Talagang awesome. Three Sisters has been an institution in Kapitolyo way before Kapitolyo became a popular food hub. Think 70s. This restaurant was built on the tender, smokey deliciousness of its pork and chicken barbeques. My God, those barbeques. When I was still living in Kapitolyo, it wasn't an unusual thing for me to buy two barbeques, then walk around the neighborhood while chomping on to them. I didn't care. Three Sisters used to be located close to the intersection, in a structure that has seen better days. However, they have since moved to a new joint that is brighter, airy, and snazzier. SO much better.

Out of all the places to get barbecue none are for me, as great as Joey's barbecue. I've been going here since I was a kid. In fact, their barbecue is the standard by which I measure all other barbecues. I think I've said that before about one other barbecue, but this one is my other real standard. If a barbecue doesn't taste as well or juicy as Joey's then it's definitely below great. It may be good, but it will never be great. The best way to eat their barbecue is to get it fresh off the grill. If you're lucky then there are a few ones just fresh off, if not then I strongly recommend that you ask yours to be heated again just so you can understand what I'm talking about. Their barbecue is soft on my gums and teeth. The sauce is sweet to my nose and taste buds. When fresh off the grill, the barbecue has this sort of caramelized texture to it something I rarely see in other barbecues. They have other stuff to offer, but really it's the barbecue you want. It's about P17 each, but I often go there with a P100 bill and leave with nothing left in my pocket.

Made from Iberian pigs from Spain, each bone is like a lollipop of tender dark meat ready for you to suckle on, piece after piece. Honestly a pricey beast, but certainly something to feast. I don't fancy ribs as a regular treat, but when I do crave for some, I go for the best and that's at Morganfield's. Set Meals (Starting from 275 PHP) Just to be clear the ribs and beyond start from 395 pesos, while the 275 versions are just chicken fingers, fish, and the usual normal stuff. The following are the highlights of our dinner there: 1) SMOKIN' DUCK SALAD- The duck meat was smoked then placed on top of mixed salad which consisted of tomatoes, bell peppers, Lolla Rossa lettuce, hard-boiled egg, and cucumber. It was made richer with the added century egg which I hoped was the only egg placed in the salad. Anyway, the soy vinaigrette complemented well with the entire salad that made it uniquely delicious. 2) JIM BEAM BBQ IBERICO BABY RACK - The baby back ribs were slathered with a mixture of Louisana hot sauce and Jim Beam bourbon whiskey. Sadly when Cherry Foodarama closed down and was replaced by S&R, Maya's Delicious Barbeque also had to relocate and I'm glad that they relocated somewhere still near my area. You can order a small or big one for less than 50 pesos per stick. I love that they intertwine the pork and fat in one stick. The marinade they use is superb and the pork is tender. If you're on the hunt for good barbeques, do drop by Pioneer Centers parking lot and get some Maya's.
