These women are amazing! The kids have a great time and learn so much. We have been with them throughout Covid which was a hard time for all, but they were very understanding, cautious and communicative throughout the process. I have always gotten a family vibe from the school and the director and have been very honest (I have overpaid before and they caught and deducted from next month and even paid forward from Covid). To me that shows a lot of integrity, not to mention the extra stuff they offer like date nights, holiday shows, etc. The teachers always communicate if there has been any illnesses and also if my kid or they are concerned about something. When we were looking for childcare, my sister, who works in the school/childcare industry, really liked the way everything was set up and their policies and I am happy with our decision. I remember the first day we walked in everything was so calm and neat. Everything is always neat and clean as well.

We welcomed our second daughter who we signed up for the waitlist ASAP so she could attend once she was 18 months old in 2022. Our experience has been more than I could've ever dreamed. It truly feels like an extended family. We loved Miss Lorraine and Miss Michelle when they were directors and we love Miss Jacqueline who is the current director. So considerate, loving, and happy. Our kids were so blessed to be with Ms Elba (toddler class), Ms Angela and Ms Ozma (2's), Ms Debra (no longer there), Ms Lorraine, and Miss Bri (3's), Ms Rosadah (pre-k, but no longer there) and Ms Frances (kinder). I also need to mention Ms Evelyn because she's loved our girls even though she never directly taught them. I could not speak highly enough of these teachers. They are more than teachers. The guidance and love they showed our kids - It's something I will remember for the rest of my life. Honestly I can't even formulate words to express my admiration for them and gratitude. Truly phenomenal people who are a gift to this world. I am not typically an emotional person but I have been an emotional wreck the past month or so leading up to our girls' graduations. Leaving LSM and these teachers was so incredibly hard and something I am still trying to come to terms with. Our girls love them tremendously and I have the hardest time feeling like our next "big kid school" will even match this experience. I wish they went through elementary school - We wouldn't even think twice of running back!

Ms. Debra, Ms.Francis, Ms.Michelle and many more are very attentive , kind with hearts full of love to all the kids. Both of my kids learned a lot there and I feel like we were the part of their big family. Ms. Michelle is always open to discussion and very accommodative. The school is very clean and well kept, with some areas recently remodeled. We had an amazing experience for our kids and also as parents.

The facilities (beautiful shaded playground, fun classrooms and swimming pool!), welcoming and caring staff and teachers, and enrichment programs (Spanish, physical education, music) were all such a blessing. My daughter started when she was 3.5 with Mrs. Silva and Ms. Riley. My daughter typically has a hard time with new environments but got comfortable with the school right away - she only cried at her first drop off and never again. She ended the year with so many friends and great relationship with her teachers - especially Ms. Riley. She also learned all her letters and numbers. This year, she has been in the pre-K program with Ms. Adele and Mrs. Zangri. It has been a great year so far with learning math, science and sparkle words! My son started in the infant room a year ago with Ms. Alexa and Mrs. Taiko. In the fall, he moved to the toddler room with Mrs. Claudia, Mrs. Ana and Ms. Krysten. All the teachers are so loving and I can tell how my son has bonded with them. I especially loved all the work the teachers put into the open house and other family activities like the Halloween parade, grandparents day, and holiday performance. They create a great sense of community by involving the parents in so much of what goes on at the school. I would highly highly recommend this daycare/pre-school to any family that is close enough. We commuted from Chatsworth and it was totally worth it!

He recommended waiting to see how things played out before deciding whether to write a review or file a formal complaint. Now that time has passed, and no further fallout occurred, I am writing this to help other parents make an informed decision. How dare The Learning Experience contact Child Protective Services (CPS) in an effort to cover their tracks after my wife questioned them about a bruise on our toddler's face, a bruise that was not present when we dropped her off. We understand that toddlers can get bumps and bruises from regular play. But what's unacceptable is the lack of accountability from the staff and the cowardly decision to pass the blame onto parents instead of being transparent. Having CPS show up at our home, suspicious of us as parents was humiliating, distressing, and completely unjustified. Even worse, CPS did not have anything to report, confirming there was no credible concern or evidence behind the daycare's accusation, but now we're in the "system". My wife shares many of the same concerns echoed in other negative reviews. The staff at this location appeared disinterested and undertrained, complaining, disengaged, and clearly "just there for a check." Nearly every time we picked up our daughter, there was a different teacher in the room, and no one seemed to know what had gone on during the day. Communication was chaotic and unprofessional. It often felt like they hired people off the street with zero preparation. We observed several children with crusted snot on their faces, and even our daughter often looked like she'd been "through a storm" by pickup time. These are not isolated impressions, but they reflect a clear pattern of poor management and inadequate care. And filing a formal complaint with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), in still under consideration contingent on statute of limitations. However, we encourage other parents with similar experiences to do the same and NOT let this walk. Sure, positive reviews are plentiful. But I strongly urge any parent reading this to also take the one-star reviews seriously. If you value professionalism, accountability, and compassion in a childcare setting, this is not the place.

My 2.5 year old loves going to school and runs from me when I come to pick her up. She wants to stay and that is vastly different from her last school. My husband and I based our choice on not only…read morethe previous Yelp reviews, but also the recommendations of numerous (20+) mothers in a mothers group I am on in Simi Valley. We are very happy with our decision, and would wholeheartedly recommend Crossroads to other families who are looking for Childcare. It was our first time putting our son in non-family childcare and so understandably we were a bit nervous, however watching him grow and come home and talking about his friends is simply amazing. Crossroads is located at the church (Methodist), and they do teach age-appropriate bible learning. My family is non-denominational, however I think it is important to expose children to different things/teaching. My son will come home and explain to me the stories that he has heard (IE Jonah and the Whale) and also the teachings that he has heard (Sharing, Being Kind..all things that EVERYONE should know and SUPPORT!). Ms. Gordon (the program Director) explained that they would be sharing the teachings, but also that the program is open to everyone regardless of belief. I honestly find it very cute to hear a 4-year olds recollection of a Bible Tale. The staff is all awesome. Ms. Gordon, Ms. Theresa, Ms. Elizabeth. Mr. Ron (the cook) is literally all my son talks about. He gets snack and lunch provided by the school and it is often things like quesadillas, sliders, fruit, vegetables, milk, cereal, granola bars. It has definitely increased the types of food my son is willing to try. Communication from the school is awesome and they take safety as a top priority. I've had a few times where my son has fallen and scraped a knee and I have always gotten an accident/incident report and he always tells me that "teacher" takes care of it and put on a bandaid or a cool pack. Every once and a while the school will have events for parents (hindered by COVID obviously) but we have had Muffins in the Morning and got to go and join our student to make crafts, I really do love these events. The school takes a lot of COVID precautions (sanitizing, hand washing, and all adults wear masks) and I appreciate that the children do not have to wear masks (I personally feel its unrealistic to expect small children to wear masks all day in the California heat). There have only been 2 COVID incidents (one student as close contact to a family member, one confirmed case) since the pandemic began, and I think that speaks volumes for how much the staff cares and takes care of the school. Also, when there was a shutdown due to a case the school was very open and realistic in reaching out to parents and coming to an agreement (individually with each affected family) regarding tuition re-imbursement/payment for that month. Also the price is very, very, very, good for the quality of care and the learning and fun that my son gets to have there. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about Crossroads and their staff. I really do recommend them for childcare.

We enrolled our daughter at this school around the end of October after she was recovered from a…read moremajor surgery and had high hopes that she would be welcomed with open arms and a warm environment from the staff and administration there....as promised by the director. From the get go of her first day she seemed quieter and became more reluctant to go to school and my husband and I began to see why. The teachers were very cold and seemed uninterested in her being there. Then one time the teachers had to take her from my arms crying in the morning, which I understand drop offs can be hard for kids to leave their parents but then when I walked to my car I saw the teachers put her down still crying and not try and console her at all and just walked away and continued talking to the other teachers while my daughter stood there crying. It took another child walking up to her to calm her down...unacceptable behavior for ECE teachers. Then there was a day I went to pick up my daughter and she had major scratches down her nose that later bruised..no teacher or staff could inform me of what happened other than the excuse "she plays hard."...I excused the lack of an ouch report even though it is (mandatory) whenever the head is injured but it is again unacceptable that no one could tell me how the scratch got there. The final straw was a day I brought my hesitant daughter back again and she walked in to her early care room and not a single teacher even said hi to her she just walked in quiet with her head down. My child I two and does not deserve this treatment (no child does) but my daughter had been through a lot this past year with surgery and recovering and all my husband and I wanted was a safe and loving place for her to go to. This place is not it and they portray themselves to provide the "highest quality of Christian education and child care" but our family experienced the opposite. Since taking our daughter out of this school she has flourished and we have even discovered from other families they have experienced the same treatment with their children and have taken them out as well. It is time to update this yelp to let parents know this is not the type of nurturing Christian school they claim to be.
