I haven't been to a build-a-bear since I was like 8, but have always wanted to go back for fun as an adult lol. I was at the mall the other day with my boyfriend, and I was like let's just go in and see how much they are nowadays. We go in and we are the only ones there. They had plenty of "carcases" lol to choose from and a lot were around 20 ish dollars. I didn't want a dragon or a unicorn or anything wild, just a standard teddy bear. They had two colors for the standard basic bear and they were only 14$! I couldn't even buy a stuffed animal at Walmart for the price and I was getting to build this one, so I was like okay yes we are definitely doing it! The staff was really nice. She went through the whole spiel with us as if we were children so it was kind of funny, it made it more fun rather than just being a boring adult and saying okay stuff the bear. She had us choose a heart and let us put one each actually. We had to spin around and rub it on our head and all.. I felt a little ridiculous, but the point waaaas to relieve my childhood so I appreciate the effort! We stuffed the bear and just chose a little heart for him to hold that was 5$. I just wanted a simple t-shirt, but the clothing prices were a little wild, I guess that is where they make money. There was a sports jersey the same price as a legit one. I was happy to find the little heart though because I really did only want something simple. So my total was about 20$ for the bear and heart. I think that is super reasonable. I know kids probably want a lot of extras and the price can definitely add up, but as an adult it can actually be cute to come here for a special occasion or something. They have the voice boxes you can put inside the bear with a recording, I think people that do these with spouses over seas or loved ones that have passed are really nice and I definitely would recommend sentimental bears for adults especially if you just want a basic one, you can get the bear for 14$. Could be a really great gift! My only complaint is it didn't feel quite like it did before, probably because I am old, but even the layout of the store felt more like a shop and I didn't feel like I was walking through all of the steps. The stuffing part was dead center and there were bears on both walls and clothes in the back. I felt like as a child it was more of an Ikea flow, where you go through all of the steps and I really liked that. We did get to print the birth certificate though and named him Bearnard. The lady thought that was just hilarious haha I also asked for the house box which was an extra dollar. Idk if it used to be like that and my parents paid without me knowing, but it is now a dollar for sure. Nothing crazy. I just wanted it for the nostalgia. Anyways, recommend for kids of course but also for adults it can be cute and the prices are much lower than I was expecting.

The Build-A-Bear Workshop in the North Point Mall is a fun place to bring your children for a special occasion. I brought my grandson here to make a holiday bear. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. They helped us pick out a character and explained how the process works. We'll definitely be back.

Daughter was dancing outside your store today with binkys destined to live inside a bear. Staff was great, but at the last minute - said corporate told them they could not assist us in any way with putting a binky or pacifier inside a bear. Changed few months ago. Couldn't leave bear unsown. Had to cut strings. "Can't let you leave the store that way" they said.... but you can buy and install plastic heart beat electronics or voice recorders. We've been planning this for over 1 year and you completely screwed us over today. Thanks BAB corporate for not finding ANY way to accommodate the many customers that expect this service our culture has talked about for many years, and recommended BAB for. Zero. Zilch. Never again. I'm still upset.

You are never too old to build a bear!

We have gone to Build a Bear occasionally since 1999. They have a very consistent product throughout their stores and we always enjoy the experience. We went to the Alpharetta location fort 16 year olds birthday this year. She loved getting her Ironman bear:)

He was very patient with me and overall seemed like a decent person. He bagged each of their toys for them and looked genuinely happy to help them find something they like. I left with a "Have a good one!". Will probably come here again if he's still there. P.S. The things there are a bit pricey though, so if you're not the richest like me I wouldn't recommend coming here
