yourself cancelled Bulwark. I'll have to switch bank account numbers now because they just run a check through. read more
