Which is kudos for them. Everything is very organized and they've got tons of supps for every diet, every athlete. They also have good deals every now and then! Up to 50% off of items. I don't think a lot of the associates here are genuinely nice, especially the females. It's a very fake kind of retail store nice, and the overall attitude was not great. After I rejected making an account there, she turned very unfriendly and cold. Also did not give me my Popeye's dollars which I qualified for because I spent enough $, and when I asked, she said you can't get them unless you're a Popeye's member. Which is not true because I've collected many Popeye's dollars from different stores. Definitely lied because she didn't want to deal with me anymore, so ew I definitely left very unpleasantly. Every fucking Durham chick working in a supps store thinks she's almighty because she's a fucking bikini competitor and tbh I'm not going back to this location anymore because I'm salty af because they're sour af. Ps. Send me my damn Popeye's dollars to my address.

My boyfriend and I told him we were interested in C4 Pre-workout and he happily offered us a sample since I explained to him I've had sensitivities to energy drinks in the past. We absolutely LOVED that he was so friendly, so knowledgeable, and helpful since we were just starting out with pre-workouts. He even gave us food alternatives that will give us a similar affect and gave us a detailed nutritional breakdown of how pre-workout works. We loved his customer service so much we decided we'd start going to Popeye's instead of GNC for our supplements for now on. On our next visit, though, we met a young female sales associate who wasn't very helpful. We were looking for BCAAs and asked her for recommendations. She just pointed out their best sellers then went back to the desk to play on her phone. Definitely a hit or miss with customer service, but if you know what you are going in for, you shouldn't have a problem. The store is very well organized and it's super easy to find what you are looking for. They also always have super good sales - as supplements can definitely get pricy!

The female employee's attitude was dismissive and rude from the beginning, but I decided to ignore it and proceed with my purchase. When she asked for my membership phone number, I gave her the last four digits first. Instead of politely asking for the number, she responded with, "What?" in an irritated tone, as if I was supposed to know exactly what she wanted. She then told me to give her the entire phone number. After completing the purchase, I simply asked if there were any complimentary items, such as a water bottle or other promotional gift. She bluntly replied that nothing was included and that I could buy one if I wanted. It wasn't what she said as much as the way she said it cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. I have been shopping at this location for a long time. On previous visits, after spending a certain amount, I was often given promotional items, and during my last purchase I even received a complimentary strap. I wasn't expecting a free gift today, and I would have been perfectly fine if none were available. The issue was never the promotional item. It was the employee's attitude and the lack of basic customer service. Because of how I was treated, I decided to return my purchase and get a refund immediately. I'd rather buy my supplements somewhere else than support a store where customers are treated this way.

Years ago, my former colleague (we have been friends ever since) asked me to buy a huge container of protein powder for him from Popeye's online. I never asked why he didn't order it himself, but my guess was that his wife would have questioned his purchase for so much protein... haha! Anyway, since that first experience, I was a regular customer until I could find protein powder at Costco. These days, I tend to look for protein powders that don't contain a ton of sugar and hopefully taste great. Last Friday, I was waiting for my food order from Burger Drops and had some time to kill. I decided to drop by the Popeye's that was next door. I was immediately greeted with protein popcorn. I realize why I love Popeye's so much. It has cool products that I didn't know existed! I stared at it longingly before I snapped out of my trance and continued browsing. Two of my favourite low-sugar brands appeared in front of me: Smart Sweets and Quest. The Smart Sweets sweet fish are my favourite. I often get Quest bars and protein powders, but never paid much attention to the chips until I saw them here. A friendly male staffer said hi and asked if I needed any help. I let him know that I was browsing and was good. As expected, the varieties of protein powders were immaculate. I'd estimate that half the store is just protein powders alone. The protein powder flavours made me salivate instantly. There's Nutter Butter protein powder by Ghost. I nearly bought it, but it had more sugar than I had wanted. The lemon meringue one looked amazing, too. I was good. I stuck with getting snacks. I got the Quest spicy sweet chili, and sour cream and onion Quest protein chips. I also got a package of Smart Sweets gummy worms. The nice man who had greeted me helped cash me out. I used a debit card to pay for my purchases. The buzzer from Burger Drops then went off. I had it resting on my phone that I had placed on the table. It looked like there was an earthquake happening on only the table. "My order's ready," I said to him. "I love Burger Drops! The best food!" he said enthusiastically. "It's my first time," I admitted. "You will love it. The onion rings are to die for!" he endorsed. "Good to know. I'll need to get the onion rings next time. I love them!" He asked if I needed a bag. I didn't, although I felt like I needed one with a crazy, vibrating buzzer with me. I thanked him, headed to my car to drop off my goodies, and then headed into Burger Drops to make the vibrating buzzer stop. I had the gummy worms first when I got home. Yum! I'm so glad that I got them here. The Quest chips were excellent. They were flavourful, although the spicy sweet chili ones were more salty than I had hoped. Each bag curbed my appetite and tasted great. I should get them instead of the protein bars! I'd return to Popeye's should I be in the neighbourhood. The only downside to any business in this stretch is that you take the stairs up and down to enter and exit the store, respectively. Accessibility isn't the best if you need assistance. As with Burger Drops, there are two parking spaces in front of Popeye's for customers. Otherwise, you'll need to park on a side street. (273)

They have products here that I have not seen in other places such as Noah's; the prices are way less too! The price for vitamins and other supplements are generally less compared to other health foods stores as well, but the bulk food is a bit pricey. They do not sell any produce. The place is not too organized and it can take time to find what you're looking for. The staff here is not helpful and they don't offer any help. They seem to be pretty distracted with personal matters such as talking on the phone or blankly looking at the walls. You're pretty much on your own here. I'll come back here because they have most of my vitamins, other supplements and natural beauty products for less here. If you need any recommendation for health products, I would skip this place.

Their range covers most things you'll find in a general health food store - supplements/vitamins, specialised health & beauty products, herbal teas, snack bars, etc. No real 'grocery' section, however. I suppose if you look long and hard enough you'll find what you need - variety of product is decent but the range of stuff within 'categories' can be limited, I suppose. Prices are a little on the steep side, as most brands aren't something you'll pick up in Shoppers/Pharma Plus etc. Good for the occasional need, but not somewhere I would do the majority of my shopping for this kind of stuff.
