We had Dave install a 5-foot vinyl fence on two of our property lines. He also installed 6-foot fence panels and a gate around an outdoor shower. My experience: -- He was easily accessible by phone and email, -- He showed up exactly as promises to scope the job and share ideas via an iPad catalog of options -- He knew his schedule 6-8 weeks out, so he was able to pinpoint within a day or two his availability to do the job -- His crew was respectful and Dave himself showed up to do work. -- They didn't rush, coming one day to set posts and the next day to attach panels -- They cleaned up after themselves -- A prior customer who lives in my neighborhood (Sandhill Cove on Point Judith) and he said Dave didn't raise the price even after striking rocks that added significant time onto the installation. All in all, Bully Fence does quality work and has integrity. That's a hard thing to find. We'd use them again in a flash. read more

Dave did 2 big jobs for me and everything went great. Had him back to price out a third job and told him to book it. Granted it wasn't a huge job but it was one I needed done to keep my dogs safe. Gave me a 2 to 3 week lead time but said since it was such a small job he would try to get to it in between jobs. That was 5 weeks ago. Been trying to get in touch with him for the last 2 weeks. He hasn't answered me. I am very disappointed. Now it is fall and I have to try to find someone else who isn't completely booked to do the job he left me hanging on. Jokes on him as I was planning a 4th job in the Spring that was another large one. I'll take my business elsewhere. I suggest you do to. read more

I was very happy with Dave and the fence installation. Several months later I had a damaged section of vinyl fence that needed to be repaired or replaced. I called Dave for months and he never responded to my messages. After months of no response I even sent him a text and asked him to text me the name of the fence company so I could order it and have someone else install it. Still no response. Dave has been very unprofessional and I would not recommend him to anyone. If you want a wham, bang, thank you ma'am type of job then he's your guy. read more

Sadly, I cannot write a positive review, based on recent experience with David and Bullie Fence this year. Prior to this experience I would have given David and his company 5-stars, as they performed work at my home a few years ago and it was exceptionally well done with very high quality of finished work. I didn't think to believe that the issues people have had with no responses were truly that prevalent with Bullie Fence. Boy, was I wrong! Recently, this summer, I contacted David at Bullie Fence to take a look at a damaged section of the original fencing and he did come out and quickly fixed the section of fence that was damaged. At that time David also provide me an estimate for new fencing in a larger section of my yard that I wanted done this year. This was a very simple job with one straight line of fencing, no gates, no curves, etc. We had agreed to the materials and to a price in August. David did advise me that he would not be able to get this scheduled until October if that was ok. I agreed, as I was very happy with the quality of work, however as October approached I attempted to contact David to confirm the date he would be performing the installation. I had provided him the quote and agreement we had via his email correspondence and never heard back. I attempted to contact him over a few weeks via several emails, without response. We were now heading into the first week of October and I began to call Bullie Fence and left several messages (at least 4 over a 2-week period), to which he never returned any of my calls. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing that David would ghost a prior client who was clearly happy with his prior work and had been provided a prior estimate and date. Thank god I did not give a deposit at that time. I have worked in the customer service field for over 20 years and this is one of the worst things you can do to your customers. Never ghost them! I would have even been fine if he called and simply let me know that he would not be able to fit my job in, so at least I would have had a chance to find another contractor. The quality of work is great, but I will tell you, you are taking a chance that it may not get done. I would not recommend Bullie Fence now, based on this very poor experience. I hope he takes these reviews and turns this around with his future customers. read more

I will give this business one star because when we met David and decided to hire him for our fence prihect he seemed like a decent human being. That all changed when we received this email from David. I will let you the consumers be the judge of weather or not you want to do business with him. Never in my life have I had a business man treat us like this because we needed him to commit to a date given that we had a new pool with no fence, a huge liability for us. Below is his email. "Never in my 20 years involved in the fence business, have I come across such harassing customers! As I told you at the beginning of April, I was looking towards the end of April for installation due to all the storm delays (I had stated this before you giving a deposit). I have said "approximately the end of April" many times! But that has not stopped your excessive and endless emails. Because of your excessive and endless emails, I called last week, and in conversation with Jose, had stated that towards the end of this week. But once again, another email last night (Tuesday) asking for the starting date, even though I had previously, on the phone, stated end of the week. Yes, that would be one week later than I had originally stated back in the beginning of April. One week late! BIG DEAL!!!! I can't imagine what the pool company had to go through with you! There is no way on God's green earth that I would even think about doing work for you now. If this is how you harass an honest contractor before they even start the job, I can't imagine how you treat them during the actual work. I have been totally transparent from the start about the time line. I will be going to my bank today (Bank of America), and getting a bank check for the $6k deposit. If you are looking for a fence we highly recommend this company. Dave came out and gave us an Estimate for a dog fence we wanted to have put up . There pricing was very reasonable and he said he could do it in a couple of days. He showed up 2 days later right on time and and cemented the poles. He said he would be back tomorrow when the cement was cured. The next day he finished up the job and it looks great . The dogs and I couldent be happier. read more
