Since we're in Canada, we were excited to see poutine on the menu, and it didn't disappoint. It came with three simple ingredients: French fries (not the crispiest, but still good), cheese curds (or cheese grains, as Canadians say), and gravy. All that for $6.99 CAD. They also had a smoked meat sandwich, something I've never seen at Costco elsewhere, which was a nice surprise. Service was fast, though the food court itself was pretty chaotic with the sheer number of people after work. One fun difference from the U.S.--they serve soft-serve cones here. And not just any cones--these things looked massive. I swear some were 2 feet tall (okay, at least 1.5 feet) Very tempting, though we passed this time. In the US, there are aisle of protein powder, jerky snacks, etc. Not in Montreal as I find it more balanced. Check out Costco the next time you are overseas!

Montreal was the third international Costco I've visited, and while the layout and most items are very similar to U.S. stores, there were some fun differences. I noticed more international snacks and foods, plus slightly different pastries in the bakery section. I was also surprised to see in the freezer section the famous Montreal restaurant Schwartz's Smoked Meat -- you can actually buy their smoked meat packs right at Costco. One big difference: the famous rotisserie chicken is $8.99 CAD, compared to $4.99 USD back home. The food court was the main reason I came, and I wasn't disappointed. They had unique offerings like poutine ($6.99 CAD), and a smoked meat sandwich ($7.99 CAD), which you won't find in the States. I tried both items and thought they were good--especially the poutine, which was surprisingly delicious for coming from a Costco kitchen. Interestingly, the classic hot dog combo is still priced at $1.50 CAD, which actually makes it cheaper than in the U.S. after conversion. I've been a Costco member for years and always appreciate the savings--especially on gas--but this visit was extra fun for trying out some distinctly Canadian items. A true paradise. So finding Mayrand was an interesting and clever treasure hunt. Back in the late 80's my dad would take us to a place in Winnipeg called Jensen brothers. This was pre-Costco and a true cash and carry. This was the type of place where you could get some smoking deals on large quantity items. Discovering Mayrand was an exciting and intoxicating display of goods in large quantity. Do you need a 14L pail of Ice cream? Probably the hell not! Unless you are having the whole neighbourhood over for a block party. Or do you need a whole leg of prosciutto? If your family is from Italy or you are having a feast you may need one! Okay folks, Mayrand has quantities for everyday shopping as well. Lots of items! Pretty much every department. They also have a huge restaurant and commercial business side catering to restaurants, bars and other food service outfits as well. I will be honest with my review. It's not all unicorns and gumdrops. I did buy a very cool sharp oyster knife and did search on Amazon after and found it for $20 less. Yes I was a tad pissed. I did want it ASAP though to shuck the two dozen oysters I just had purchased. So shop and understand your prices. Some items here are hella cheap. Think bulk quantity. If you love shopping at Costco you will love their different product assortment. It's just off the A25 on the cusp or Anjou/RDP. Oh yes also. Visa + MasterCard are available as methods of payment making it miles above and beyond better than a cash n carry

Each Costco you go to has local items so Canada of course had a lot more pastries and poutine. Yes, poutine in the food court and packs to make some at home. They also had mini chocolate croissants, nutella filled beignets....and I was surprised they still had the Kirkland hazelnut spread! Ugh, we've been wanting this forever since it disappeared in California. It's better than Nutella in our opinions. The layout was foreign of course, so we didn't explore a whole bunch but noticed that the wine/liquor area wasn't as large. The lines here weren't long and check out went fairly quickly. Overall it was a fairly calm Costco which is amazing and some regional specialties is always fun. Definitely check it out!

I have to mention that Costco has an awesome return policy so if ever you are not satisfied with one of the product they are really flexible. Now let's talk about the shopping so Costco has a little bit of everything from expensive jewelry's to electronics like laptops computers, cameras, tv. Honestly Costco has almost anything you could find. If there was a zombie a Apocalypse. This would be the place you would want to be. They offer a lot of services for example they have a garage, optometrist, photo center and also a pharmacy. Some of them even have gas station and the gas is always a few cents cheaper for some reason. Would definitely recommend the oil change They have a great price. Also if you need a passport picture. Great price! I often go to Costco for the fruits and vegetable. Not always the best price but definitely the freshest in the region. I would definitely recommend coming in with a friend and then splitting the food if you live alone. This is the perfect spot for all families.

They have plenty of your favorite items that have become staples and because this location is a little bit bigger they also stock some of the items you don't find at the other locations. The truth is the store is pretty much always busy but the lines tend to move well. The food court always has the items your looking for in stock and usually serve you pretty quickly too! Another added bonus is the gas station available to all Costco members that give you a pretty good savings!

After talking to 3 people, only one person was honest to tell me that they were never ordered. i told them that I have ap roblem as my last set will be fully used in a few days. They only said that they would order and if could take a long time. They would give me copy of the order. I told them to forget it. It is obvious that there is no effort to help resolve the issue.

I find their matcha tea to be lacking, though. They've got one variety only which sells for about $80.00/lbs and in those large bins it tends to get stale, to say nothing of all the people sticking their hands in it. Another store, ABC des Saveurs has three different varieties of match tea and their most expensive goes for about $27.00/lbs, it's in smaller sealed bins and served by the owners with gloved hands. Much fresher and much more sanitary.
