The short version: Dr. Sandler is THE BEST! The long version: I had not had a regular doctor for several years. I came to see Dr. Sandler in 2005 due to some odd symptoms I had been experiencing for a number of months. Although it was unusual for her since she had just met me, she suggested I have an MRI based on a physical and our conversation about my symptoms. An MRI?! I thought that was ridiculous, but humored her, anyway. The following week, the MRI results came back indicating "possible multiple sclerosis". While I would prefer not to have this disease, I am eternally grateful to Dr. Sandler for using her (significant) intelligence, medical knowledge and medical intuition to arrive at that diagnosis. Many people go untreated for years without treatment since MS symptoms can resemble other health. I was a patient of Dr. Sandler's for the next 2 - 3 years until moving to LA. My wife and I have been debating whether or not to move back to PA in the future. While I prefer the weather in LA, I told her that being able to be have Dr. Sandler as a physician, again, would be a big plus if we ever moved back. Dr. Sandler is a wonderfully talented physician who is very caring about her patients. I highly recommend her as a doctor and a person and wish she were located in LA.

I recently moved to the Main Line area and in need of a doctor I turned to yelp. After reading the…read moreonly review I thought I would give her a try. I loved her and her staff! When I first walked in I was greeted by her receptionist who gave me a couple laughs and handed me some paperwork to fill out. After 15 minutes of completing half the paperwork one of the nurses came out and offered to help me with it and took me back in to one of the rooms to enter it in to a computer. She then welcomed me to the area and we talked about my medical history. When Dr. Hargrove game in she was completely wonderful! She was welcoming and really took her time with everything. I could tell that she really cared about my well being and health. She's very knowledgeable and precise. I liked how she wasn't concerned about taking too many tests, just so she could cover all the bases. Also, she didn't undermine my conditions even if there wasn't much evidence on the first test. She looks into the issue until she finds something to fix it. Another plus is that she does pap smears in her office! Over all, she's made my transition to the Main Line easier because I really loved my doctor in Chicago who I had been with for the past 11 years. I'm looking forward to having Dr. Hargrove as my new doctor. UPDATE!: While I still feel that Dr. Hargrove is a wonderful and knowledgeable doctor, her receptionist is very rude. I find myself fearing to ask questions about appointments or even making them because of her invasive questions. I don't think the questions would bother me so much if she was at least a nurse. Lately, I've been trying to figure out if I would rather stay with a doctor that I am very comfortable with and feel like I'm in good hands or if I should go find a new doctor with a less invasive and more polite receptionist. I will restate this... Dr. Hargrove is a perfect doctor, but honestly her receptionist is hurting her practice. This is why I reduced the review from 5 stars to 4.

To make matters worse, she didn't even know one of my conditions; she said she never heard of it. After the visit the next day, she called to tell me I was too complicated and she couldn't be my dr. Huh? I already didn't want her from the moment I met her...no bedside manner, no warmth about her at all. This practice charges extra big bucks if you need them on weekends or need to talk them on the phone for something new that's wrong with you. In my opinion, it's all about the money. The doctor I saw seems to only want easy, healthy, patients. I wouldn't go here for even a stubbed toe. Steer clear!!!

Dr. Jacqueline Scheier is my PCP at this location and she is terrific. I have been seeing her for…read more3 1/2 years and have multiple orthopedic issues, including osteoarthritis in multiple joints that left me with chronic pain. Dr. Scheier has always offered me excellent care and medical advice has never been hesitant to refer me to a specialist when necessary. Despite me seeing several specialists for one issue or another, Dr. Scheier always follows up on all of my treatments, surgeries, and medications. She listens to her patients and is always quick to respond to emails. As a patient, I prefer to have medical options discussed with me and I like that she takes a more consultative approach to patient care, involving the patient, rather than a top-down approach that some doctors take where they direct/order you to do something without explaining why. I never feel rushed during appointments and there always seems to be adequate time to discuss whatever is concerning me. This practice is also in a beautiful, modern, brand new building that houses many other medical providers as well as medical imaging.
